THE GREAT EXCHANGE
JESUS TOOK YOUR PLACE SO THAT YOU CAN TAKE HIS ...
Matthew 27:46 - And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
Do you know that it was at the cross that Jesus addressed His Father as “God” for the first time? He had always addressed His Father as “Father”. But at Calvary’s tree, He addressed His Father as “God”.
Jesus lost that Father-Son relationship when He was representing you and carrying your sins at the cross so that today, you can call God “Abba! Father!” (Romans 8:15) and have a loving father-son relationship with God forever. Jesus was forsaken by God and His world became very dark on that lonely hill so that in your darkest hour, God will always say to you, “I will never leave you nor forsake you!” (Hebrews 13:5)
At the time when Jesus needed God most, God turned His back on Him. God had to turn His back on His Son because His eyes are too holy to behold all the sin that was in His Son’s body. And because God turned His back on Jesus, He will never turn His back on you. Instead, you will see God’s face of favor shining on you all the time!
Jesus also took your place of no protection at the cross. For the first time, He gave up divine protection so that you can have it every day of your life! And because He became sin, He took your curse at the cross so that today, as you take His gift of righteousness, you receive only blessings from God.
Jesus received the full brunt of God’s wrath in His body once and for all when He carried your sins. All of God’s anger and condemnation fell on Him, consuming all your sins until God’s wrath was exhausted.
Today, God is not angry with you. The body of Jesus absorbed everything—your sins, curses, and God’s anger and condemnation. So live life expecting to see not the judgment, but the goodness and blessings of God!

“Thus saith the Lord, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages” (Isaiah 49:8).
God promises to establish His people and fulfill His covenant with us.
2015 is the year of GREATER glory. It means God’s going to unleash a greater measure of healing, favor, peace, provision, wisdom and anointing in your life this year. Your part is only to believe. He who is faithful to His Word will bring His promises to pass.
THINK BIG :

THE WORD FOR TODAY : TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

A woman went shopping one day and came home with a very expensive dress. Her budget–conscious husband was very upset and demanded to know what on earth possessed her. ‘The devil made me do it,’ she replied sweetly. He asked, ‘Well, why didn’t you say, “Get thee behind me, Satan?”’ ‘I did,’ she replied. ‘But he said it looked great from the back as well—so I had to buy it!’ Satan is an expert at distorting the truth by getting us to blame circumstances and other people for our mistakes; that way we never have to take responsibility. We simply need to take responsibility for our own problems and not blame them on our parents, upbringing, government or peers. Florence Nightingale, hero–nurse of the Crimean War, said, ‘I attribute my success to one thing: I never gave or took an excuse.’ When a winner messes up, they admit they were wrong and ask for forgiveness. When a loser makes a mistake, they immediately look for somebody or something to blame. The Bible says, ‘Don’t try to disclaim responsibility by saying you didn’t know… God…knows you knew! And He will reward…according to [your] deeds.’ David constantly prayed about his shortcomings, and his honesty helped make him ‘a man after [God’s] own heart.’ (1 Samuel 13:14 KJV) Instead of denying and defending your mistakes, take responsibility, learn from them and move on. That’s how you grow!
NEVER TOO MATURE TO PURSUE YOUR DREAMS
How precious is Your steadfast love, O God! The children of men take refuge and put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. - Psalm 36:7, AMP
Divorced. Mature. Displaced. Most people would have been discouraged by these official terms to describe their status in society, but not a precious lady who wrote to me sharing her testimony. She didn’t let how others saw her stop her from pursuing her dreams—she applied for a university education in her latter years. What caused her to rise above those voices of defeat? What caused her to be success-minded?
She shared with me that through reading my devotionals on God’s grace and Jesus’ finished work, she became infused with faith and boldness to pursue her dreams no matter what limits others put on her. Instead of seeing herself divorced, old and displaced, she said, “I see myself as God says I am—His beloved. Because I am His beloved, I’m trusting Abba for abundant provision.” She saw Almighty God backing up her dreams and giving her a great future despite her age.
Beloved, immerse yourself in the truth of God’s unmerited favor toward you today. Be conscious every day that you are His beloved—and pursue your dreams with boldness and hope!
KNOWING WHO WE ARE …
Matthew 4:3, "And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread."
Two of Satan's three temptations began with the words, "If you be the Son of God."
Satan is very subtle in his temptations. It may have looked like he was trying to get Jesus to perform a miracle, but he was actually trying to make Jesus waiver in His faith of who He was. He tried to get Jesus to draw on the supernatural power of God to confirm it to the devil and Himself.
Unlike Jesus, we sometimes fall for this trick of the devil. We may say that we are arguing for some truth of the gospel, but many times we are hoping to convince ourselves. Someone who really knows who they are and what they believe, doesn't have to prove anything to anyone.
Isaiah 30:15 says, "For thus saith the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel; In returning and rest shall ye be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength..." Let the Lord build your confidence in who you are in Christ.
DON’T LOOK TO YOUR FAITH, LOOK TO JESUS
Hebrews 12:2 - looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith...
If you are sick, you must know that you are already healed because of the finished work of Christ. Don’t ask, “Do I have enough faith to be healed? Do I have the right kind of faith to be healed? What if I am lacking in faith?” You are focusing on yourself and your faith, instead of Christ and His finished work.
You should be asking, “Did Jesus take away this sickness? If He did, then He must have done a perfect work.” In other words, fix your eyes on Jesus and His perfect work.
AB Simpson, who lived in the 19th century, wrote an article entitled Himself. In it, he mentioned his exhausted nervous system, and broken-down heart which could have proved fatal any time. So he sought the Lord for healing. God showed him Matthew 8:17, which says that Jesus “Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses”.
AB Simpson said that though he believed that Jesus had borne away his sicknesses, he saw many hindrances which stood between him and his healing. And they all boiled down to one thing—his preoccupation with his faith! He had believed that if only he had the “right” kind of faith, he would receive his healing instantly.
He eventually came to the realization that he had to remove that last hindrance—his focus on his faith—and just rest in the finished work of Christ. That revelation marked his complete recovery from his sicknesses.
When you ask yourself, “Do I have enough faith?” you have already put faith as a hindrance between you and Jesus’ finished work. The more you focus on your faith, the more faith slips away. But if you focus on the finished work of Christ and see God’s grace toward you, God sees that as faith! Without realizing it, faith is there in your heart to believe that you will not die of what Christ Himself has already borne away completely for you, and you will see your miracle manifest!
