'Cast all your anxiety on Him.' 1 Peter 5:7 NIV

Learn to ‘cast all your anxiety on Him.’ Only when you have done that will you be able to ‘catch yourself’ when you begin to open the door to worry, allowing it to move in, set up shop and start doing business. What’s your top ten list of worries? Health? Money? A relationship? Children? Your looks? Get to know your most common worries so well that you’re able to treat them like mosquitoes. You don’t procrastinate when a blood–sucking bug lights on your skin. You don’t say, ‘I’ll take care of it in a moment.’ No, you give the creature the slap it deserves. Be equally decisive with anxiety. The moment a worry surfaces, deal with it. Don’t dwell on it. Head it off before it gets the best of you. Instead of ulcerating over what your boss thinks, ask him. Before you diagnose that mole as a cancer, have it examined. Instead of assuming that you’ll never get out of debt, consult an expert, draw up a plan, and take back your power. As long as you’re willing to live with worry, you’ll never overcome it. Instead of allowing worry to cast a big shadow over a small problem, rise up in faith and say, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?’ (Hebrews 13:6 NKJV) Who’s your helper? The Lord! So give your worries to Him and don’t take them back. The Psalmist said, ‘Cast your burden on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.’ (Psalm 55:22 NAS) Peter writes, ‘Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.’ Learn to ‘cast’.

GET READY FOR JESUS

Matthew 24:38 "For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,"

Jesus is prophesying that just as in Noah's day, people will be dominated with the temporary affairs of this life instead of eternal spiritual truths, when Jesus returns. Before our Lord's second return, there will be plenty of signs to show that the time is drawing near, but few will heed them. Preoccupation with the affairs of this life can dull us to the spiritual realm. The Lord kindly but seriously, points out the urgent need to be ready for His return. In the same way that a thief comes when people are the least prepared, so our Lord will return in a time when people are not looking for Him. This is not because our Lord desires to surprise everyone and see how many He can catch unprepared. On the contrary, He is urging us to be watchful so that we will be prepared. Jesus gave us the signs of the end times to help us be prepared. He is simply prophesying that there will be a condition of apathy in the latter days that will tend to lull even the faithful to sleep if they don't take heed to His words. Believers will not be assembled on a mountaintop somewhere waiting for the Lord's return. They will still be going about their daily routines. The Lord told us to "occupy till I come" (Lk. 19:13). We should be ready for the Lord to come back at any moment, yet work as if His return was still far off.

APPOINTMENTS OF DIVINE FAVOR

For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. - Ephesians 2:10, AMP

God has already prepared paths for you to take in your future! When God laid out the plan for your life, He lined up the right people, the right circumstances and the right breaks. In your future, He’s already released favor, supernatural opportunities and divine connections. The breaks you need in life have already been preordained to come across your path. If you will stay in faith and go out each day and be a person of excellence, you’ll walk right into these appointments of favor. It will be just as if you stumbled into God’s blessings! When you really understand this principle, you’ll begin to get excited about every single day! You’ll have a spring in your step as you think about what blessing is coming next. It could be today. It could be tomorrow. It could be next week. Keep expecting. Keep believing. Stay focused on the fact that God has already released into your future everything you need to fulfill your destiny. Start declaring seasons of increase over your life. Declare that favor is on you and look for those appointments of divine favor!

 “I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel” (Isaiah 45:2-3).

When you are in the will of God, you receive the benefit of divine protection and prosperity in every area of your life. Your submissiveness to His leading will clear a path for victory!

Every believer has received the grace & fullness of God. Everything He is, we now possess in our born again spirits. We are complete in Him!

OUR HOPE IS IN ETERNITY

Luke 21:18-19 "But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls."

Jesus says the disciples were betrayed by parents, brothers, relatives, friends, and some disciples were even put to death. Yet, the amazing statement of Christ is that not a hair of their head will perish. The context of this statement speaks of some of the disciples dying, so this is not a promise that no physical harm will ever come. This could only refer to the resurrection.

The Greek word for "resurrection" means "a standing or rising up." The resurrection is a major theme of New Testament teaching. Out of the 13 sermons in the book of Acts, 11 stress or imply the resurrection.

The hope of the believer is the resurrection. The natural, earthly, terrestrial, corrupt, weak, mortal, vile body is said to be raised, changed and fashioned into a spiritual, heavenly, celestial, incorrupt, glorious, powerful, and immortal body. This is the completeness that has been purchased for all of us in Christ.

The Lord views everything in the light of eternity. Man tends to view things in the context of his brief life on earth. From man's perspective, a person who dies for his faith in Jesus has lost a great deal. From Jesus' viewpoint, a martyr hasn't lost a thing. Even the very hairs on our head are numbered.

The patience that Jesus is speaking of here is the calm assurance that God knows every hurt that we feel and He will abundantly recompense us in the resurrection. This knowledge enables us to control our emotions in the face of persecution (i.e. possess our souls) instead of letting our emotions of fear dominate us.

 DO THE ONE THING

…one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her. - Luke 10:42

When Jesus was in the home of two sisters, Martha and Mary, Martha was busy with much serving. Mary, on the other hand, was seated at Jesus’ feet listening to His words. After a while, Martha got angry and said to Jesus, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me” (Luke 10:40).

Based on Middle Eastern culture, when you invite someone to your home, you ought to prepare some food for your guest. So Martha wasn’t doing anything wrong. Yet, Jesus’ response to Martha’s complaint was this: “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her” (Luke 10:41–42). He gently rebuked Martha and defended Mary.

