BE STRONG

HOW TENDER IS GODS HEART TOWARD YOU

Ephesians 2:7 - that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

Have you ever blown things out of proportion and gotten angry with God when you were going through a trying time? This happened to Jesus disciples when a storm hit them hard. In their fear of drowning, they cried out to Jesus, who was getting some much-needed sleep in the boat, Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing? (Mark 4:38)

For accusing Him of not caring, you would think that they received a rebuke from Jesus. But it was the wind which received His rebuke, and a great calm followed. (Mark 4:39) Because of His tenderness toward His own, Jesus did not waste time taking offence. Instead, He wasted no time taking care of the problem that had caused His disciples so much anxiety and fear.

This also happened to two sisters, Martha and Mary, who did not hesitate to let Jesus know how they felt when He finally showed up days after their brother Lazarus had died. Both sisters made the same remark to Him: Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. (John 11:21, 32)

Both sisters had seen Jesus miracles of mercy and love. Now, in their grief, they focused on how He could have prevented their brothers death, but did not. They did not know His heart how tender it was toward them and how His help would never fail them, but would even extend to raising their dead brother. (John 11:4144)

Beloved, your heavenly Father sees you trying to stay afloat when you are in the midst of a storm. He sees you trying to provide for yourself and your family, and thinking, If I don’t take care of these things, no one else will! And He wants you to know how tender His heart is toward you, how He is not offended by all the bad things you have ever said of or to Him. He wants you to know how much He wants to and will help and bless you. So let go and experience afresh the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward you!

Victory is not dependent on the pressures without, but rather on the Holy Spirit within.

YOU WILL NEVER CHANGE YOUR LIFE UNTIL YOU CHANGE YOUR CHOICES.

If you want something in your life to change, then you'll have to change your choices and actions. That is because doing the same thing will never get you different results.

In other words, what you do -- the choices you make, the way you treat people, the attitudes you have -- all impact your life. If, by your actions, you're sowing bad seeds, then you'll reap a harvest of those things. 2 Corinthians 9:6 says, Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.

Therefore, if you want to reap abundant harvests in your life, start sowing abundant seeds. That may require changing your choices; but until you change your choices, you'll never change your life.

MOSAIC

We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works. —Ephesians 2:10

For 3 weeks every fall season, our city becomes an art gallery. Nearly 2,000 artists from around the world display their creations in galleries, museums, hotels, parks, city streets, parking lots, restaurants, churches, and even in the river.

Among my favorite entries are mosaics made from small pieces of colored glass. The winning entry in 2011 was a 9 x 13-foot stained-glass mosaic of the crucifixion by artist Mia Tavonatti. While viewing the artwork, I heard the artist discuss how many times she had cut herself while shaping the pieces of glass for her mosaic.

As I gazed at the beautiful rendition of what was a horrific event, I saw more than a representation of the crucifixion—I saw a picture of the church, the body of Christ. In each piece of glass I saw an individual believer, beautifully shaped by Christ to fit together into the whole (Eph. 2:16,21). In the artist’s story, I recognized the shedding of Jesus’ blood so that this unity could take place. And in the finished artwork, I saw the act of love required to complete the project despite pain and sacrifice.

We who believe in Christ are a work of art created by God to show the greatness of a Savior who makes something beautiful out of the broken pieces of our lives.

The church’s one foundation
Is Jesus Christ her Lord,
She is His new creation,
By water and the Word.

Christ gave everything to make something beautiful of His church.

HOW TO EXPERIENCE ETERNAL LIFE TODAY

John 17:3 "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."

In order to fully understand what eternal life is, it is helpful to understand what it is not. Eternal life is not living forever. Everyone lives forever in either heaven or hell. Also, eternal life is not living forever in the blessings of heaven as opposed to being tormented in hell.

John 3:36 and 5:24 show that eternal life is a present tense possession of the believer.

Here, Jesus defines eternal life as knowing God the Father and Jesus Christ.

As we have already discussed, the word "know" is speaking of intimacy instead of mere intellectual knowledge. Therefore, eternal life is having an intimate, personal relationship with God the Father and Jesus the Son.

