The Blind Don’t See

The Blind Don’t See

Dishonest scales are an abomination to the LORD, But a just weight is His delight. When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom. The integrity of the upright will guide them, But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them.  Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, But righteousness delivers from death.  The righteousness of the blameless will direct his way aright,  But the wicked will fall by his own wickedness. The righteousness of the upright will deliver them,  But the unfaithful will be caught by their lust. Proverbs 11:1-6

For the humble righteous the truths of the Word of God are plain to see including the fact that”The righteous is delivered from trouble, and it comes to the wicked instead” (Proverbs 11:8). But the proud wicked ones are blind and they cannot see that “Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.” Many Christians blame things on the devil but God’s word tells us the unfaithful will be caught by their lust. The blind ones don’t see that those who are of a perverse heart are an abomination to the LORD, but the blameless in their ways are His delight. Though they join forces, the wicked will not go unpunished; but the posterity of the righteous will be delivered (Proverbs 11:20-21). They don’t see that”He who trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like foliage” (Proverbs 11:28). They don’t see that “If the righteous will be recompensed on the earth, how much more the ungodly and the sinner (Proverbs 11:31). It’s amazing how much wrong and weird doctrine and theology is taught and spread by so called Christians when a simple perusal of the Word of God will reveal the truth on the matter including the fact that God judges and rewards people not only in the here after but in the now, in the current time of life. God’s word is unchanging:

'Cursed is the one who perverts the justice due the stranger, the fatherless, and widow.' And all the people shall say, 'Amen!' Deuteronomy 27:19

'Cursed is the one who attacks his neighbor secretly.' And all the people shall say, 'Amen!' Deuteronomy 27:24

Better is the one who is slighted but has a servant, Than he who honors himself but lacks bread. Proverbs 12:9

The bible has much to say about money, wealth and riches but it doesn’t teach that money is evil but rather that the love of money is the root of all evil and being greedy for money is wrong. Nevertheless money answers all things! Without it, we are defenceless on earth and cannot do much without it. That is why God has designed wealth and riches for His people, so He can establish them in dominion! We are not just heaven-minded and wandering around the earth, but we are covenant people! We have rulership of the earth and eternity to enjoy! God has redeemed us unto God as priests and kings, and we shall reign on the earth (Revelation 5:10).  We will reign here first! Our redemption is worth reigning here with. We are to reign here first, before we go to heaven!

Wealth comes from God who is gracious, full of compassion and rigtheous and He gives it to those who are obedient to Him including those who have learnt to give as He moves on them to give. When God’s obedient ones give God gives them from heaven the Spirit of wisdom and power. Wisdom guides their  feet to profiting and power enables them to make it through. When  they remain faithful in giving, the windows of heaven keep pouring out wisdom and might to envelope them  for great exploits on the earth. We see this in the lives of obedient people in the bible.  The widow of Zarephath gave, the rain of God fell, causing the power of God to go into operation, and the oil in her cruse never finished!  Provision is guaranteed by the operation of that power, and abundance is made possible by the operation of the spirit of wisdom.  Isaac planted during famine in the land of the Philistines and in that year, God gave him a supernatural harvest. What made the difference between Isaac's planting and that of the Philistines was wisdom.  We alone are winner or loses depending on our obedience to  God and our giving.

"While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease." Genesis 8:22

He also opens their ear to instruction, And commands that they turn from iniquity. If they obey and serve Him, They shall spend their days in prosperity, And their years in pleasures. But if they do not obey,  They shall perish by the sword, And they shall die without knowledge. Job 36:10-12,

In order for any man to expect a harvest  he must first plant a seed. Thus, the power of abundance comes only by the act of planting the seed. When the seed  goes into the earth, God sends rain, which brings about the harvest.   We cannot produce rain, but we can plant the seed and God sends the rain that brings the harvest.  If the rain comes and there is no seed in the ground there will be no harvest! While we remain on this earth, every harvest will bring forth after its kind of seed. Seed time must always precede harvest. Hence  God gave His Son, in order to reap the harvest of more sons. If He did not plant Jesus, He would reap the harvest of men.   Yes, only givers can expect a harvest in due season. Yes there is a  time lapse between the period of planting and the period of harvest. There fore there  is need for the sower to wait patiently. But God is a covenant-keeping God, He will not fail. At the appointed time, the harvest must surely come.  God’s trusting ones can stand on the Word of God, for it cannot be destroyed, not even by the strongest forces of hell put together. God’s word is unchanging:

"Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.  "And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God:  "Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. "Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. "Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.  "Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. Deuteronomy 28:1-6

Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.  "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow;  Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient,  You shall eat the good of the land;  But if you refuse and rebel, You shall be devoured by the sword";  For the mouth of the LORD has spoken. Isaiah 1:17-20

Many of God’s people are financially poor because because they have not learned to do good; seek justice, rebuke the oppressor; defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.  They were not obedient to God’s word and didn’t eat the goid of the land. They didn’t obey and serve God and didn’t spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.  You cannot ignore God’s word and expect to be blessed by God.  Wealth  comes from God be it a direct product of a working idea or gifts given by others.  And it is a fact that many people have missed many great ideas in life, because they won't give tithes or God is not first in their life and attitudes instead of material possessions. Yet, the man God blesses and prospers  is the man that fears Him and receives His Word with such attitude of joy, a man who obeys Him cheerfully and joyfully and who enjoys His Word as though he were enjoying a very good meal.

It is also a fact that giving is the key to receiving heaven's increments. Without it God has no access to us, because His law states that there can be no harvest without first planting a seed. However, no giving can be acceptable without a correct attitude.  Not every giver ends up being prosperous. Indeed, some tithers, pledgers and givers  die in penury.  But those who seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness are the real winners and shall have hundredfold return now in this time, and in the world to come, life everlasting for giving for God's sake and for His kingdom.

The other important point is that we don’t get rich in the kingdom of God through sweat or our own strength.  God’s word is unchanging:

No king is saved by the multitude of an army; A mighty man is not delivered by great strength. A horse is a vain hope for safety; Neither shall it deliver any by its great strength. Psalm 33:16-17

Do not overwork to be rich; Because of your own understanding, cease!  Will you set your eyes on that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings;  They fly away like an eagle toward heaven. Proverbs 23:4-5

It is not our strength that brings us wealth, but it is the Lord that gives us power to get it. No king is saved by the multitude of an army. By strength shall no man prevail. It is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy to those who seek first His kingdom and  give for His name's sake! God blesses the obedient ones, not the disobedient ones. His word is unchanging:

"Now acquaint yourself with Him, and be at peace; Thereby good will come to you. Receive, please, instruction from His mouth, And lay up His words in your heart. If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up; You will remove iniquity far from your tents. Then you will lay your gold in the dust, And the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks.  Yes, the Almighty will be your gold And your precious silver; For then you will have your delight in the Almighty, And lift up your face to God. You will make your prayer to Him, He will hear you, And you will pay your vows. You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways. Job 22:21-28

There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.  Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.  For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. Hebrews 4:9-13