Notice Jesus didn’t rebuke Martha for her much service. He showed her how she was “worried and troubled about many things.” Jesus told Martha that “one thing is needed”—sitting at His feet and listening to His words.

My friend, if you’re troubled about many things today, take time do that one thing—sit at Jesus’ feet and draw from Him. He wants you to draw deeply from His inexhaustible grace, wisdom and supply. This is the only thing that is needful, not five or 10 other things. Do you truly believe that?

WISDOM IS TO DO NOW WHAT YOU WILL BE SATISFIED WITH LATER.

From a practical standpoint, wisdom is to do now what you will be satisfied with later.

This means that if you know doing something will be very beneficial later, then you do it now even if you don't want to. The opposite is also true: a person who lacks wisdom will base his or her actions on what feels good right now instead of looking at the long-term picture.

For example, say you want to eat a snack, but you aren't hungry. You might say to yourself, "Well I know I shouldn't eat this, but ... ." And then you decide to keep eating even though you are full. Your actions followed your feelings instead of wisdom, and it's a decision that may lead to results you're not happy with later.

Clearly, wisdom requires using self-control to choose to do what is better. A wise person looks at the end results instead of focusing only on his or her immediate circumstances. In short, wisdom is to do now what you will be satisfied with later.

YOU ARE VALUABLE
NOT BECAUSE OF WHO YOU ARE, BUT BECAUSE OF WHOSE YOU ARE.

What is it that makes you valuable? What makes you feel important? Is it your wealth? The fact that you're well educated? Do you feel important because you get lots of cell phone calls, so that must mean you're popular? Or do you feel valuable because you have a high position of leadership at work?

While it certainly isn't wrong to be wealthy, well educated, popular, or in leadership, we must not let those things define our worth and value, because things can (and likely will) fail us. Cars break down; houses burn down; profits sink down; and with them, our self-worth falls down.

But God declares that you're worth everything to him -- you're worth all Christ offered. You are not your own; you were bought at a price (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). That price is the life of Jesus.

You are precious in God's sight -- you're his child (Ephesians 1:5). Almost every parent would agree that his or her child is the most precious thing in the world; and that's the way God views you! It's no wonder God labels his people as his treasured possession (Deuteronomy 14:2).

Don't let wealth, education, popularity, status, or anything else define your value. Know that you worth everything to God, because you're His.

 PINK SHEEP

By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another. —John 13:35

While traveling on a road from Glasgow to Edinburgh, Scotland, I was enjoying the beautiful, pastoral countryside when a rather humorous sight captured my attention. There, on a small hilltop, was a rather large flock of pink sheep.

I know that sheep owners mark their animals with dots of spray paint to identify them—but these sheep really stood out. The owner had fully covered every animal with pink coloring. Everyone knew who those sheep belonged to.

Scripture calls followers of Christ sheep, and they too have a unique identifying mark. What is the “pink coloring” in a Christ-follower’s life? How can someone be identified as Jesus’ own?

In the gospel of John, Jesus, the Good Shepherd, told us what that identifier is: love. “Love one another; as I have loved you . . . . By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:34-35).

In words and deeds, a believer should show love to all those around. “Beloved,” John writes, “if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another” (1 John 4:11). A Christian’s love for others should be as obvious as pink wool on a flock of Scottish sheep.

Dear Lord, remind me that this life is not about me and my needs, but about others and how Your love can shine through me to them. May Christ like love be my distinguishing characteristic.

As followers of Christ, our love should make us stand out in a crowd.

BE STRONG

 

 Be Strong In The Power of His Might

that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,  may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height-  to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,  to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:16-21

 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.  Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:10-13

There are those Christian preachers who blame all the problems in the lives of Christians on their carnality and on the words they speak!  While Apostle Paul prayed for the  individual Christians in Ephesus that God would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man and told them to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places!

To wrestle not only implies force but physical contact otherwise there is no wrestling match. Hence to beat our opponent the devil we must be have strength and power that comes from the LORD, otherwise we will be defeated and even deceived as the devil plays games with our minds, wills and emotions including to cause us to walk by sight instead of by faith trusting and believing God and His word no matter what!

Speaking of deception which is a very common wile of the devil which he used on Eve, Dr. Larry Ollison in his article Self-Deception Can Be Deadly states:

Sometimes we are deceived and it is not Satan who deceives us.

First Corinthians 3:18 says, “Let no one deceive himself.”   And in 1 John 1:8 it says, “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”  We can see clearly from these two verses that it is possible to deceive ourselves.

But how do we deceive ourselves anyway?  Once again let’s go to the Word.  James 1:22-25 says, “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.  For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.  But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”

So, according to the Bible, a man who hears the Word and does not do it deceives himself.  Because he hears the Word of God, he has convinced himself that everything is okay.  The reality however is that everything is not okay.  He just thinks it is.  Therefore he has deceived himself.

In Matthew 7:24, Jesus tells the story of two men who built houses.  One man, a wise man, built his house on the rock and when the storms came, his house withstood the storms.

The other man, a foolish man, built his house on the sand.  When the storms came, his house was destroyed.  Jesus said the man who built his house on the rock was like someone who hears His sayings and does them.  He compared the foolish man who built his house on the sand to a man who heard His sayings and did not do them.

