TELL JOEL OSTEEN

TELL JOEL OSTEEN YOU CANNOT HAVE IMMORALITY IN THE CHURCH OR THE BODY OF CHRIST - IT MUST BE JUDGED

1 Corinthians 2:15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.

1 Corinthians 5: Immorality Defiles the Church
1    It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles --- that a man has his father's wife!
2    And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you.
3    For I indeed, as absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged (as though I were present) him who has so done this deed.
4    In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
5    deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
6    Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?
7    Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.
8    Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
9    I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people.
10    Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.
11    But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner --- not even to eat with such a person.
12    For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside?
13    But those who are outside God judges. Therefore "put away from yourselves the evil person."

TELL JOEL OSTEEN CONTINUAL WILLFUL SIN IS A NO NO

1 Corinthians 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

It is sufficiently clear from a number of scriptures what sin is and that if we continue to willfully sin and be enslaved to what God says sin is, of which homosexuality is one, without confession and repentance from that sin, then we do not have the Holy Spirit of God. Without the Holy Spirit operating in one's life we cannot experience the new birth as a child of God, and we cannot enter the Kingdom of God, nor can we truly overcome sin but be enslaved by it. It is that serious and blunt. Now this is where the grey areas seem to arrive. We are all sinners and imperfect and can never fully obey all the laws and commandments of God while we are on earth, however close to obeying everything the Lord asks us to. It is only by the love, grace and the mercy of God, not our works that we are saved. It is only by the shed blood of Jesus that we are able to stand before God and are imputed righteous in spite of our past or existing or future sins. Yet, God, wants us to change and become holy and not sin and certainly not be enslaved by sin. It is God's plan and will that we be holy living in union with him. With the gift of the Holy Spirit, we can have the power to overcome self, sin, Satan and death. It takes faith and courage to follow and obey God but his promise is that we will become like Jesus and sin will suffocate and die with the life of Christ, God's Spirit in us. If we do sin, and the Spirit will tell us either from Scripture or within our conscience, then we are told to confess our sins, to repent and turn to God away from sin and what displeases the Lord and cry out to him for forgiveness and strength to overcome in the name of Jesus and the gift of the Holy Spirit. The issue for homosexuals and those that support them, is what are we doing to overcome that known sin. If one does not acknowledge it as sin then one does not take the revelations given to us in what sin is and our whole foundation is elsewhere, but not on scripture. That is a very serious situation to be in for it rejects the authority of God and what he says. It puts the whole meaning of anything the scriptures says as questionable and open to one's own interpretation and emphasis. When that happens we can only pray for a change of heart and mind. Anyone including Joel Osteen is muddying the waters and probably poisoning the waters if they ignore what scripture clearly says and they will be held accountable. God will judge them. And believers will discern them to be false teachers and prophets
