THE OLD MAN IS GONE
John 8:44 "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do: he was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."

All of us were born in sin and were therefore "by nature" the children of the devil. That's the reason we sinned. Our sins don't corrupt our nature, but our corrupt nature makes us sin. That's why we must be "born again" and become new creatures (or a new creation) in Christ.

The scriptures teach that everyone was born with a sin nature or old man. For the Christian, the old man is dead. We do not have a nature that is driving us to sin. If that it is the case, then why do we seem so bound to sin even after we experience the new birth? The reason is that our old man left behind what Romans 6:6 calls a body. Just as a person's spirit and soul leave behind a physical body at death, so our old man left behind habits and strongholds in our thoughts and emotions. The reason a Christian tends to sin is because of an unrenewed mind, not because of a sin nature.

Our old man ruled our thinking before we were born again. He taught us such things as selfishness, hatred, and fear and he placed within us the desire for sin. The old man is now gone, but these negative parts of his body remain. Until renewed, our minds continue to lead us on the course that our old man charted.

To experience the resurrection life of Jesus, we have to know that our old man is dead. Then, through the renewing of our minds, we destroy the body that the old man left behind. The end result is that we will not serve sin any longer.

Believe That God Is Your Rewarder

    But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.  Hebrews 11:6

Most people quote only the first part of Hebrews 11:6 — “without faith it is impossible to please Him”. Yet, it goes on to say, “for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”. In other words, the faith that pleases God is the kind of faith that believes that God exists and that He is a rewarder.

The Bible also says that “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”. (Hebrews 11:1) So even in times of difficulty, when we don’t see good things happening in our circumstances, we are to believe that God will turn things around and reward us.

God turned things around for Ruth, the Moabite widow, when she believed the Lord and made Him her God. (Ruth 1:16) The Bible tells us that she was given a “full reward” by the Lord when she came under His wings for refuge. (Ruth 2:12) Not only did He give her protection, He also gave her abundant provision, exceeding favor and a glorious redemption. (Ruth 2:9–17, 3:11, 4:10–13)

When Rahab, the harlot of Jericho, heard reports of how the Lord had opened up the Red Sea for the children of Israel, she believed that “He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath”. (Joshua 2:9–11) Though Rahab had not personally witnessed the miracles, she believed God and hid the Jewish spies from their pursuers. (Joshua 2:4–6) Because of her faith, she not only did not perish with those who did not believe (Joshua 6:25, Hebrews 11:31), but she was also given a place in the “hall of faith” in Hebrews 11.

God was so pleased with the faith of these two Gentile women that He not only blessed them in their lifetimes, but He also put them into the genealogy of His Son Jesus Christ, the great Redeemer and rewarder.

Beloved, when you come to the Lord with your needs, believe that He is God, and that He is a rewarder. God has pleasure in this kind of faith. He wants to be the rewarder of your faith in Him!

Thought For The Day
The faith that pleases God is the kind of faith that believes God exists and that He is a rewarder.

CLAIM YOUR HEALING

Our God is a healer. He is Jehovah Rapha the God who heals. No matter what sickness you have he has the power to heal you. Isaiah 53:5 says, “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.” This means God has already healed you 2011 years back. All your curses and sickness Jesus took on the cross and you are made whole. Just claim it is yours. Your sickness may seem like a mountain. Jesus said in Matthew 21:21-22 So Jesus answered and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' it will be done And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." It just takes faith of a mustard seed friend. You are the temple of the Holy Spirit. No sickness can stay in you. The Holy Spirit is not just concerned about your spiritual needs but also concerned about your physical needs. You have received the spirit that gives life to your mortal body. Romans 8:13 declares. The Holy Spirit will rejuvenate each cell of your body and restore total health back to you. You are called to live in total health. 1John 3:2 says: “Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.” This shows God wants you in total health even as you grow spiritually. Confess the word daily that you are healed by his stripes. Sickness must go from your body because you are the temple of the Holy Sprit. This is my prayer to you. I want to join in agreement with you no matter what sicknesses you have believe God is the healer. Even as you read this prayer I believe the power of God is going to touch you and you will be delivered in Jesus name.

Father in the name of Jesus I come before your throne of grace. I pray for my dear brothers and sisters who are in ill health. Your word say by your stripes we are healed. Right now I speak healing to their bodies. Lord restore complete health back to them. Sickness you have no authority over their body. Come out in Jesus name. They are the children of the Most High God. The name of Jesus is higher than any other name. Lord I speak healing to their bones and each part of their body is rejuvenated in Jesus name. Arthritis, cancer, skin ailments go in Jesus name. Lord I speak total deliverance. Those who are suffering from migraine you are healed in Jesus name. Diabetes gone in the name of Jesus. Lord whatever sicknesses they have Lord restore complete health. In Jesus name Amen.

WHEN GOD OPENS THE FLOODGATES :

And He led them on safely, so that they did not fear; but the sea overwhelmed their enemies. - Psalm 78:53, NKJV

Nothing can stop the force of mighty rushing water. Three or four feet of water can pick up a car that weighs thousands of pounds and move it all around. You’ve probably seen news reports where whole houses are being swept away during a huge flood or cities in a tidal wave.