According to John 3:16, this intimacy with God is what salvation is all about. Forgiveness of our sins is not the point of salvation: intimacy with the Father is. Of course, Jesus did die to purchase forgiveness for our sins because unforgiven sins block us from intimacy with God. Sin was an obstacle that stood between us and God. It had to be dealt with and it was. Anyone who views salvation as only forgiveness of their sins and stops there, is missing out on eternal life.

Salvation is intended to be the way to come back into harmony with God.

Instead, it is often presented as the way to escape the problems of this life and the judgment of hell later.

Most non-believers are so occupied with their "hell on earth" that they don't really think or care about their eternal future. They are fed up with religion and are looking for something that will fill the emptiness inside.

Only intimate relationship (eternal life) with our Father can do that.

 GRACE FOR YOUR DARKEST MOMENTS

And when the dew fell on the camp in the night, the manna fell on it. -Numbers 11:9

Look at today’s verse and notice that the manna fell on the camp of the Israelites during the night.

My friend, night speaks of the darkest moments in one’s life. This means that in your darkest moments, God is still supplying you His “manna” or grace. He has not abandoned you and left you to your own devices. No, He is still there with you, caring for you, watching over you and working things out for your good.

So beloved, rest in God’s love for you and let Him sort things out for you. Stop trying to solve the problem in your own strength and wisdom—let God be God to you. He is with you, for your success and will provide for your needs. His grace for you falls afresh every day. His mercies that are new every morning will also see you through the darkest nights!

Today, just see His grace upon you and all around you. Be conscious of it, thank Him for it, and see His grace do wonders for you!

THE POWER OF PRAYER

'Pray without ceasing.' 1 Thessalonians 5:17 NKJV

When the Bible says, ‘Pray without ceasing,’ that means pray every day, not just periodically or when you’re in trouble. ‘The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.’ (James 5:16 NKJV) The word ‘fervent’ means passionate, persistent and determined. It’s not the number of our prayers, how many they are; nor the rhetoric of our prayers, how eloquent they may be; nor the geometry of our prayers, how long they may be; nor the music of our prayers, how sweet our voice may be; nor the logic of our prayers, how argumentative they may be; nor the method of our prayers, how orderly they may be; nor even the theology of our prayers, how good the doctrine is, that God responds to. Fervency of spirit is what ‘avails much’. The most powerful thing you can do is pray! And when you join with a prayer partner, your potential is awesome. ‘If two of you agree on earth concerning anything that [you] ask, it will be done for them by My Father in Heaven.’ (Matthew 18:19 NKJV) It works like this: the less you pray, the less you want to pray; the more you pray, the more you want to pray. Nothing will motivate you to pray like answered prayer. But you can’t start with the answer; you’ve got to start with the prayer! Here’s a fact of life: we only keep doing what rewards us. So the key to building a great prayer life is to pray until you get answers. Think how deeply rooted doubt has actually become in our hearts when we’re surprised to find our prayers answered! So pray in faith and expect God to answer!

SOW

 Sow Your Seed?

Another parable He put forth to them, saying: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, "which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches." Matthew 13:31-32

"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."John 16:33

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57

Carl Giordano in his article “Sow Your Seed To Meet Your -- Greed!” has brought out very well the false teachings by many prominent ministries  about sowing a money seed to get victory  or see your need met when Jesus Christ won it all for us on Calvary and we don’t have to pay a penny or do anything but just believe and trust God!

"For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some  coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced  themselves through with many sorrows" ---1st Timothy 6:10

Do you remember the "good ol' days", when amongst Christians who knew their Bibles, the "Seed" used to be--The Word of God ?

Well, lo and behold, while nobody was looking, all of a sudden  somebody changed the "Seed" into---MONEY !

It seems in our modern day church, especially the "Charismatic"  version ( of which I am one, so to speak ), it does not matter so much what The Word of Almighty God says, as much as what the slick talking Evangelist / Bible Teacher says. In other words, the Holy Bible teaches that the Seed to be sown is---The Word of God.  But, if you have watched "Christian TV"  any time, in the last few years, you may have noticed that the slick talkers --who call themselves "Minister" "Reverend" "Doctor" "Bishop" "Evangelist" "Pastor" "Teacher"-- have now  changed the Seed  from the Word of God into ---Money !  And, boy oh boy, they want you to sow a whole lot of this new seed into their "ministry"  ( pockets ) .

