WELL AND WHOLE

 Peace and Victory

Now his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying:  "Blessed is the Lord God of Israel,  For He has visited and redeemed His people, And has raised up a horn of salvation for us  In the house of His servant David,  As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets,  Who have been since the world began,  That we should be saved from our enemies  And from the hand of all who hate us,  To perform the mercy promised to our fathers And to remember His holy covenant,  The oath which He swore to our father Abraham:  To grant us that we,  Being delivered from the hand of our enemies,  Might serve Him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life. Luke 1:67-75

God’s word tells us that Apostle Paul exhorted of us of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:1-4) Yes, it’s God’s will that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence and serve Him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life..

Through His Word, we know what God's will is for us in every area of our lives, including our health. God reveals His will for us is to be well and whole, just as it is His desire that all might come to know Him. He wants His people to be well, in their spirits, in their hearts, and in their bodies. The blood that Jesus shed upon the cross provided for our salvation, which includes both our physical and spiritual health.  His death was the price that had to be paid in order for us to be set free from the bonds of sin and death, of sickness and disease.  With His resurrection came true life for all those who will come to Him.  Not just life-after-death, but the overcoming life that begins the very moment we invited Jesus into our heart. And as we plant the seed of God’s word in our heart and nourish it by spending time with God we receive a bountiful harvest of what we desire including health, wealth and prosperity.  God’s word is unchanging:

"Now the parable is this: The seed is the Word of God.  "Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.  "But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away.  "Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.  "But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience. Luke 8:11-15

We don’t look at any negative conditions that may surround us for they are a deception of the enemy to keep us from our inheritance including healing and prosperity. Rather we swing the sword of the Word of God against the enemy and look instead to the life-giving promises of God, boldly claiming them out loud and standing on them in faith. God’s word is unchanging:

"Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.  "Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him.  "But if you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.  "For My Angel will go before you and bring you in to the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites and the Hivites and the Jebusites; and I will cut them off.  "You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do according to their works; but you shall utterly overthrow them and completely break down their sacred pillars.  "So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you.  "No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.   "I will send My fear before you, I will cause confusion among all the people to whom you come, and will make all your enemies turn their backs to you. Exodus 23:20-27

Your sandals shall be iron and bronze; As your days, so shall your strength be.  "There is no one like the God of Jeshurun,  Who rides the heavens to help you,  And in His excellency on the clouds.  The eternal God is your refuge, And underneath are the everlasting arms;  He will thrust out the enemy from before you, And will say, 'Destroy!'  Then Israel shall dwell in safety, The fountain of Jacob alone,  In a land of grain and new wine;  His heavens shall also drop dew.  Happy are you, O Israel!  Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD,  The shield of your help  And the sword of your majesty!  Your enemies shall submit to you,  And you shall tread down their high places." Deuteronomy 33:26-29

It is God’s will that we be delivered from the hand of our enemies. It’s His will that we indeed obey His voice and do all that He speaks, and then He will be an enemy to our enemies and an adversary to our adversaries. It is His will that we serve the LORD our God, and He will bless our bread and our water. And He will take sickness away from our midst and put it on all those who hate us. God’s word is unchanging:

"And the LORD will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you. Deuteronomy 7:15

"You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.'  "But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire. "Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, "leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.  "Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison. "Assuredly, I say to you, you will by no means get out of there till you have paid the last penny. Matthew 5:21-26

God’s will for us is not judgments or prison but blessings and prosperity for God has expressed His will for us in His unchanging words:

"Listen to Me, you who follow after righteousness, You who seek the LORD:  Look to the rock from which you were hewn,  And to the hole of the pit from which you were dug.  Look to Abraham your father, And to Sarah who bore you; For I called him alone, And blessed him and increased him."   For the LORD will comfort Zion, He will comfort all her waste places;  He will make her wilderness like Eden,  And her desert like the garden of the LORD;  Joy and gladness will be found in it, Thanksgiving and the voice of melody. Isaiah 51:1-3

So Jesus answered and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel's,  "who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time-houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions-and in the age to come, eternal life. Mark 10:29-30

It’s not God’s fault if His people have not claimed and used their inheritance when they became sons of God but have chosen to live in poverty and desolation? It’s their fault for allowing the devil to steal from them the great, precious and wonderful promises that God has given them! God’s word is unchanging:

And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end,  that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.   For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself,  saying, "Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you."  And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. Hebrews 6:11-15
