SUPERABUNDANT SUPPLY

GOD IS NOT CHEAP!

And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. - John 2:1-11

God has been represented as a God who is on a tight budget and who disapproves of us asking for anything more than just the necessities. However, this first miracle of Jesus disproves that.

Scholars suggest that a firkin was equal to about nine U.S. gallons. This would mean that six of these water pots would hold 162 gallons of wine. That's a lot of wine!

In a similar instance when Jesus was asked to provide food for the multitude, He once again supplied more than the need (Mt. 14:15-21; Mk. 6:33-44; Lk. 9:11-17).

These examples show the Lord's willingness to meet our needs with plenty to spare. God is not cheap!

Today, don't limit God to barely meeting your needs. If you have enough, then believe for extra so that you can bless someone else. "Let God be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servants" (Ps. 35:27).

FOR OUR HEALTH

Oh, give thanks to the Lord! —1 Chronicles 16:8

According to a prominent Duke University Medical Center researcher, “If thankfulness were a drug, it would be the world’s best-selling product with [health benefits] for every major organ system.”

For some, being thankful means simply living with a sense of gratitude—taking time to recognize and focus on the things we have, instead of the things we wish we had. The Bible takes the idea of thankfulness to a deeper level. The act of giving thanks causes us to recognize the One who provides our blessings (James 1:17).

David knew that God was responsible for the safe delivery of the ark of the covenant in Jerusalem (1 Chron. 15:26). As a result, he penned a song of gratitude that centered on God instead of simply expressing his delight in an important event. The ballad began: “Oh, give thanks to the Lord! Call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples!” (16:8). David’s song went on to rejoice in God’s greatness, highlighting God’s salvation, creative power, and mercy (vv.25-36).

Today we can be truly thankful by worshiping the Giver instead of the gifts we enjoy. Focusing on the good things in our lives may benefit our bodies, but directing our thanks to God benefits our souls.

Gratitude is our natural response to God’s grace. Nothing so takes the heart out of a person as ingratitude. Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others.

True thanksgiving emphasizes the Giver rather than the gifts.

SUPERABUNDANT SUPPLY IN YOUR AREA OF LACK

Philippians 4:19 - And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Are you facing a lack in any area of your life, be it finances, health or relationships? Know that in that very same area, God has already prepared His superabundant supply which will abound toward you, and on top of that, His grace and more of His grace!

In John 6:1–13, Jesus was with a large crowd of people who were hungry. The problem then was a lack of food. But Jesus knew that where there is lack, there is superabundant supply in His Father’s kingdom to overcome that lack.

His disciples, however, did not know that. They did not think the same way as Jesus did. They told Him that there was a boy with five loaves and two small fish, but they did not think that that would amount to anything. They said, “What are the five loaves and two fish among so many?” (John 6:9)

They saw only the problem, the lack. But Jesus took the little, lifted it up as He looked to heaven and gave thanks to His Father, whose supply is so much more than we can ever ask for.

When Jesus started distributing the little that was in His hands, a miracle happened. Five thousand men, not counting women and children, ate as much as they wanted and for as long as they were hungry!

The supply kept flowing as long as the need was there. And after they were so filled, there were 12 baskets full of leftovers! That is God’s superabundant supply. In God’s kingdom, there is no such thing as the Father not having enough or not wanting to give abundantly to His children. No, He promises that He will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus!

My friend, God wants us to always be conscious of His grace abounding toward us and enveloping us. So let us, like Jesus, acknowledge God’s superabundant supply by thanking Him for it and for whatever is in our hands. Let us believe that His superabundant supply will flow and multiply the little that we have, and fill us up to overflowing!

Thought For The Day :
God’s supply is so much more than we can ask for.

WHAT MATTER'S MOST?

YOUR POSTION ON EARTH ISN’T WHAT MATTERS MOST … ITS YOUR POSITION WITH GOD !!!

Have you had something happen in your life that made you feel wrong? Maybe you’ve made some mistakes. Maybe circumstances put you in the wrong place. Maybe someone even told you—“You’re wrong.” It’s easy to let those external influences affect your thoughts and make you feel wrongly about yourself.

If that’s you, I just want to encourage you today—if you are in Christ Jesus, you’re not on the wrong side of life. You are not in a wrong place; in fact, you are in the right place—on the right side of God!

Colossians says that if we are raised with Christ, we are seated with Him in heavenly places at the right hand of the Father. It says we are to seek what’s at His right side, and that is Jesus Christ. What’s significant about the right hand? The right hand represents the blessing of God. It represents favor, honor and authority. In scripture, Joseph wanted his father to bless him with his right hand. Jesus sits at the right hand of God continually interceding for us! Think about when you greet someone. You extend your right hand!