Both men built houses and probably both houses looked good.  Both men heard the sayings of Jesus and that’s good.  But when the storms came, only the house built on the rock, only the man who acted on what he heard, survived.  Acting on the Word of God is what we call FAITH.

We must not deceive ourselves.  Hearing the Word of God without acting on the Word can be deadly.  God didn’t give us His Word just so we would be highly educated.  Education is good.  It’s a good thing to read and study God’s Word, but without action it profits us nothing.  That’s what the scribes and Pharisees did at the time of Jesus and Jesus rebuked them for their hypocrisy.

So, we have a choice to make.  Do we hear the Word and sit back and say, “That sounds pretty good” and do nothing?  Or, do we hear the Word and then act on what we hear?

A doer of the Word is someone who prays for the sick.  A doer of the Word is someone who forgives.  A doer of the Word is someone who loves those who don’t love in return.  A doer of the Word is someone who casts out demons.  A doer of the Word is someone who has not deceived himself.

Both Jesus and Apostle Paul taught us that we are not to let no one deceive us especially false prophets who come to us in sheep’s clothing. The bible tells us:

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.  "You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?  "Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.  "A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.  "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.  "Therefore by their fruits you will know them.   "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.  "Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?'  "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!' Matthew 7:15-23

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them.   For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. Therefore He says:  "Awake, you who sleep,  Arise from the dead,  And Christ will give you light." Ephesians 5:6-14

If deception of Christians by empty words of deceivers were not possible then Apostle Paul would not warn Christians about it or that because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience and also tells us do not be partakers with them.

And scriptures doesn’t tell us that exposing the unfruitful works of darkness which are done by the sons of disobedience is wrong but rather children of light are to become aware of them, expose them and to have no fellowship with the perpetrators of  evil, lies, deception and wickedness many of whom are goats not sheep! And God’s word is true:

 "Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:  'for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink;  'I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.' "Then they also will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?'  "Then He will answer them, saying, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.'  "And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life." Matthew 25:41-46

Jesus taught that the goats who did not give him food when He was hungry, give him drink when He was thirsty, take Him in when He was a stranger, clothe Him when He was naked, visit Him when He was sick and in prison would go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life. Yes, all those who did not minister to the least of one of these are unrighteous. And since Jesus wrote the rules and enforces them, they are in deep trouble.

Yes, Jesus taught that all His words were not to be ignored or there would be serious consequences.  He also told us to beware of men who would come as wolves in sheep’s clothing and would teach the doctrine of men as commandments of God (Matthew 16:9). He also taught:

·         'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word of God.' "

·         'You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.' "

·         'You shall not tempt the LORD your God.' "

Yes, these are the keys to proper ministry and Christian living for God’s word is unchanging:

Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,  being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry.  And the devil said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread."  But Jesus answered him, saying, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word of God.' "

Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.  And the devil said to Him, "All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. "Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours."  And Jesus answered and said to him, "Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.' "

Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here.  "For it is written:  'He shall give His angels charge over you,  To keep you,'  "and,  'In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.' " And Jesus answered and said to him, "It has been said, 'You shall not tempt the LORD your God.' "

 Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time. Luke 4:1-13

Now godliness with contentment is great gain.  For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.  And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.  But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.  For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.  But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.  Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:6-12

The enemy and men are great liars and deceivers and love to appeal to the lusts of men including mouthing words that sound nice and appear to true but have no basis in fact. In order to ensnare those who are gullible, even the righteous, the eloquent words that men speak about something must appear to be true and must have an element of truth in them. It’s a well known fact that if something appears too good to be true, then it’s not true. Even though many pastors and preachers have promised a hundred fold returns for money sowed into their ministries, very few, if any, of the sheep can testify that they have had a consistent hundred return fold from their giving into a particular ministry. Yet God’s word is unchanging:

"I have heard what the prophets have said who prophesy lies in My name, saying, 'I have dreamed, I have dreamed!'  "How long will this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? Indeed they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart,  "who try to make My people forget My name by their dreams which everyone tells his neighbor, as their fathers forgot My name for Baal.  "The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream;  And he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully.  What is the chaff to the wheat?" says the LORD.  "Is not My word like a fire?" says the LORD,  "And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

"Therefore behold, I am against the prophets," says the LORD, "who steal My words every one from his neighbor.  "Behold, I am against the prophets," says the LORD, "who use their tongues and say, 'He says.'  "Behold, I am against those who prophesy false dreams," says the LORD, "and tell them, and cause My people to err by their lies and by their recklessness. Yet I did not send them or command them; therefore they shall not profit this people at all," says the LORD.  "So when these people or the prophet or the priest ask you, saying, 'What is the oracle of the LORD?' you shall then say to them, 'What oracle?' I will even forsake you," says the LORD.  "And as for the prophet and the priest and the people who say, 'The oracle of the LORD!' I will even punish that man and his house. Jeremiah 23:25-34

Even though quite a few pastors and preachers prophecy false dreams and vision and cause God’s people to  err by their lies and by their recklessness, God did not send them or command them; therefore they shall not profit the people at all. And God will in due season punish those are false and those who listen to their lies.

We are to check everything that we hear about God and His word with His written word, the bible, and with the Holy Spirit. If it is really His word then there must be a confirmation with two witnesses and with miracles, signs and wonders - otherwise it not from God but from man or the devil.

HIS PEACE

 

JESUS HAS GIVEN YOU HIS PEACE

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you

In Israel, Jews greet each other with the words shalom, shalom. Unlike the English word peace, shalom does not just mean peace of mind, but also wholeness for your entire beingspirit, soul and body. It means having a sense of completeness and soundness. In other words, shalom encompasses your provision, health, safety and total well-being.