It's kind of a neat little Magic Trick! You know, where the magician  turns his empty hand upside down, and then back again, and now there is a coin in it ! Abra-Cadabra ! Bingo !  "Now there is nothing in my hand, as you so plainly see....but, a little 'slight of hand' ( slick talking ) and now my hand is full of -- Money-- Your Money ! " And "God's People" keep on being ignorant enough to say---" That's neat ! Let's see that trick again, and again, and again "....

In the book of Exodus Pharaoh had a lot magicians in his court... and we have a whole lot of them in our churches, and on "Christian TV" . They say, so to speak,---"You thought these Bible verse meant this -- but I have had a 'new revelation' and Wallah!--now they mean something altogether different--and if you're smart, you will get in on the action ! "

Now, hopefully, I'm going to make this present message of mine  short. Basically, what I want to get across to you, the reader, is this---Beware!  Wolves still do dress up in sheep's clothing! You  may have heard the old saying--"If it waddles like a duck, quacks  like a duck, swims like a duck and flies like a duck--that's because --It's a DUCK! " I'd like to warn you, today, that if it looks like a False Teacher, acts like a False Teacher, lives like a False Teacher, talks like a False Teacher, and TWISTS SCRIPTURE  like a False Teacher --that's because--It's a FALSE TEACHER !

Study. I said Study. Study the Bible for yourself. Stop being lazy wanting somebody else (the Reverend, Doctor, Bishop, Pastor, Teacher etc. ) to do it for you.  The SCRIPTURE TWISTERS are counting on you being ignorant of the Bible; because, if you are not ignorant of the Bible, they will not be able to CON you.

Now, the worst part of all this is not so much that the seed is now money, whereas it used to be The Word of God--this is sure enough blasphemous enough--but, along with the "Sow your Seed" ( Money ) teaching is the grandiose, as well as blasphemous promises made to you--"That if you will just sow that One Thousand Dollar seed, my friend, then God will surely bring salvation your way and all your kids, grand kids, and your grandma will surely be swept into the kingdom ! Yes Sir ! My Brother and My Sister, go to that phone right now! Call i ! Don't Doubt! Get that seed sown into 'good ground' ( MY POCKET ) and God will save everybody you know... and don't know; and then, guess what, ---God will make you RICH! ".....  ( and then you can send in some BIGGER seeds )

Let's go to the BIBLE. What a novel idea. The BIBLE?  Well, ok...guess it can't hurt.

Now, when we open our Bibles, rather than turn on Christian TV,  we see that THE LORD JESUS CHRIST says that the SOWER   SOWS the SEED and that the SEED is---THE WORD OF GOD!

So, put your check book away. Get out a PACK OF GOSPEL TRACTS , instead, and start SOWING! Go over to your neighbor's house, hand them a TRACT, then open your BIBLE, and get to SOWING!  Go to a street corner, open your Bible and let er' rip! Throw those SEEDS all up and down the streets, on your job, at your neighbors! Throw some SEEDS at your friends! Chuck a bunch of them at your enemies! SEEDS ! SEEDS! SEEDS! Go and show "Johnny Apple Seed " that he ain't got nothin' on you! He threw his seed, everywhere, and grew trees. You go and throw your SEED, everywhere, and GROW DISCIPLES for JESUS!

Amen !!! If I have to shout it myself ! Glory !!!!!!!!

Now, let's calm down, Brother Carl, and actually quote some SCRIPTURE here. Ok ? Ok.

Jesus said---  " A sower went out to sow his seed "....Luke 8:5 ( later, during your study time, read the rest down to verse 11 )

In verse 11 of Luke 8 we see that Jesus says--- " Now the parable is this: The seed is the Word of God."

"But, brother Carl ?! Evangelists Slick Sam, Brother Twister the  Teacher, and Dr. Dumbbell, all said that the SEED is-- my LOVE  OFFERING --sent in to them...and that if I would just 'have enough faith to obey ( them ), then God would get my son and daughter off of drugs, and all, and everything else I ever wanted will be mine. "

..... " I sent my thousand dollar seed in...my kids are still on drugs...I'm still broke....but, maybe, it will take a LARGER SEED  ...ok...ok...ok...Where's my Check Book !? "

Do you want your loved ones saved? ASK JESUS to SAVE THEM. He doesn't NEED your SEED---It's only HIS SEED that will get the job done-- and His SEED is---FREE OF CHARGE!  So, don't send any "seeds" to Jesus...( or those who pretend to work for Him)...rather, ASK JESUS to send HIS SEED ( the Word of God ) to your loved ones.

