POWER

The Power Belongs to God
The devil uses any inroads he can find to infiltrate our life, but in the spiritual battle against him, we are the ones with the authority. There is no reason to fear him. Fear is the exact opposite of faith, and we must remember that just as fear brings to pass evil things, faith brings to pass the good things God has planned for us. Faith apprehends those things made available to us through the blood of Jesus. We are the establishing witness who can choose what will be manifested in our life.

Tapping into God’s strength and peace gives us access to His power.
We must be strong in God and in the power of His might. We do that by putting on all of His armor (Ephesians 6:10-12).
We cannot trust in our own strength. The power belongs to God, and we make use of it.
God has supplied us with all the power we need, but we must flip the switch ourselves. This is called using our spiritual authority.
Spending time in the Word is the act of donning our spiritual armor.
Everything bad that happens to us is a result of a spiritual influence.
God’s thoughts and plans for us are of peace and not evil, to give us a bright future (Jeremiah 29:11, AMPC).
He has plans for good, to give us hope in our final outcome.
God wants to give us peace (Romans 15:33).
The God of peace will bruise the devil under our feet, and Jesus will bring us grace (Romans 16:20).
God created us in His image (Genesis 1:27).
Because He is the God of peace, His will is for us to be at peace.
The fruits of the Spirit and the fruits of the flesh are at opposite ends of the spectrum.
Peace is one of the fruits of the Spirit. Other fruits include love, joy, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, and faith (Galatians 5:22).
Avoid rioting, drunkenness, strife, and envy. Make no provision for the flesh, but put on Jesus Christ (Romans 13:13, 14).
We should not let the enemy rob us of the fruit of the Spirit by replacing it with the fruit of the flesh.
The works of the flesh include adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, inconsistency, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, and heresies (Galatians 5:19, 20).
Strife is a work of the flesh.
Do nothing through strife. Our mindset should esteem others, putting them before us (Philippians 2:3).
Envy and strife usher in confusion and every evil work (James 3:16).
We are people of peace, and we have dominion over strife.
What we contemplate and meditate on is eventually confessed verbally, for good or bad.
We must set nothing wicked before our eyes, and we must despise the work of those who turn aside from the Word of God (Psalm 101:3).
Setting wicked things before our eyes can include meditating on evil things and speaking evil to others.
In the Old Testament, those who walked in faith testified that they were seeking a better country. If they had known what country they had left, they might have had the chance to return (Hebrews 11:14, 15).
We cannot be tempted by anything we do not think about. What we consider the most is the thing we will be tempted to do.
Do not give in to the devil (Ephesians 4:27).
When we give in to negative emotions, we give in to him.
Do not embrace anxious thoughts (Matthew 6:31).
Those thoughts will come, but we do not have to reach out and embrace them by speaking them.
Spiritually, our stomach will be filled by the fruit of our speech. Life and death are in the power of the tongue, which can bring about either (Proverbs 18:20, 21).