When Jesus spoke to His disciples in John 14:27, He did not use the English word peace. He would have used the Hebrew word shalom, saying, Shalom I leave with you, My shalom I give to you Interestingly, the word leave here actually means bequeath, the way a rich man bequeaths his estate to his beneficiary.

The disciples must have been excited when they heard that Jesus was bequeathing them His shalom. They must have known that to receive His shalom was to have His health because they had never seen Him sick. To have His shalom also meant never being in lack because He was never broke. Whenever He needed money, money was there. Once, money to pay the temple tax came in the mouth of a fish! (Matthew 17:2427)

The disciples also understood that having Jesus shalom meant having His abundance because they had seen Him meeting the needs of thousands with plenty of leftovers. They saw him feeding 5,000 men (not counting the women and children) with 12 baskets full of leftovers! (Mark 6:3444)

Jesus wanted His disciples to know that His peace was different from the peace that the world offers. His peace would change whatever trying circumstances that beset them. Even if it was a mega storm, it would have to bow to His peace. The Prince of Peace merely spoke, Peace, be still! and the winds and the sea obeyed Him. (Mark 4:39) His peace changed the mega storm into a perfect calm.

Beloved, that is the kind of peace that Jesus has bequeathed to you. Therefore, believe that His shalom which He has left with you will change all your difficult situations, bringing you from sickness, lack and mental anguish to health, provision and total wellness!

OUR NATURE IN CHRIST …

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. - Matthew 24:13

Here, Jesus teaches that the believer must persevere to receive complete salvation. Salvation is a gift that cannot be earned or maintained by our own works. It has to be received by faith. However, there is effort on our part to maintain that faith. This is where holiness comes in.

Holiness will not produce relationship with God, nor will a lack of holiness make God turn away from us. He deals with us according to our faith in Jesus, not our performance. Holiness will keep Satan from stealing our faith, while a lack of holiness is an open invitation for the devil to do his worst. A person who wants to endure to the end cannot live a lifestyle that permits Satan free access to him.

Although God is not imputing our sins unto us, we cannot afford the luxury of sin because it allows Satan to have access to us. When a Christian does sin, and allows the devil an opportunity to produce death in his life, the way to stop this is to confess the sin. God is faithful and just to take the forgiveness that is already present in our born-again spirit and release it in our flesh, thereby removing Satan and his strongholds.

Holiness is a fruit and not a root of salvation. That is to say that holiness is a by-product of relationship with God; it does not produce relationship with God. It is the nature of a Christian to walk in the light, not in the dark. When we are rightly informed of who we are and what we have in Christ, then holiness will naturally flow out of us because it is our nature.

 God’s Provision Exceeds All Your Expectations

So Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, “Please let me go to the field, and glean heads of grain after him in whose sight I may find favor.”… Then she left, and went and gleaned in the field after the reapers. And she happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz… - Ruth 2:2–3

Are you believing God for a certain breakthrough today? Trust the Lord to position you at the right place at the right time to experience His provision. Believe that He has gone before you and prepared a provision that will exceed your expectations!
If you’re trusting God for a life-partner, for example, look at the story of Ruth. Of all the fields that she could have stepped into to collect grain, the Lord led her to Boaz’s field! Boaz then fell in love with Ruth and the rest is history.

In the natural, all the odds were stacked against Ruth. She was a poor widow and a Moabitess (a foreigner). But that did not stop her from putting her trust in the Lord’s favor. Now, that favor not only led to the provision of grain for her and her mother-in-law, Naomi, it also led to the provision of a blessed life partner.

Beloved, God’s provision will exceed all your expectations! Ruth was only believing for grain, but the Lord exceeded her expectations and blessed her with Boaz! Believe with all your heart that Jesus can do the same for you!

You may have difficulties that look extremely large, obstacles that look impassible, but nothing can stop the flood of God's power.

 “Again I tell you, if two of you on earth agree (harmonize together, make a symphony together) about whatever [anything and everything] they may ask, it will come to pass and be done for them by My Father in heaven (Matthew 18:19, AMP).

The effectiveness of your prayers is ensured when you stand in agreement with others. The devil is no match for two or more believers in agreement with one another. Join forces with another believer in prayer today!

 DISPOSABLE CULTURE

Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. —Psalm 136:1

More than ever, we live in a disposable culture. Think for a minute about some of the things that are made to be thrown away—razors, water bottles, lighters, paper plates, plastic eating utensils. Products are used, tossed, and then replaced.

This disposable culture is also reflected in more significant ways. Many times true commitment in relationships is seen as optional. Marriages struggle to survive.

Long-term employees are discharged just before retirement for cheaper options. A highly revered athlete leaves to join another team. It seems as if nothing lasts.

Our unchanging God, however, has promised that His loving mercy endures forever. In Psalm 136, the singer celebrates this wonderful promise by making statements about God’s wonder, work, and character. He then punctuates each statement about God with the phrase, “For His mercy endures forever.” Whether it is the wonder of His creation (vv.4-9), the rescue of His people (vv.10-22), or His tender care for His own (vv.23-26), we can trust Him because His mercy will never fail. In a temporary world, the permanence of God’s mercy gives us hope. We can sing with the psalmist, “Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever” (v.1).