Again, what a novel idea. Jesus IS the seed and HAS the seed?  Yes, a thousand times--Yes!

Do you or your loved ones need a healing in body. I've got GOOD NEWS! You can keep your money in the bank and your pocket. Don't send any SEEDS to anybody. Don't send for your lucky  handkerchief, or rabbit's foot ( it's almost become this bad ) but  rather just KEEP ON sending UP your PRAYERS to---THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!!!  HE IS WHAT HE IS!!! He said- "I AM". Brother ! Sister !---He ( JESUS ) is---the SAVIOR, the HEALER, the BAPTIZER with THE HOLY GHOST and FIRE, and THE SOON COMING KING of all kings, and LORD of all lords !

Now, in closing, let's be fair and balanced. ( "But, brother Carl all these CAPITAL LETTERS and EXCLAMATION POINTS--- !!!!!! ---Brother Carl, you don't write, nor act like one who is very--'BALANCED' ?! " )

Yeah, Yeah, I know. I get a little carried away...I even bounce up and down, sometimes, as I sit on my chair, while I type here at the computer.  But, still, we will now briefly mention something, in the name of balance.... so that, hopefully, we ( me ) will not become a Scripture Twister ourselves---

In God's Word ( Bible ), we DO find reference to money--a LOVE OFFERING--being SEED SOWN. But these are the very Scriptures that the SCRIPTURE TWISTERS--TWIST--in order to line their OWN POCKETS.

Because I'm tired of typing, I'll let you STUDY it out for yourself. In 2nd Corinthians chapters 8 & 9, we find the Apostle Paul lifting a Love Offering and he does refer to it as-- SEED SOWN.  See Chapter 9 verse 6 etc. etc..  But, Paul was NOT lifting this offering for himself nor to enrich himself . He WAS taking this offering from one particular church group to HELP OTHER POOR CHRISTIANS who were SUFFERING because of their faith in The Lord Jesus.

Now, again, let's be fair and balanced. Should we SUPPORT true  Ministers of The Gospel with our MONEY ???  Of course !!! That's also BIBLE. Study it out. "The laborer is worthy of his reward" etc. etc. etc.. All over the BIBLE we are taught to GIVE to help the TRUE man or woman of God.  But, a REAL man or woman of God will not suck you dry like some sort of foul leech! They will feed you ALL THE COUNSEL OF GOD, and they will NOT major on LOVE OFFERINGS, TITHES, etc. BUT, rather they will FEED YOU GOD'S WORD, AS HE GIVES IT TO THEM, AS THEY FAITHFULLY STUDY  HIS WORD AND SEEK HIS FACE IN PRAYER.

If these "preachers" and "teachers" would REPENT of their CON GAMES, and get on TV and in their pulpits, and PREACH and TEACH so as to get PRECIOUS SOULS delivered, saved, healed and ready for the soon coming KING---Then I believe ALL THE MONEY--that they  would ever NEED-- would come FLOWING IN like a MIGHTY STREAM.

Let's stop all the BEGGING. Let's stop giving to all the Beggars.

Let's stop PLAYING CON  GAMES. Let's stop being CONNED.

LOVE

WHAT LOVE IS

God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. —Romans 5:8

Years ago I asked a young man who was engaged to be married, “How do you know that you love her?” It was a loaded question, intended to help him look at his heart’s motives for the upcoming marriage. After several thoughtful moments, he responded, “I know I love her because I want to spend the rest of my life making her happy.”

We discussed what that meant—and the price tag attached to the selflessness of constantly seeking the best for the other person, rather than putting ourselves first. Real love has a lot to do with sacrifice.

That idea is in line with the wisdom of the Bible. In the Scriptures there are several Greek words for love but the highest form is agape love—love that is defined and driven by self-sacrifice. Nowhere is this more true than in the love our heavenly Father has shown us in Christ. We are deeply valued by Him. Paul stated, “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Rom. 5:8).

