ACCORDING TO

Heal, Deliver, Save Me

LORD, do not rebuke me in Your anger, Nor chasten me in Your hot displeasure. Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am weak; O LORD, heal me, for my bones are troubled.  My soul also is greatly troubled;  But You, O LORD-how long? Return, O LORD, deliver me!  Oh, save me for Your mercies' sake! Psalm 6:1-4

The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, A refuge in times of trouble. And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You. Psalm 9:9-10

In this foolish world that we live in there is great emphasis on accomplishing things by your own strength and efforts and using the services of doctors, banker and other professionals who ironically cannot do much for you when you have real problems while God can!  As a matter of fact God has a great track record of helping those who have put their trust in Him and even doing the impossible for them.

The bible tells us when God delivered the Children of Israel from their Egyptian oppressors He not only spoiled them with the wealth of Egypt by bringing them out with silver and gold, but there was none feeble among His tribes (Psalm 105:37).

This modern materialistic society with its great emphasis on intellectualism and humanism has rejected the many commandments of God including:

Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in the LORD. Psalm 4:5

Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.  Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.  Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him,  And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday. Psalm 37:4-6

You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD; He is their help and their shield. Psalm 115:11

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;  In all your ways acknowledge Him,  And He shall direct your paths.  Do not be wise in your own eyes;  Fear the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones. Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. Proverbs 3:3:5-10

In the midst of the storms of life when we are assailed by the curses of sin, suffering, poverty, lack and death, we can trust in God to turn all things around and meet and supply all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. We can also take great hope in the fact that no storm on this earth no matter what magnitude is greater than our God!

And just like a child trusts his parents with a simple trust, we can rest in the assurance that the Lord will fight our battles against the enemy and give us victory. God shall rebuke the raging storms of our life to be calm. The Lord will never put us to shame when we trust Him in trouble for He is a good God. He shall never allow the wicked to triumph over us but He will deliver us and honor us.  He will give us perfect victory over each problem in life.  We shall be more than a conqueror through Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, the Lord is near to us and He will help us. He will destroy our enemies and give us victory for He is our Helper and Deliverer (Psalm 70:5) and the devil is a liar. And God’s word is unchanging:

"For the LORD your God will bless you just as He promised you; you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow; you shall reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over you.  Deuteronomy 15:6

not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. 1 Peter 3:9

"Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation." Psalm 91:15-16

Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. Matthew 9:35

"Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Luke 12:32

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18)

The message of the cross in reality is the various blessings God gives us through His cross. This message has the power to turn a man’s life upside down. The sinner who hears this message receives a holy life (2 Corinthians 5:17). Moreover, it gives a divine strength to those who come to salvation (2 Corinthians 12:9). It can change the life of people who do not know God, people who have stony hearts and people who know Him but do not seek Him. Yes! It can change the life of everybody irrespective of the differences they have.

When we received Jesus as our Lord and Savior, He took our name! Our name was sin. Our name was weakness. Our name was fear and poverty and every other evil thing we inherited from Adam.  Jesus took those names from us and gave us His own in exchange. That's right! Ephesians 3:15 says that the whole Body of Christ has been named after Him both in heaven and earth. That means we have been given Jesus' Name. Its authority is now ours!

We are named after "Jesus, Mighty God, Wisdom, Deliverer, Avenger, Lion of the Tribe of Judah, Word of Life, Advocate, Provider, The Great I Am, Helper, Savior, Prince of Peace, Wonderful Counselor,  Savior, Healer , Deliverer, Lamb of God, Lord of Hosts, Root of David, Author and Finisher of our Faith, The Way, Healer, Son of God, Man of War, The Truth, Judge of all the Earth, Advocate, Refuge, Rock, High Tower, Strength, Friend, Brother, Chief Cornerstone, King of Kings, Light of the World, Chief Shepherd, My Strength and Song, Righteous Judge, Son of Righteousness, Resurrection and Life, The Alpha and Omega."

Jesus is now our Jubilee. He has restored to us all the benefits  God originally planned for mankind. Because of Jesus, we can walk in divine health and have all our needs are met-spirit, soul and body and financially. God’s word is unchanging:

"These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.  "This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.  "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. "You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.  "No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. John 15:1-10

"And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.  "Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. John 16:23-24