I sing of mercies that endure,
Forever builded firm and sure,
Of faithfulness that never dies,
Established changeless in the skies.

God’s grace is immeasurable; His mercy inexhaustible; His peace inexpressible.

MAKE YOUR TIME COUNT …

'All our busy rushing ends in nothing.' Psalm 39:6 NLT

If there aren’t enough hours in your day to get everything done, chances are you can relate to David’s lament: ‘All our busy rushing ends in nothing.’ Mark Roberts writes, ‘It’s hard to think of a more relevant insight for our time… we’re seeing our nest eggs dry up and our economic hopes dashed… We feel as if we’ve been rushing about “[like] moving shadows” (Psalms 39:6 NLT), without substance.’ To maximise your time, Mary M. Byers says: ‘Make lists: what do you want to accomplish this week? List work–related tasks on one side and home–related on the other. That way you won’t have to struggle to remember everything. Consult your schedule first: understanding your current workload is essential to maintaining realistic goals. Are you booked solid, or is this a more relaxed week? If it’s the latter, you can tackle more than you could during times when you’re constantly on–the–go. Prioritise: highlight what has to be done this week, and put everything else on a secondary list. Focus on your highest priority and work on the rest as time permits. Delegate: is there a colleague who can assist at work? The same applies to home–based activities; let your kids pitch in. It’ll help you, and instil a sense of pride and responsibility in them. Think About What You're Thinking About

"But Peter said, 'Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.'" (Acts 5:3-4)

Words and observations enter through the realm of the soul. When they enter, we have a choice. We either accept them or cast them down. The words we receive and accept eventually enter the heart and either strengthen fear or strengthen faith. What they strengthen is determined by the source of the words.

Words of doubt and unbelief, if accepted, will eventually develop or strengthen fear. Words of truth, if accepted, will strengthen or develop faith. Every thought you have either complements or contends with faith.

When Jesus was talking to His disciples in John 16:6, He said, "But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart." Your heart can be sad, or your heart can be happy. The decision is yours. Hear and accept words of sadness and sadness will grow. Sadness is a type of fear.

The Word of God is God's faith. When you are open to receiving God's Word, and you hear God's Word, then faith goes into your heart like a seed. It will grow into a full manifestation. In the same way, Satan's words are like seed. When you are open to his words, even without realizing you are, his lies and deceptions are planted into your heart and will grow into full manifestation. Understanding is not necessary to receive.

So the conclusion is this. Allow your heart to be filled with God's Word so that faith will abound. Reject and cast down the fear-filled words of the enemy. Only you can make this choice. Choose wisely.

PARTYING or CLUBBING

PARTYING or CLUBBING like the world is a SIN for "Christians". The Bible says it. What does that mean? That means don't go the NIGHTCLUBS, don't go to BARS, don't hang someone's HOUSE party who has more liquor than the bars and everyone is drinking. Yes! I said it! Why? Because these environments always involve sex, drunkenness, and drugs. Girls night out or guys night out if you are married also applies. Too many Christians are doing this or maybe they are really non-Christians!!! 

To put it bluntly, nightclubs are part of the world which is controlled by Satan. They are designed for the purpose of giving oneself over to sinful desires. Nightclubs exist primarily for two purposes: drinking alcohol and/or meeting members of the opposite sex, most often with sexual activity in mind. Yes, there are music and dancing (most of that is sexual in nature as well), but primarily singles in particular go clubbing to drink and meet someone. Sex, alcohol, and drugs—all found in most nightclubs—are very destructive, both physically and spiritually. God has a place for sex where it is the most enjoyable—in monogamous marriage, where there are no STD's, HIV, guilt, aloneness—and those who don't believe God in this are short-changing themselves. "CHRISTIANITY 101."

Nightclubs/Bars/House Partying are of the world, and, while Christians are to be in the world, we are not to be of it. Who cares if your friends say you are too strict or judgmental??! I know so many "Christians" even in Christian leadership(not at my church) that are doing this. Remember...It will always destroy your witness and tempt you as well. Bad company corrupts good character (1 Corinthians 15:33).

"For the time already past is sufficient for you to have carried out the desire of the Gentiles, having pursued a course of sensuality, lusts, drunkenness, carousing, drinking parties and abominable idolatries. In all this, they are surprised that you do not run with them into the same excesses of dissipation, and they malign you; but they will give account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.… 1 Peter 4: 3-5

THE TIME

THE TIME OF FAVOR …

...I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation. - 2 Corinthians 6:2, NIV

Now is the time of God’s favor! Not next week, not next month, not 20 years from now. No, now is the time God wants to amaze you with His goodness and overwhelm you with His love. Too often we think, “Something great is coming in my future. I know God is going to be good to me.” But, we also need to realize that God wants to be good to us today! Right now! He wants us to know that we are living in the time of His favor.

We are favored first with salvation through Jesus. Then we are in position to receive all of the blessings and benefits that come from being in covenant with Almighty God. What are those blessings? They are found in His Word — eternal life, peace, joy, hope, health, provision, protection and so much more. His favor lasts a lifetime because it will take a lifetime to experience all the good things He has in store for you!

Today, if God appeared to you and you could ask Him for anything, what would you ask for? Solomon asked God for wisdom and the Bible tells us that Solomon’s request “pleased the Lord.”