If sacrifice is the true measure of love, there could be no more precious gift than Jesus: “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son” (John 3:16NLT).

Amazing love!
How can it be
That Thou, my God,
Shouldst die for me?

The measure of love is what you are willing to give up for it

HE IS THE GOD OF YOUR VALLEYS TOO

1 Kings 20:23 - Then the servants of the king of Syria said to him, Their gods are gods of the hills. Therefore they were stronger than we; but if we fight against them in the plain, surely we will be stronger than they.

In 1 Kings 20, we find the Syrians being defeated by the Israelites. Then, some of the Syrian kings advisers gave the king what they thought was the reason for their defeat. They said that they had fought on the hills and lost because Israels God is the God of the hills. So if they were to fight the Israelites on the plains or in the valleys, they would win.

What stupid advice! They thought that the God of Israel only helped His people up in the hills and mountains, and not down in the valleys.

Now, mountains refer to our good times, and valleys, our bad times. Some people have this idea that God is the God of our good times, but He is not there when we are going through bad times. They think that He leaves us helpless in the valleys, especially when the troubles are of our own making.

My friend, I want you to know that our God is the God of the mountains, but He is also the God of the valleys!

God the Son laid aside His crown of glory, His royal majesty and came down for us, stepping into a human body as a baby. He came down to where we were for the sole purpose of dying on the cross for our sins, so that He could bring us up to what God the Father has for us at His right hand. Jesus came down to crown us with glory and honor, to clothe us with robes of righteousness and make us His bride, sharing everything that He has with us. That is the grace of God. He came down to our valley.

So whatever you are going through right now, know that God is right there in your valley with you. He is holding you in His arms and carrying you through the valley. Victory is already yours. Just as the Israelites were also victorious in the valley (1 Kings 20:2829), so will you be because the God of the valleys is right there with you!

THREE ALL-IMPORTANT QUESTIONS

'So be careful how you live... Make the most of every opportunity...' Ephesians 5:15-16 NLT

Following a plan is like using a GPS device (Global Positioning System). If it knows where you are, you tell it where you want to go, and it creates a personalised road map. The difference between a GPS and you is you have to create all your own turn–by–turn directions. Mark Twain said, ‘The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasks into small manageable tasks, and then starting the first one.’ To reach your destination you must ask yourself three questions:

(1) What’s my present position? It’s impossible to ignore the reality of where you are right now and still be successful. The former CEO of General Electric observed, ‘Strategic management is trying to understand where you will sit in tomorrow’s world, not where you hope to sit; it’s assessing where you want to be, and where you can be.’

(2) What’s my desired destination? Write down what your dream will look like when you’ve achieved it. Henry J. Kaiser, founder of Kaiser–Permanente health care system, said, ‘The evidence is overwhelming that you cannot begin to achieve your best unless you have some aim in life.’

(3)What are the in–between steps? Don’t expect them to be quick or easy. Creativity is messy. It’s far from an exact science. But unless you know where you want to go and identify the steps that will get you there, ten years from now you’ll still be where you are today. So the word for you today is: Make the most of every opportunity.’

OVERCOME WITH GOOD :

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. - Romans 12:21, NIV

The scripture says, “We overcome evil with good.” In other words, when somebody’s rude or inconsiderate, don’t sink down to their level. Don’t be rude and inconsiderate back to them. No, if you are going to rise higher, if you are going to overcome, you have to do just the opposite. You have to show kindness, grace and mercy. It isn’t always easy; in fact, it’s almost never easy. It takes a lot of humility to treat someone with respect who is disrespecting you. But do you know what happens when you walk in humility? God gives you His grace. He empowers you to walk in His goodness. Scripture plainly says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”

Today, walk humbly with God and overcome evil with good. Show mercy and sow mercy. Receive His grace, receive His power, and receive His strength to be everything He’s called you to be.

REJOICE IN THE LORD – ALWAYS

John 16:33 "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

The world experiences joy and happiness in direct proportion to their circumstances. Bad circumstances produce depression and sorrow, while good circumstances produce joy and peace. That's bondage, and does not have to be the case for a Christian. Our joy is not dependent on things, but rather on the person of Jesus Christ. He is our peace and joy.

