REJOICE

"PUT TO DEATH" AND "PUT ON"

In the Christian life there are things which God will not do for you but you will have to do with His help yourself! Things such as putting to death fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness.Putting on the new man and whole armor of God. And Using your faith to stand! God's word is unchanging:

Romans 8:13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

Colossians 3:5 Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6    Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7    in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. 8    But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. 9    Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10    and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11    where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.

Romans 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13    Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14    But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

Ephesians 4:17    This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18    having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19    who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. 20    But you have not so learned Christ, 21    if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22    that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23    and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24    and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.12    For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13    Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14    Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15    and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16    above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17    And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18    praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints ---

Acts 8:35    Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him. 36    Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, "See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?" 37 Then Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."

Acts 27:25 Therefore take heart, men, for I believe God that it will be just as it was told me