I believe that the same request that pleased the Lord then still pleases Him today. No wonder the Bible tells us that wisdom is the “principal thing” (Prov 4:7). When we have wisdom, all the things we seek will follow after us, including honor and length of days. So beloved, ask God for wisdom today

There is NO LIMIT to what GOD can do IN YOU and THROUGH YOU when you REPROGRAM your THINKING and START BELIEVING that you are BLESSED.

GOD IS YOUR ABBA, FATHER

Galatians 4:6 - And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, Abba, Father!

Have you ever realized that God was never known as Father until Jesus came to earth and revealed Him as such? In His prayer to His Father, Jesus said, And I have declared to them Your Name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them. (John 17:26) What name was Jesus referring to? It was the name Father. If there was anything close to Jesus heart, it was to introduce God as Father to us.

In the Bible, Jesus said, Therefore, do not worry, saying, What shall we eat? or What shall we drink? or What shall we wear? For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. (Matthew 6:3132) Once, He said, If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! (Matthew 7:11)

Jesus wants you to always have this image of God in your mind that He is your Abba, Father. Why? Because He wants you to know that there is nothing more important or too insignificant for the Father when it comes to His children.

Imagine a father playing with his five-year-old son, when he notices a splinter embedded in his little boys thumb. The concerned father asks, When did you get this?

A few days ago, the boy answers.

Why didn’t you tell Daddy about it?

I thought you were too busy and that I shouldn’t bother you.

If you were that father, wouldn’t it break your heart to hear your child say this to you?

A splinter in ones thumb may be a small thing, but there is nothing too small when it concerns your child because if it affects him, it affects you too. Now, no matter how old you are today, you are still Gods child, so don’t think that your problem is too small for God. If it is important to you, it is important to your Father too. Beloved, always remember that He is your Abba, Father!

BASE YOUR RELATIONSHIPS ON GOD

And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. - Matthew 24:12
The only reason that an abundance of iniquity would make anyone's love for the Lord wax cold, is if he were not separated from that iniquity. As with Lot, a righteous man can vex his soul from day to day by hearing and seeing the unlawful deeds of the ungodly (2 Pet. 2:8).

We have to deal with the world's system and those in it, but we need to be careful and maintain proper balance. We should shun relationships with those who influence us negatively more than we influence them positively.

Marriage is one area where this principle is especially true. There is no closer union in life than the marriage relationship. A believer who marries an unbeliever is directly violating this scripture and is toying with disaster. The Lord should be the most important person in our life. How could we possibly become "one" with a person who doesn't love our Lord?

It is folly to think that after marriage an unbelieving spouse will accept the Lord. Although that does happen, it cannot be guaranteed. In fact, statistics are overwhelmingly against this happening. Regardless of that possibility, a believer who marries an unbeliever is directly violating God's instructions here. It is not a good start to any marriage to spurn God's Word.

Being unequally yoked with unbelievers just doesn't work. Believers and unbelievers are as different as righteousness and unrighteousness, light and dark, Christ and the devil. One has faith and the other has none. One is the temple of God and the other an idol. Any Christian who doesn't see this conflict is deceived.

 FILTERED LIGHT

It is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts. —2 Corinthians 4:6

The painting A Trail of Light by Colorado Springs artist Bob Simpich shows a grove of aspen trees with golden leaves lit by the autumn sun. The topmost leaves are brilliantly illuminated while the ground beneath the trees is a mixture of sunlight and shadows. The painter said of this contrast, “I can’t resist the light filtered through to the forest floor. It weaves a special magic.”

The apostle Paul wrote to the followers of Jesus in Corinth, “For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” (2 Cor. 4:6). Paul goes on to describe the reality of life in which “we are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; . . . perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed” (vv.8-9).

There are times when it seems that the light of God’s face is dimmed because of our difficulty, sorrow, or loss. Yet, even in these dark shadows, we can see evidence of His presence with us.

If we walk in filtered light today, may we discover anew that God’s light—Jesus—is always shining in our hearts.

Lord, shine the light of Your face on us that we may find our way to Your salvation. Shine Your light into the darkness that envelops our world that we may see who You are and show others the way to You.

In dark circumstances, God’s light is still shining in our hearts.

The same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is abiding in you right now! You are infused with the power of the Holy Spirit! (Romans 8:11)

DON'T 'DRIFT AWAY' …

'We must give...earnest heed...lest we drift away.' Hebrews 2:1 NKJV

The Bible says, ‘We must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away…How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?’ (Hebrews 2:1–3 NKJV) Note the words ‘drift’ and ‘neglect’. Those words should set off alarm bells! Samson’s decline was so gradual that he didn’t even realise it was happening. Like flipping a switch, he’d become used to drawing on the power of God and overcoming every enemy and obstacle. But sin and self–indulgence became his undoing. When Delilah said, “‘The Philistines are upon you, Samson!”…he awoke from his sleep, and said, “I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!” But he did not know that the Lord had departed from him. Then the Philistines took him.’ (Judges 16:20–21 NKJV) When you neglect God you begin to ‘drift away’. Your prayers aren’t as effective. You’re no longer a godly influence on those around you. You slip back into old habit patterns. You refuse to forgive those who’ve offended you. You fail to make amends to those you’ve hurt. You start doing what’s expedient and comfortable instead of what’s right. You harbour attitudes of fear and resentment. You feed your old nature and neglect your new one. These are all signs that you need a spiritual checkup. Ask God today to highlight those attitudes, activities and relationships that need to be dealt with and start weeding them out. The good news is that when you’re obedient to God’s Word and the Spirit’s leading, you regain your spiritual vitality and God can use you more effectively.