The way we take advantage of this joy and peace in the midst of tribulation, is to have our minds and hearts stayed on things above and not on things of this earth. The invisible things of God are eternal while the visible problems on earth are only temporary. All the problems of this life grow very dim when we compare them to the glory of God that is ours through Jesus.

We can rejoice in the Lord always (Phil. 4:4) because rejoicing is an action, not a reaction to our environment. Joy is a gift from God that was given to us at salvation. It was placed within our born-again spirit and it doesn't fluctuate or diminish; it is constant. The Lord has put the joy inside us and we are to "work it out" by choosing to obey this command in scripture.

We are commanded to rejoice "IN THE LORD." Many people are not experiencing true joy because their joy is in their circumstances. That is, they are waiting to rejoice when things in their lives are going good, and that doesn't happen very often. We are suppose to "rejoice in the Lord always."

That means we are suppose to rejoice in who the Lord is and what He has done for us. He never changes (Heb. 13:8) and His mercies and compassions are new every morning (Lam. 3:22-23).

 THE SPIRIT OF SONSHIP

For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by Him we cry, “Abba, Father.” - Romans 8:15, NIV

The Spirit of sonship which we have received from God is the Spirit by which we cry, “Abba, Father.” Have you ever cried to God like He is your Daddy? Yes, He is El Shaddai. He is Elohim. But in the new covenant He is Daddy! The Holy Spirit put the Aramaic word “Abba” there, which means “Daddy” or “Papa” in English, and didn’t have it translated because He wants us to know that God is not a distant,
impersonal being, but a close and intimate Daddy! That is the Spirit of sonship.
My friend, when you pray, learn to say, “Dear Daddy God…” Forget the formalities and traditions of man. Just call Him “Daddy”, and sense His closeness to you. You can bring all your cares, worries and anxieties to Him, knowing that the all-powerful King of the universe is your Daddy!

At the cross, Jesus cried out, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” (Matthew 27:46). For the first time, He addressed His Father as “God.” He experienced distance—in fact, a cutting-off—from the Father because He was carrying all our sins upon Himself. Why? So that you and I can experience closeness and intimacy with the Father, and cry out “Daddy!” from our hearts.

A child who cries “Daddy!” belongs in his daddy’s embrace. So when we cry out, “Daddy God!” we take our place as His beloved children, and find our strong and loving Daddy rushing in to embrace, protect and deliver us!

TRUE CHRISTIANS DON'T LASH OUT AT OTHERS

Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

1 John 4:8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

When a Christian lashes out at others to hurt them they are not walking in love. They are walking in hurt and bitterness and need healing and deliverance. God's word tell us that the person who is lashing out has real serious problems and will not see the Lord but hell

Acts 8;20 But Peter said to him, "Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money!
21 You have neither part nor portion in this matter, for your heart is not right in the sight of God.
22 Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.
23 For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity."

Romans 3:12 They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one."
13 " Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit"; " The poison of asps is under their lips";
14 " Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness."
15 " Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16 Destruction and misery are in their ways;
17 And the way of peace they have not known."
18 " There is no fear of God before their eyes."

Ephesians 4:31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.

Hebrews 12:14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:
15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;
16 lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright.
17 For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears.

CLOTHED

CLOTHED WITH JESUS ROBE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

Leviticus 1:6 - And he shall skin the burnt offering and cut it into its pieces.

Do you know who first clothed man with coats of skin? It was God Almighty Himself, when He found Adam and Eve hiding behind the bushes because they were afraid of Him. They had become fearful and conscious that they had sinned against God. In their sin-consciousness, they realized that they were naked and that the glory of God, which had been their covering, was gone.

So God killed an animal to clothe Adam and Eve with coats of skin. (Genesis 3:21) An animal had to die and its bloodied skin became their covering. This speaks of the blood of Jesus that covers you when He became your burnt offering. The Lamb of God did not just take away your sins. He also gave you His righteousness.

Beloved, you are covered by Jesus blood. You are righteous by His blood. God has clothed you with the robe of righteousness, which was paid for by Jesus blood. I am not talking about a physical robe made of cloth. I am talking about the robe of righteousness that was on Jesus when He said to the storm, Peace, be still! and there came a perfect calm (Matthew 8:2327), when healing flowed from Him to the sick and when He raised Lazarus from the dead. (John 11:3844)

When you believe that you are righteous because of Jesus blood, you will see the effects of wearing His robe of righteousness. You will see miracles happening before your very eyes. You become a blessing magnet, a favor or grace magnet. It is not your own righteousness, but the righteousness of Jesus which you have put on, that is attracting all these blessings of God into your life.