In the same way, you may have obstacles that look insurmountable; dreams that look unattainable, but let me encourage you: when God releases a flood of His power, nothing will be able to stop you. That sickness may look big, but when God releases a flood of healing, it doesn’t stand a chance. Your opposition may be stronger, better financed and better equipped; but when God opens up the floodgates, they’ll be no match for you.

You may not have the connections or resources you need, but when God releases a flood of favor, people will come out of the woodwork to help you out. Good breaks, opportunity, the right people will search you out. You need to get ready not for a trickle, not a stream, not a river, but a flood of God’s favor, a tidal wave of God’s goodness, a tsunami of His increase is coming your way!

THE WONDERFUL COUNSELOR :

"…"For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder, and He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace" - (Isaiah 9:6)

Do you need wisdom or direction in your life today? The scripture tells us that Jesus is our Counselor. And He's not just any kind of Counselor, He's our Wonderful Counselor. When something is wonderful, it is unusually good, marvelous, or astonishing. Think about that for a moment. God is a marvelous, astonishing Counselor—the very best you could ever have!

Today, no matter what you may be facing, no matter what kind of decisions you have to make, consider God. Ask Him to direct your steps and confirm His perfect plan. Remember, He is the best Counselor there is. Let Him direct and guide your path. As you seek Him and put Him first, He promises to lead you in the path of blessing in every area of your life

THE HERITAGE OF THE BELIEVER :

"No weapon formed against you shall prosper…" - (Isaiah 54:17, NKJ)

As a believer in Jesus, you have certain privileges because you belong to Christ. When you chose Him, God put a blood line around you that the enemy cannot cross. As long as you're keeping Him first place, you have a hedge of protection, a hedge of favor, a hedge of mercy surrounding you like a shield. When difficulties come, God says that because you're His child, because you honor Him, even though that problem has formed, in the end it is not going to prosper. When it's all said and done, it's not going to harm you. God is going to turn it around and use it to your advantage. That's your heritage as a believer!

Notice it doesn't say we'll never have problems. No, life is full of difficulties. The promise God is making to us is that when things do come against us, because you're in covenant relationship with Him, you can stay in peace knowing that it is not going to prosper. He has already paved the way for you to live in victory in every area of your life!

REMIND YOURSELF OF HIS PROMISES :

"Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful" - (Joshua 1:8, NIV)

When things don't go the way you planned or something unexpected happens, do you go around complaining, expecting the worst? Or, do you go to God's Word and remind yourself of His promises?

The Bible says that faith comes by hearing the Word of God. You have to have faith in order to activate God's promises. When difficulties come and you're tempted to get upset, remind yourself, "This is not going to prosper against me. They may be talking about me. It may look bad. But I know God is my Vindicator. He'll take care of me. I know God has me in the palm of His hand."

When you remind yourself of His promises, you don't have to get worried. You know God is still on the throne. You know that problem didn't come to stay, it came to pass. So today, remind yourself of His promises and feed your faith so that you can move forward in the victory He has prepared for you!

REDEEMED FROM EVERY TYPE OF SICKNESS :

Galatians 3:13 - Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),

The One who cleansed lepers, opened blind eyes and made the lame to walk took your sins, sicknesses and every curse when He hung on Calvary’s tree. The curses that were meant for you because of your sins fell on Him instead. He was cursed in your place to redeem you from every curse that comes as a result of breaking God’s laws.

What are these curses? They are listed in Deuteronomy 28. It is a long and detailed list. Don’t get frightened when you read the curses, but rejoice because Christ has redeemed you from every single one of them, including those curses of sicknesses!

Are you stricken with tuberculosis, fever or inflammation? (Deuteronomy 28:22) Christ has redeemed you from every one of these conditions!

Do you have painful boils, tumors or an itch which doctors say cannot be healed? (Deuteronomy 28:27) Christ has redeemed you from every one of these conditions!

Perhaps yours is a serious and prolonged sickness. (Deuteronomy 28:59) It doesn’t matter. Christ has redeemed you from every prolonged sickness!

“Well, Pastor, you have covered tuberculosis, fever, itch…but what about my disease? It is not covered in Deuteronomy 28. Did Jesus forget my disease?”

No, His work is perfect! Look at Deuteronomy 28:61: “Also every sickness and every plague, which is not written in this Book of the Law, will the Lord bring upon you until you are destroyed.” That covers everything. So if Christ has redeemed you from this curse, then He has redeemed you from every type of sickness! I don’t care what new type of sickness the world discovers because Christ has redeemed us from every type of sickness!

Now, if you have a particular sickness, say, “This (name the sickness) is part of the curse of the law. But Galatians 3:13 says that Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. Therefore, I have been redeemed from (name the sickness)!” Believe and confess that every day, and as surely as Jesus took every curse of sickness, your healing will break forth!

PRAYER FOR THE DAY :

“Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.” (Revelation 19:7)

Dear Heavenly Father, I praise You. I honor You. This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. I see Your holy face in every sunrise, I feel Your presence at the glory of this bright day. The light of the Lord brightens up the world and awakens all souls to sing hymns of praise on this beautiful sunny day. I rejoice in the Lord for I am saved by the precious blood of Jesus. I hear the sweet voice from the Cross; calling me to get ready for the time is near. The angels of the Lord are busy at the preparation for the magnificent wedding feast.