NOT SATISFIED WITH JUST BEING SAVED

Genesis 12:7 - Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” And there he built an altar to the Lord, who had appeared to him.
I don’t know about you, but I am not satisfied with just knowing that I am righteous by faith. I also want to get to know the One who made me righteous. I want to have an intimate relationship with my Savior!

Abraham was such a man. He was righteous by faith, but he also had a close walk with God and was blessed by God in all things. (Genesis 24:1) His nephew Lot, on the other hand, although righteous too (2 Peter 2:7–8), had no heart for God. He ended up losing a lot when Sodom, the city he dwelt in, was destroyed along with Gomorrah. He was saved by the skin of his teeth!

My friend, do you want to be a Christian like Lot, righteous but always finding yourself in trouble, or do you want to be a righteous-and-blessed Christian like Abraham? Then, like Abraham, have a heart for God.

From place to place, Abraham would build an altar to the Lord. And in between altars, he grew very rich! (Genesis 13:2) There is no biblical record, however, of Lot ever building an altar to the Lord.

What is an “altar” in today’s context? It is a place where you know that you have a close relationship with God. For example, when my late father was in the hospital, I was worried and did not know what to do. I remember driving down the road and crying. After a while, I just threw my cares to the Lord. When I reached the hospital, I just laid my hands on my father and said, “Be healed in Jesus’ name.” And he was healed!

Till today, I can remember the place where I had cast my cares to the Lord and leaned on His love for me. That is my “altar”. And it is not the only one.

We have got to have this kind of relationship with God, one full of “altars” that remind us of His love, goodness and faithfulness. Let’s not live the Christian life like Lot, saved by the skin of our teeth. Let’s walk closely with God as Abraham did, and be richly blessed in every area of our lives!

Choose to have an intimate relationship with the One who made you righteous.

GUARD AGAINST DECEPTION ...

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. - Matthew 24:3-5

Deception can be avoided or else Jesus would not have said, "Take heed that no man deceive you." Satan can only deceive those who allow him to do it.

Ephesians 6:11 tells us to "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." Putting on the whole armour of God will protect you from the deception of the devil. Just wearing part of God's armour will not fully protect you. Many Christians have been running around with the helmet of salvation on but nothing else. There is more to overcoming the devil than just being saved. We have to understand our righteous position in the Lord. We also must possess faith, know the Word, and understand the gospel of peace.

The Christian life is a constant struggle against Satan, who is trying to corrupt us. Most Christians are aware of the warfare, but they don't know where the warfare is occurring. The battle is in our mind. Just as the serpent didn't come against Eve with brute force, but rather used words to deceive her, likewise Satan tries to corrupt us through thoughts contrary to the gospel. Satan's original tactic was deception and that is still his method of operation today.

One of the characteristics of children is that they are easily deceived. They are gullible. One of the things that must take place to move from childhood into sonship is spiritual discernment. This comes from being grounded in the Word of God.

The way to recognize deception is not to analyze all the false claims but rather to become so familiar with what is genuine that a counterfeit will be easily recognizable. Anyone who is truly grounded in the Word of God will not be deceived.

SET YOUR DAY IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION …

When was the last time you just sat down and thought about the goodness and faithfulness of God? So often, we intend to start our days in the right direction, but then distractions come and the cares of this world creep into our thoughts. Before we know it, we are so focused on our “to do” lists and trying to stay ahead of the game that our thoughts get completely off course!

One thing you have to always be aware of is the fact that what you dwell on will set the direction and quality of your life. If you are constantly dwelling on the “what if’s” in life, it opens the door to worry and anxiety. It creates a heaviness in your mind and heart. But when you dwell on His goodness and faithfulness, it opens the door to His supernatural peace and grace. It lifts your spirit and lightens your load.

Today, I want to remind you to stop and think about what you are thinking about. Don’t just let your mind wander off in any old direction. Be intentional about dwelling on the Father. Never forget that He is with you and for you. Never forget that He is good and His love never fails. Never forget His promise to prosper you and not to harm you.

As you set your thoughts and affections on Him, you set your day in the right direction. You’ll feel the cares of this world begin to disappear. You’ll see solutions you never even thought of before. You’ll experience His peace and joy and be empowered to embrace the blessing and victory He has in store for you!

“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” (Colossians 3:2, NIV)

The CON-ARTIST

 

What is a spiritual "CON-ARTIST"?

The arrogant CON-ARTIST likes to manipulate those who are predictable, stable and reliable. He will use God's Word and seem very spiritual. He does that because he knows that true Christians operate under a certain principle that he takes advantage of. For example, if they operate under the principle of 1 Corinthians 13:7 that love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things, then the CON-ARTIST takes advantage of the fact that the believer thinks like this. Or if the victim operates under the principle of 1 Peter 4:8... Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.

The CON-ARTIST knows that his sins will not be exposed by the victim if he cons the victim.

Honorable people are always much more vulnerable to duplicity than dishonorable people. You see it takes one to know one so the dishonorable person recognizes the dishonorable person. Honorable people, people with integrity, are much more vulnerable to duplicity than the dishonorable. Honorable people assume that everyone else has as much integrity as they do and therefore such honorable persons are easily deceived victims of both manipulation and duplicity.