My friend, have the consciousness of being clothed with Jesus robe of righteousness. Every day, come to God and say, Father, I thank You that Jesus is my burnt offering. He covers me from head to toe with His righteousness. What He is to You, I am. As He is now, so am I. I am in Him. And you will see the manifestations of the blessings of health, wholeness, protection and provision that the robe attracts!

Jesus said, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes." (Mark 9:23.) In many churches across the nation, good Christian people die prematurely because pastors teach their flocks that healing is not for today. Many years ago, I was one of those pastors. However, today I teach healing and physical deliverance from sickness and disease. My belief system changed because of the revelation of the Word of God.

We have a responsibility in these last days to walk in total redemption. That means we are to be full gospel people--we believe the whole Bible. We believe in life, healing, and prosperity and stand against death, sickness, and debt. Life and the blessing, death and the curse have been placed before us, but God gave us the answer in His Word. Choose life! (Deut. 30:19.)

 MUSIC AND MEGAPHONE

We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. —2 Corinthians 4:7

Christopher Locke buys old trumpets, trombones, and French horns and transforms them into acoustic amplifiers for iPhones and iPads. His creations are modeled on the trumpetlike speakers used in the first phonographs during the late 1800s. Music played through Christopher’s AnalogTelePhonographers has a “louder, cleaner, richer, deeper sound” than what is heard from the small speakers in the digital devices. Along with being interesting works of art, these salvaged brass instruments require no electrical power as they amplify the music people love to hear.

Paul’s words to the followers of Jesus in Corinth remind us today that in living for Christ and sharing Him with others, we are not the music but only a megaphone. “For we do not preach ourselves,” Paul wrote, “but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake” (2 Cor. 4:5). Our purpose is not to become the message, but to convey it through our lives and our lips. “We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us” (v.7).

If an old horn can amplify music, then perhaps our flawed lives can magnify the goodness of God. We’re the megaphone; the music and the power come from Him!
Thank You, Lord, that You can take our lives and use them in ways we never thought possible. Help us to be the instruments that convey the music of Your love.
Nothing is unusable in God’s hands.

LET GOD’S WORD LEAD & GUIDE YOU

Have you ever sat down to read the Bible and felt like you were trying to force something to happen? I have. I’ve opened my Bible and said, “God, I need a word from You today.” Then I close my eyes, twirl my finger around and land on a scripture, hoping it’s exactly what I need. But then it turns out to be something like “God reigned down fire from heaven.” And I say, “Not that word, God. I need another word!”

We’ve all been there, trying so hard to make a connection with God and sometimes ending up frustrated. But God doesn’t want His Word to make us feel pressure; He wants His Word to make us feel pleasure. He doesn’t want us to come to Him feeling stressed. He wants us to come to Him feeling blessed and knowing that His Word is making a difference in our lives beyond what we may feel in the moment.

God’s Word is more than an instruction manual. His Word is a love letter! When we read it, His love empowers us and deposits His strength in us. That’s because His Word is alive, and it will change your life! It’s a seed that, when planted in your heart, yields an abundant harvest of righteousness.

All scripture is God-breathed. When we open it to read, we have to know that God is breathing His life into us. He is refreshing our spirits and directing our paths. Think about this: John chapter one says that the Word became flesh and walked among us. When you open the Bible, let your prayer be, “Lord, let Your Word walk in me. Let Your Word come alive in me. Let it lead me and guide me in every area of this life.” Then realize that when you are finished reading and close the book, His power doesn’t stop working. Just like a seed in the ground continues to root and grow even when we can’t see it, God’s Word is growing in you even when you can’t see it. Faith is rising in you, and you are being transformed. Don’t ever feel intimidated by the Word of God. Don’t run from the Bible; run to the Bible and receive His love because God wants to do something great in you!

