Be Of Good Cheer!

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all. Psalm 34:19

"Make us glad according to the days in which You have afflicted us, the years in which we have seen evil." Psalm 90:15

Jesus told us that in the world we would have afflictions or tribulation but we were to be of good cheer because He has overcome the world. The word of God tells us on numerous occasions to be strong and of good courage.  "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you" (Deuteronomy 31:6). "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go" (Joshua 1:9). To be strong and of good courage in a midst of trials and tribulations is a choice that a person makes no matter what is going on about him! Because of our faith in God we make a conscious choice to be strong and of good courage and to believe God that He is and will move on our behalf to change things! God’s word is unchanging:

"But you, be strong and do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded!" 2 Chronicles 15:7

"Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid nor dismayed before the king of Assyria, nor before all the multitude that is with him; for there are more with us than with him. 2 Chronicles 32:7

Say to those who are fearful-hearted, "Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, With the recompense of God; He will come and save you." Isaiah 35:4

Fear occurs when there is an absence of faith. Fear occurs when unbelief enters in and says that God is not God and that there is an enemy or problem that God cannot handle. But it’s nothing but a lie from the pits of hell for there is nothing that is bigger or greater than God. Those who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits and they will not be fearful. They shall be dependent on the power of the Holy Spirit just like Jesus did and trust the Holy Spirit to be and do all things for them. God’s word is unchanging:

"The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; Luke 4:18

Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them. Luke 5:17

And He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to Him. Mark 1:13

Yes, the power of the Lord and angels are not just a pie in the sky but real benefits of God given to and for His people.  Angels minister to the heirs of salvation bringing them real help that they need including healing, wisdom, and miracles. God’s word is unchanging:

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.  Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly.  But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. "And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins." Luke 1:18-21

Yes, the angel told Joseph a just man "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.  And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins." Many of God’s people suffer things needlessly because they don’t avail themselves of the miracle working power of the Holy Spirit or the services of angels who are there to minister to them in their hour of need!  Many Christians to their own demise rely only on the own understanding and the written word of God and ignore the supernatural help that is available to them constantly.  Yet God’s word is unchanging:

And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?"

So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them."

And Elisha prayed, and said, "LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

So when the Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the LORD, and said, "Strike this people, I pray, with blindness." And He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha. 2 Kings 6:15-18

Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy.  He who continually goes forth weeping,  Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing,  Bringing his sheaves with him. Psalm 126:5-6

I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.  I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." Genesis 12:2-3

Jesus Christ, our God of hope (Isaiah 53:4,5) bore all our sufferings, agony, transgressions, iniquities, weakness and sicknesses in His body and tasted death for the whole of mankind (Hebrews 2:9). The body and mind of our gracious Lord Jesus was ploughed. He was oppressed in every respect. He sowed Himself in tears for millions of people and allowed His body to be ploughed to death. Today, the fields are ready for harvest. People enter into the kingdom of God only through the sufferings of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Whatever we have sowed in tears and sorrow, we will reap them in great joy. We can look up to the Lord Jesus and pray with steadfast faith. He will do great and mighty deeds for us and make us a blessing for others. God’s word is unchanging:

But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. Matthew 8:26

So He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them. Luke 4:39

Jesus Christ when He walked the earth as the Son of Man and the Son of God rebuked things. He rebuked the winds and the sea that were troubling the disciples and there came a great calm. When Peter’s mother was sick, He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them. When a spirit seized the young boy and convulsed him so that he foamed at the mouth, Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the child, and gave him back to his father. The bible records for our profit and instruction:

Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out,  saying, "Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are-the Holy One of God!"

But Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be quiet, and come out of him!" And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him. Mark 1:23-26

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. Matthew 28:18-20

"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. John 4:12

Whatever Jesus did, He promised those who believe in Him, they would do also and greater works they will do because He went back to the Father. So God’s anointed ones because Jesus is with them always have the authority and power to rebuke things, including sickness, diseases, infirmity, poverty and lack. They can command these things to go away and not come back. They can bind them and bring health and wealth to God’s people and proclaim it to come forth in Jesus name. God’s word is unchanging;

"Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.  "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. Matthew 18:18-19

It’s not God’s fault but man’s that he doesn’t use the power in the name of Jesus that God has given to men. Hence men suffer things needlessly because they don’t operate in the gifts of the Spirit and use the wisdom that God gives. But God’s word is unchanging:

There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.  The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him,  The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,  The Spirit of counsel and might,  The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. His delight is in the fear of the LORD,  And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;  But with righteousness He shall judge the poor,  And decide with equity for the meek of the earth;  He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,  And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. Isaiah 11:1-4

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:  for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,  to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,  to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.  But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. 1 Corinthians 12:7-11

Yes, God’s people can continually live and use the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, faith, gift of healings, the working of miracles, prophesy, discernment, tongues and interpretation of tongues as they tap into the power of God for God’s word is unchanging:

"And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; "they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." Mark 16:17-18

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.  Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:10-13

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

GRACE

TODAY MEDITATE ON: NUMBERS 11:9

And when the dew fell on the camp in the night, the manna fell on it. - Numbers 11:9

GRACE FOR YOUR DARKEST MOMENTS

Look at today’s verse and notice that the manna fell on the camp of the Israelites during the night.

My friend, night speaks of the darkest moments in one’s life. This means that in your darkest moments, God is still supplying you His “manna” or grace. He has not abandoned you and left you to your own devices. No, He is still there with you, caring for you, watching over you and working things out for your good.