The CON-ARTIST will say the right things, even have the vocabulary down and he uses truth to gain his evil ends, Philippians 1:15-18, "Certain ones, on the one hand, are proclaiming the Christ even from jealousy and strife or discord, but, certain ones, on the other hand, because of good motivation, the latter category out of the motivation of love, fully convinced that I am appointed for the defense of the good news; the former category from the motivation of divisive self-promotion proclaim Christ, not from pure motives, since they presume to arouse mental distress with regard to my imprisonment. What is my conclusion? Only that in every way, whether in false motivation or in true, Christ is being proclaimed; and in this I am happy, not only at this time, but I will continue being happy."

A good CON-ARTIST knows that it's always better to use truth to deceive than a lie because once they are caught in their lies, their con becomes weak. Therefore the con-artist always says to themselves "Use the truth as much as possible so that when you deceive people with the truth then they can't come back and say you're a liar!"
And all CON-ARTISTS are liars. A CON-ARTIST is a pathological liar.

The only reason a CON-ARTIST tells the truth is because you can deceive better with the truth than with a lie. The greatest deceivers always use the truth. Remember Satan is an "angel of light" and so are his ministers. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their deeds.

Every CON-ARTIST has a limit and when he goes over the limit he exposes himself. That's where you always can get the con-artist, if you're smart enough to listen to what they say!

The CON-ARTIST loves to gain favor by destroying the reputation of someone else. He loves to destroy the reputation of anyone that he knows is respected more and accepted more in the area he seeks to attain.

Forgive these people. Cut them off. Let God handle them. Vengeance is His. Protect yourself. Warn others. File a police report if you need to.

"This is a plain indication of God's righteous judgment so that you will be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which indeed you are suffering. For after all it is only just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you, and to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire,…" 2 Thess 1: 5-7

We live in a DEVASTATING generation of "Christians" who have a problem with "Christianity 101". Such as: Stop lying, don't party, don't have sex outside of marriage, don't read your horoscope or dabble in the occult, don't go to rated R movies, don't gamble, don't do drugs, don't look at porn, don't date an unbeliever, read your Bible, stop cussing, go to church, forgive others, stop going to bars/nightclubs, stop getting drunk/drinking, etc. These are the "basics" of Christianity. Why is everyone having a problem with the basics? When you truly get saved...the Holy Spirit WILL convict you. Are you truly saved??? #TRUTH

"For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a terrifying expectation of judgment and THE FURY OF A FIRE WHICH WILL CONSUME THE ADVERSARIES." Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who said, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY.” And again, “THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE.” It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Integrating any form of pagan spirituality into the Christian lifestyle is a form of evil and considered by God to be an abomination. Simply "re-labeling" or "re-defining" pagan spirituality and practices for Christians does not make it Christian or Biblical. Call it "centering prayer", "Christian yoga", "Christian mantras", "visualizing Jesus", "Eucharistic adoration", etc., it is simply pagan spirituality lightly sprayed with Christian terminology. People too often forget that one of Satan’s goals is to bring mysticism and occultism into the church in order to deceive people into thinking they are “communing with the Divine”, with “angels”, with “Ascended Masters”, with alleged “departed loved ones” (demons), and the like (Galatians 1:6-9; 2 Corinthians 11:13-15; 1 Samuel 15:23-24).

Don't FRET over the people and loved ones you have been praying for to get saved. Keep praying. Keep believing. But remember...cast your cares upon Him. His kingdom is not of this world. You may be distraught that someone you loved died without Jesus. Maybe you are afraid they are alive and will never get saved and make it into heaven. Remember that He is a God of justice and mercy. We agonize over this here on earth because we have our human nature. In heaven...the former things will be forgotten. He will make all things new. We will not be agonizing over the loss of our loved ones but praising Him. Let's put our eyes back on things above. Let's be Kingdom minded. We do not belong to this world's kingdom, but to God's Kingdom. People don't belong to us. They are in God's hands. He will do everything He can to get their attention. HE IS FAITHFUL AND TRUE. He ultimately knows who will choose Him. God is just:

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.   EPHESIANS 4:1 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors (shepherds) and teachers,

13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head --- Christ ---

JESUS CHRIST WHO IS OUR EXAMPLE, LIVE AND EMPOWERMENT OCCUPIED ALL THE FIVE FOLD MINISTRIES! HE WAS AN APOSTLE, PROPHET, EVANGELIST, SHEPHERD AND TEACHER. AND THERE IS NO REASON WHY ANY SPIRIT FILLED CHRISTIAN THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT CANNOT DO THE SAME TODAY FOR JESUS STATED:

John 14:12 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

CHRISTIANS, DUE TO FAULTY TEACHINGS, UNBELIEF, LACK OF FAITH, DOCTRINES OF DEMONS AND OTHER THINGS, LIMIT WHAT GOD CAN DO IN THEIR LIFE OR MINISTRY OR CIRCUMSTANCE, NOT GOD! HIS WORD IS UNCHANGING:

Romans 8:32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

2 Samuel 12:8 I gave you your master's house and your master's wives into your keeping, and gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if that had been too little, I also would have given you much more!

THE BIBLE TEACHES THAT AS BORN  AGAIN CHRISTIANS WE CAN HAVE THE SAME SPIRIT UPON US THAT WAS UPON JESUS, WE COULD BE STRONG IN THE LORD AND THE POWER OF HIS MIGHT, WE CAN DO THE SAME WORKS THAT JESUS DID AND THAT WE CAN HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST SO THAT WE CAN BE MORE THAN CONQUERORS IN ALL THINGS:
 
Isaiah 11:1 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
2  The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.
