DESTROYED

The Anointing Breaks The Yoke

It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.  Isaiah 10:27

But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. 1 John 2:27

Isaiah prophesied Israel's deliverance from the Assyrians, comparing their bondage to the yoke around the neck of an ox:   There were two yokes around the neck of the animal. One yoke was a beam across the shoulders that could be removed. But the second yoke was a collar firmly fastened around the neck that could only be broken by the anointing, literally, the fat around the neck of the bull. The first collar could be removed by the farmer at any time and later replaced. The second yoke was permanently fastened and only destroyed by what was resident within the animal.  (Rod Parsley, Touched by the Anointing).  It doesn’t matter what yoke the devil has put on our lives, be it alcoholism, drug addiction, pornography, religion, witchcraft, Satanism, prostitution, fear, abuse, divorce, suicide, death - it shall be destroyed by the anointing. God’s word in Isaiah says "the yoke shall be destroyed by the anointing!" Because we have the anointing, as the anointed One, Christ lives in us, the anointing is strong enough to break any yoke.  For the anointing is the power of God transmitted through the Holy Ghost just as Jesus promised:

"But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you" Acts 1:8.

When we tap into the Holy Ghost who is a person and not just a force, we tap into the pipeline of almighty God who created the universe, parted the Red Sea, walked on water, healed the sick, cast out devils, raised the dead and set the captives free.  We tap into all that God has and is and that is very much.  As a result the anointing inside of us can break the heaviest yoke, no matter what it is, because "greater is he who is in us, than he that is in the world" (1 John 4:4). "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32). The truth is Jesus (John 14:6) and as we fellowship and sup with Him he will make us free. God’s word is true:

"Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high." Luke 24:49

"If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed" John 8:36

Yes Jesus defeated the devil He made a public spectacle of him, "and he took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it" (Colossians 2:14,15). Christ has become to us everything that we need including the power of God and the wisdom of God. (1 Corinthians 1:24). He has become for us wisdom from God-and righteousness and sanctification and redemption. (1 Corinthians 1:30). Christ the Anointed One dwells in our heart and as we seek Him with all our hearts and allow the anointing of His presence to fill us, all our yokes simply falls away. Because of the anointing we stop believing the devils lies and speak God’s truth over our lives. We confess we are saved, healed, delivered, blessed, prosperous and more than conquerors in all things. We confess that we have been delivered from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love. (Colossians 1:13). God’s word is unchanging:

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,  from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,  that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,  that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,  may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height-  to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:14-21

And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,  speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,  giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Ephesians 5:18-20

Yes, we need to be filled with all the fullness of God, allow that power to work in us and are to be continually filled with the Spirit.  Because the anointing of the Holy Ghost is tangible it is energy and it has substance. It is the perpetual propulsion of the power of God that can drive us through a line of Satan's defense. And, since the anointing is tangible, our supply can be depleted. The same disciples who were filled were also re-filled again and again. God’s word is true:

"Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word,  "by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus." And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they we Acts 4:29-31,

And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit. Acts 13:52

It is not our responsibility to produce anything -- the anointing is not something we "make." It is not our responsibility to perform a miracle. It is our responsibility to become filled with the anointing that can work the miracle.  We are only a vessel for the anointing, nothing more and nothing less. Once we are filled with the anointing, it is our responsibility to pour out every ounce of anointing God gives us so He may refill us.

We are like a blood vessel in your body. Blood vessels do not produce the blood -- the blood is manufactured by the marrow. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 4:12: "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of the soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."  The marrow represents your spirit. Blood vessels do not produce blood -- blood vessels carry blood. You do not produce the anointing -- the anointing is manufactured in your spirit. That is why you need to have a spiritual life. It is not enough to go to church on Sunday and be filled with biblical knowledge. It is not enough just to have the Word of God without the Spirit. We need a Spirit-led life.  We need the energy of the Holy Spirit to do the things of God. The energy comes from the manufacturing plant of your spirit. John 7:38 says: "He that believeth on me . . . out of his belly (the marrow, the inward parts) shall flow rivers of living water.  In ourselves, we  cannot produce the energy needed to do the things of God. The energy comes from God and is planted in our spirit. When we are given this energy, it is our responsibility to get rid of every bit we have -- by letting it flow out of you to a hurting, depraved, diseased and destitute humanity.

When a blood vessel is clogged, it is not a healthy vessel. It has to pour out the life source it has received in order to stay healthy. The same is true of us -- we need to release the anointing inside us! That is why the Bible says, "These signs shall follow them that believe. . . " (Mark 16:17) and "Go ye therefore . . ." (Matthew 28:19). God wants us to keep our vessel open. (Rod Parsley, Touched by the Anointing)

Just like the New Birth where we passed from death to life by faith and grace, we receive the anointing of God through faith and grace and not own works. Rather, we die to own works, philosophies, understanding and ways and put on the mind of Christ that comes with the anointing. God’s word is true:

'But the Egyptians mistreated us, afflicted us, and laid hard bondage on us.  'Then we cried out to the LORD God of our fathers, and the LORD heard our voice and looked on our affliction and our labor and our oppression.  'So the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm, with great terror and with signs and wonders.  'He has brought us to this place and has given us this land, "a land flowing with milk and honey"; Deuteronomy 26;6-9

There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse,  And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.  The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him,  The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,  The Spirit of counsel and might,  The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. His delight is in the fear of the LORD,  And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes,  Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;  But with righteousness He shall judge the poor,  And decide with equity for the meek of the earth;  He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,  And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.  Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins,  And faithfulness the belt of His waist. Isaiah 11:1-5

We trust and rely upon the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD that comes with the anointing. We learn to flow in the anointing of God that comes from God. We learn that we cannot produce the anointing for ourselves and that without the anointing we cannot do nothing. God’s word is true:

"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

"If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.  "By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. John 15:4-8

It is the anointing of God’s Holy Spirit that gives us the power to be what we are supposed to be and to do what we are supposed to do. It causes us to get rid of the old tenants of our heart -- our traditions, philosophies, and ideologies -- and replace them with the things made real by the Spirit of God. Then we abide in God’s blessing as outlined in Deuteronomy 28:1-14 and  we don’t go back from blessing to cursing, from joy to sorrow, from happiness to sadness, from prosperity to poverty. We live a victorious life by faith in Jesus: God’s word is true:

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20