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12, NIV)

GOOD MEDICINE:

A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. - Proverbs 17:22, ESV

Throughout life, there will always be something that will try to take our joy. If it’s not a grumpy sales person, it’s a family member aggravating you, traffic is backed up, your flight is delayed, or your spouse is taking too long. Don’t go the next 20 years allowing the same people and the same circumstances to frustrate you. Change your approach. What’s upsetting you now doesn’t have to upset you anymore. You can choose to keep your cool and stay calm and steady. Remember, a relaxed attitude is going to lengthen your life. The next time you’re tempted to be upset, ask yourself, “Is this really worth giving up my joy over?”

If you’ll make this decision not to give away your joy and live each day happy, God promises you’ll be strong; you’ll have more peaceful relationships, and you’ll accomplish more. He says a joyful heart is good medicine! Hold on to your joy and let it heal your heart so you can experience the blessings He has in store for you!

 GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES

It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed that God would keep His promise. - Hebrews 11:11, NLT

How do you continue to believe God for the breakthrough that you need when you don’t feel that you have the faith to go on?

My friend, the answer lies in today’s scripture. Sarah was “barren and was too old” to have a child, but “by faith” she received strength to conceive and gave birth to Isaac. Her faith was involved. How did Sarah exercise her faith to receive her miracle? She simply “believed that God would keep His promise.” In other words, she banked on the faithfulness of God. Her eyes were not on her faith or lack of it, nor were they on how tough her natural circumstances were.

When you feel that your faith has run out, just rest in how God is always faithful! Count on His faithfulness, not your faithfulness. Lean hard on the fact that He remains faithful even when you’re wavering in faith (2 Timothy2:13).

Beloved, once God gives you a promise from His Word, it’s not for you to struggle and conjure up faith to make His promise come to pass. You cannot make the miracle happen—only God can. You are to rest in Him who has promised, rest in His faithfulness, and you will experience your miracle!

OVERCOME TRIBULATION ...

John 16:33 "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

Jesus said we would have tribulation. He did not say that He was the one bringing the tribulation or what the tribulation would be, but He said it would come. Then He made the amazing statement that in the midst of tribulation we were to be of good cheer.

Tribulations exist because there is a battle between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of the devil. When we operate in faith, God is able to grant us such victory that we are actually better off because of the battle. It's just like when a army goes to war. If they win, they gain spoils. But if they embrace their enemy because of the spoils they were expecting to receive, they will be killed instead of blessed. First, you have to fight and win the war and then, and only then, will the spoils be available. The enemy doesn't come to be a blessing, but a blessing can be obtained from the enemy if we are victorious.

Likewise, tribulations and adversities are not blessings from God. They are attacks from the enemy intended to steal the Word of God out of our lives. No man should say that the temptation came from God, for God is not the one who tempts any man (Jas. 1:13).

If problems were what perfected us, then most Christians would have been perfected long ago and those who experienced the greatest problems would be the greatest Christians. However, that's not the way it is. God's Word is given to us to make us perfect, and thoroughly furnished unto every good work (2 Tim. 3:17). God's Word does not need to be supplemented with problems to accomplish its work.

SHADOWED

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? —Psalm 27:1

Someone was shadowing me. In a darkened hallway, I turned the corner to go up a flight of stairs and was alarmed by what I saw, stopping dead in my tracks. It happened again a few days later. I came around the back of a favorite coffee shop and saw the large shape of a person coming at me. Both incidents ended with a smile, however. I’d been frightened by my own shadow!

The prophet Jeremiah talked about the difference between real and imagined fears. A group of his Jewish countrymen asked him to find out whether the Lord wanted them to stay in Jerusalem or return to Egypt for safety because they feared the king of Babylon (Jer. 42:1-3). Jeremiah told them that if they stayed and trusted God, they didn’t need to be afraid (vv.10-12). But if they returned to Egypt, the king of Babylon would find them (vv.15-16).

In a world of real dangers, God had given Israel reason to trust Him in Jerusalem. He had already rescued them from Egypt. Centuries later, the long-awaited Messiah died for us to deliver us from our own sin and fear of death. May our Almighty God show us today how to live in the security of His shadow, rather than in shadowy fears of our own making.

Trust when your skies are darkening,
Trust when your light grows dim,
Trust when the shadows gather,
Trust and look up to Him.

Under the protecting shadow of God’s wing, the little shadows of life lose their terror.