So beloved, rest in God’s love for you and let Him sort things out for you. Stop trying to solve the problem in your own strength and wisdom—let God be God to you. He is with you, for your success and will provide for your needs. His grace for you falls afresh every day. His mercies that are new every morning will also see you through the darkest nights!

Today, just see His grace upon you and all around you. Be conscious of it, thank Him for it, and see His grace do wonders for you!

WHAT DO YOU SEE?

'...A great...door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.' 1 Corinthians 16:9 NKJV

Paul writes, 'For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.' So, what are you focusing on? The open door or the adversaries - the opportunities or the obstacles? In 1866, an amateur geologist noticed some South African children playing with a glistening rock. He asked the children's mother if he could purchase it. Thinking it was worth nothing, she gave it to him. Later, when he examined it, he discovered that it was a premium 21 carat diamond. When word got out, a Scottish mineralogist named James Gregory was sent to investigate. He reported back that South Africa wasn't suitable for finding diamonds. He speculated that the previous discoveries had resulted from ostriches, of all things, eating the gems in distant lands and depositing them in South Africa via their dung. A few days after Gregory's report was made public, an 83 carat diamond was found in the area he had visited. It is now known asThe Star of South Africa, and it launched the region's first mining operation in what is today the world's largest producer of diamonds. And what about Gregory? His name lives on, but not as he might have wished. In the diamond industry, when someone exhibits bad judgment, it's called 'pulling a Gregory'. If you ask God, He will help you find the 'treasure' in your field (Matthew 13:44-45). If Jesus could turn water into wine and feed five thousand people with a boy's lunch, think what He can do through you. The question is: what do you see? The open door or the obstacles?

YES AND AMEN :

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” - 2 Corinthians 1:20, NKJV

Have you thought about the fact that God has already said “yes” to His promises in your life? You don’t have to beg God to be good to you. You don’t have to plead with Him to help you. God wants to help you. He wants to pour out His abundant blessing on your life.

Scripture says His promises are “yes and amen.” Amen means “so be it.” In other words, it’s a done deal. All you have to do is make sure you are living up to your end of the bargain. See, God’s love is unconditional, but we have to obey His commands in order to see His promises come to pass. For example, Malachi 3:10 says that we have to bring our tithe to Him in order to see the windows of heaven open. It says in Deuteronomy 5 that we are to honor our parents in order to live a long life.

The good news is that when we surrender our hearts to Him, He empowers us to fulfill every one of His commands. He equips us for every good work because He wants to see us live a blessed life. That’s why His promises are “yes” and “amen”!

NOTE:True prosperity is not wealth itself, but God’s favor, anointing, & power that work in your life to obtain it. - Deut. 8:18

GIFTS

He Gave Gifts To Men

"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!"  Luke 11:13

Therefore He says: "When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men." Ephesians 4:8

As a parent it makes us very happy to give gifts to our children and to see them happy. God is no different. He created man in His own image so that He could give gifts to him. And most Christians receive one or two gifts from God including salvation and the Baptism of the Spirit and think that is all that God has to give them when in fact He has storehouses full in heaven of good things He wants to give them including the gifts of the Spirit, perfect health and great wealth. God’s word is unchanging:

Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.  Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." Genesis 1:26-28

Yes, God created man in His own image and He blessed him and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." To live anything less than as heirs of God is not only to live below the poverty line but it is to be foolish for God’s word is unchanging:

"Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.  "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. Matthew 18:18-19

"And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. John 14:13-14

Yes, Christians as heirs of God don’t have to accept anything negative in their lives. They can use their God given faith to change things and see real changes in their lives including health, wealth and prosperity. It is Satan, who hates God, who could not stand to see God or His children happy. As a result he cause God's children, receivers of His giving to sin in the garden and lose their paradise and blessings. But Jesus came and He restored all that the devil stole and damaged and God’s children don’t have to be poor any more. God’s word is unchanging:

Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours:  whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come-all are yours.  And you are Christ's, and Christ is God's. 1 Corinthians 3:21-23

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9

Yes through fellowship with God God’s children, His heirs of salvation, don’t have to accept material shortage or poverty syndrome. Through faith they have all the riches and resources and power of heaven at their disposal as well as God’s best blessings. They don’t have to live like prodigals — living in a hog pen. They can enjoy all that heaven has to offer them. God’s word is unchanging:

"Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom" Luke 12:32.

Yes, God desires to give good things to His children. They can have His entire kingdom, every part of it! They can have the fatted calf, the robe of righteousness, the ring of sonship, the shoes of service and a great anointing that breaks every bondage. God’s word is unchanging:

Then He said: "A certain man had two sons. "And the younger of them said to his father, 'Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.' So he divided to them his livelihood.  "And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living. "But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want.  "Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.  "And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything.

"But when he came to himself, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!  'I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you,  "and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants." '

"And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.  "And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.'

"But the father said to his servants, 'Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.  'And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry;  'for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' And they began to be merry. Luke 15:11-25

Because of our faith, God bestows His grace upon us, which means that we find favor with Him. This grace is not unmerited in His eyes; it is because of our faith. He responds to our faith by granting us the gift of righteousness — not because of our goodness, but because Jesus purchased it for us at Calvary. We appropriate this gift of righteousness through our faith. So now when God looks at us, He sees only the righteousness of Jesus. Because of the blood of Jesus, we are counted as worthy and deserving of salvation and with it by faith we receive everything else as heirs of salvation including health, wealth and prosperity.  As we give to others God give to us for God’s word is unchanging:

"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you." Luke 6:38