If you feel wrong today, that’s not God. God is not in the business of condemning people; He’s in the business of loving people! His right hand is extended toward you. He wants to greet you, He wants to hold on to you, and He wants to position you in heavenly places.

So many times, we think it’s our earthly position that gives us strength and power. We think if we are doing well on the job, we are in a good place. We think if people like us, we’re in a good place. The truth is, your position on earth isn’t what matters most; it’s your position with God in heavenly places! The next time something or someone tries to make you feel wrong, remember that you are on the right side of God!

“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.” (Colossians 3:1, NIV)

 REST TO SEE VICTORY

…“Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” - Mark 12:36

Many of us want our problems solved first before we adopt an attitude of rest. We say things like, “I can only rest when my healing manifests,” or “I’ll relax the day I get that promotion and pay increase.” But God says, “Sit at My right hand, till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”

Sitting is a position of rest. Through Jesus’ finished work you are seated with Him in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). And you are to remain seated or at rest until you see God put every one of your problems under your feet!

Thoughts may be swirling in your head today—What am I going to do about it? Where is the money going to come from? What if the tumor is malignant? What if I lose my job? But learn to adopt an inward position of rest. When you rest, the Lord goes to work, orchestrating events in the natural and spiritual realms to bring every enemy under your feet.

Beloved, you allow Almighty God to work in you, through you and in your circumstances when you rest. Sometimes, it may seem like He is not doing anything when you rest. Don’t be tempted then to move out of your position of rest. You can’t do more than He can! Stay seated—at rest—knowing that He is working behind the scenes, turning your evil days into good days, preserving you and causing all things to work out for good!

YOUR FATHER’S HEART

Matthew 7:11 - If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

Let me tell you a true story I heard. There was a pastor whose young child was diagnosed with cancer. The day his boy was scheduled for an operation, this father cried out to God, “God, I’m almost 30 years old, but my boy is only about three months old. Why don’t you just take some years off my life and give them to my boy?”

Then, from deep within him, he heard the voice of God say, “I am not like that.” When the man heard that, he realized immediately that his son’s sickness was not from God. He also realized that if he, who has faults, could want his child well, how much more his heavenly Father. So he changed his prayer and said, “Father God, I come against this sickness and I ask you for healing for my child.” That day, on the operating table, the surgeons could find no trace of cancer in the child!

Today, God wants you to know that He is not the kind of Father who wants you sick and defeated, keeps you poor and wanting, refuses to provide for your needs and denies you your blessings.

When my daughter Jessica was younger, I bought a beautiful teddy bear for her. Teddy bears are her favorite toys and I could not wait to see her joy when she saw it. My joy is to see her happy. When she is sick and has difficulty sleeping at night, it hurts me to hear her cry. When she is crying, I cannot ignore her cries. I enter into her discomfort and pain even though I know that her sickness is something that will pass shortly. When she is in pain, I feel the pain too. When she is sad, I am sad too.

I believe that God gives us children to help us understand what His Father-heart is like. His joy is to enter into your joy and see you happy. If you, in spite of your faults, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to you when you ask Him! My prayer today is that you will know just how much your Father loves you!

PRAYER FOR HEALING AND DELIVERANCE

Heavenly Father, we lift up to your throne of grace and glory all those who have need of healing and deliverance.  We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, body, soul, spirit, heart, emotions and every area of their life dear Lord.  May the resurrected, all protecting, all delivering, all sustaining, all supplying, all healing redeeming blood of Jesus Christ cover them.

In the power and authority of Jesus name, we bind and cast out every demon to the pit of hell, lock them up and take away the key that is trying to kill and destroy your children.  They are rendered "powerless" over them in power and authority of Jesus name and must leave and cannot "touch" them any longer!!

Heavenly we ask that you fill them with your Holy Spirit, evidenced by your gift of tongues, your prayer language and operating fully in your gifts of the Holy Spirit.  May they become "mighty" and "courageous" for your kingdom and speak out against all these lying spirits that have infiltrated your people.  May they become your divine light in the darkness that has manipulated and controlled your people.  Yes, Jesus, we ask that you set them "all" free indeed.  We ask that you break every chain that binds them. We ask that you remove the scales from their eyes and that they can see by faith in your holy spirit all the demonic lies that they have wrongly accepted and that they leave immediately, opening their hearts, minds and spirit to you alone.

Dear Lord, give them your wisdom, knowledge, insight and revelation to your divine holy truth in every matter.  Yes, dear Lord, may they be the first of thousands more to come in your fullness in Christ alone. In Jesus name we pray, amen and amen
