IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MUCH YOU SING AND DANCE AND PRAISE THE LORD, IF YOU ARE IN REBELLION OR HAVE NOT DEALT WITH UNCONFESSED SIN IN YOUR LIFE, GOD WILL NOT MOVE ON YOUR BEHALF!

AND HEALED THEM
FATHER GOD WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR ABUNDANCE AND PROSPERITY BUT MORE FOR HEALING OUR BODIES IN JESUS NAME BECAUSE WITHOUT GOOD HEALTH WE ARE VERY LIMITED! AMEN AND AMEN
3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers
TAKE IT TO THE LORD
...so the power of God could be seen in him. - John 9:3 NLT
When Jesus encountered a blind man, His disciples immediately began to discuss the man’s condition. They asked, ‘Was this man’s blindness the result of his own sins, or the sins of his parents?’ Jesus answered, ‘This happened so the power of God could be seen in him.’ Notice four things:
(1) The disciples were eager to attribute the man’s problem to sin. Satan will try to convince you that, because of your sin, you’re disqualified from God’s grace. You’re not! ‘For He says to Moses: “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”’ (Romans 9:15 ESV)
(2) When Jesus healed him, the neighbours wanted to debate, not celebrate. They started asking, ‘“…Isn’t this the man who used to sit and beg?” Some said he was… others said, “No…”’ (John 9:8–9 NLT)
(3) His healing failed the ‘religiosity test’ because the Pharisees said, “…This man Jesus is not from God for He is working on the Sabbath…”’ (John 9:16 NLT)
(4) Even the man’s parents weren’t free to praise God, because ‘…anyone saying Jesus was the Messiah would be expelled from the synagogue.’ (John 9:22 NLT) To the neighbours he was a misfit, to church leaders a topic of debate, to his parents a social stigma, so they ‘…threw him out.’ (John 9:34 NIV) End of story? Thank God—no! ‘Jesus...found him... and said, “...I have come into this world, so that the blind will see...”’ (John 9:35, 39 NIV) So instead of rehashing your problem and listening to other people’s opinions, take it to the Lord in prayer. When you share it with others, the best you’ll get is sympathy, but when you share it with Jesus you’ll get a solution
YOUR SUN AND SHIELD ...
For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless - Psalm 84:11, NIV
God’s heart is to pour out His favor and goodness in your life. He longs to be your sun and shield. What does the sun do for us? It lights our way; it keeps us warm; it nourishes the plants of the earth so that we can have sustenance. The earth is sustained by its relationship to the sun, and God wants to sustain you through your relationship with Him. He wants to be your shield of protection against all the fiery darts of the enemy. He wants to light and direct your path.
Are you ready to receive Him as your sun and shield today? If you’ve been relying on anything else, let it go and put your trust in Almighty God. Open your heart and receive all that He has for you. Receive His favor, blessing and protection today. Let His light shine on your path so you can move forward into the life of victory He has for you!
A PORTRAIT OF JESUS
We have turned, every one, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. —Isaiah 53:6
In Portraits of Famous American Women, Robert Henkes writes, “A portrait is not a photograph, nor is it a mirror image.” A portrait goes beyond the outer appearance to probe the emotional depth of the human soul. In a portrait, a true artist tries “to capture what the person is really about.”
Over the centuries, many portraits have been painted of Jesus. Perhaps you’ve seen them in a church or museum of art or even have one in your home. Not one of these is a true portrait, of course, because we have no photograph or mirror image of our Lord’s physical appearance. We do, however, have a magnificent word portrait of Him in Isaiah 53. This God-inspired description captures in vivid detail what He is all about: “Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering . . . . But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; . . . and by his wounds we are healed” (vv. 4-5 niv).
This passage enables us to see love and sorrow, anguish and pain on Jesus’ face. But His lips do not accuse or condemn. He has no sins of His own to grieve; only ours to bear. And deep inside, He knows that “He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied” (v. 11).
What a portrait of our Savior!
What amazing love You have for us, Jesus! As I think of how awesome You are, I bow in silence before You.
Love was when God became a man.
GROANING IN THE SPIRIT ...
When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled. - John 11:33
The Greek word that is translated "groaned" expresses that Jesus was deeply moved, but not necessarily with sorrow. It was more a groan of anger at Satan who had caused all the grief Jesus was seeing around Him. Jesus came to "destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil" (Heb. 2:14), and He was grieved to see the pain that His enemy had inflicted on those He loved.
This is the type of groaning that the Holy Spirit does for us. It is not just the Holy Spirit sympathizing with us, but it is the Holy Spirit doing battle for us when we don't know how to pray. In this case, it was the Holy Spirit doing battle through Jesus against death and the doubt of those present, that would have kept Lazarus in the grave.
Everyone who has the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit has or will have this happen to them. This groaning of the Holy Spirit is not just grief but a groan of anger and resistance against Satan's devices in our lives. Many times Christians don't discern this because they think it is just them grieved with their situation. But this is the Holy Spirit desiring to get into intercession with us against our problems.
Although the groaning is unutterable, you can discern it, and many times people react with audible groans or other outward acts. This has led to religious doctrines and traditions that are unscriptural and offensive to many people. There is nothing wrong with us reacting to the inner working of the Holy Spirit as long as we don't confuse our reactions with the Holy Spirit's actions. This intercession cannot be uttered. Any counterfeits that religion may have produced only serve to illustrate that there has to be a genuine. The genuine groaning in the Spirit is priceless.
NOTHING TO DO, ONLY BELIEVE
John 6:28–29
…“What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”
When I was a young Christian, I attended a seminar on what we must do to “work the works of God”. I was told that we had to pray more, fast more, know our enemy and so on. I came away from the seminar confused. Then one day, I found the same question in the Bible. But the answer was very different!
In the Gospel of John, we find Jesus being asked the same question by the multitude who had been awed by His miracles—“What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” The people had seen Jesus healing the sick, and feeding 5,000 men with only five loaves and two fish.
Notice how Jesus answered them: “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” My friend, the greatest doing is believing—believing in Jesus the sent one, who has done it all for you at the cross!
If you are asking, “What must I do to receive my healing?” the answer is this: Believe in Jesus, who “Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses”. (Matthew 8:17) We have seen members of our church delivered from life-threatening conditions such as cancer and kidney failure. They had simply believed that Jesus bore their diseases on His own body. There was nothing for them to do, except to believe.
When the jailer asked Paul and Silas, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” (Acts 16:30–31) The greatest miracle in your life happens not by you working and trying to save yourself, but by you simply believing in Jesus who died to save you from eternal damnation and to give you eternal life. Why then, should the lesser miracles of healing or financial breakthroughs be any different?
Beloved, what is the miracle you need today? There is nothing left for you to do, but everything for you to believe, because Jesus has done it all for you!
DEBITS AND CREDITS
In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. —John 16:33
When my husband was teaching an accounting class at a local college, I took one of the tests just for fun to see how well I could do. The results were not good. I answered every question wrong. The reason for my failure was that I started with a faulty understanding of a basic banking concept. I reversed debits and credits.
We sometimes get our debits and credits confused in the spiritual realm as well. When we blame Satan for everything that goes wrong—whether it’s bad weather, a jammed printer, or financial trouble—we’re actually giving him credit that he doesn’t deserve. We are ascribing to him the power to determine the quality of our lives, which he does not have. Satan is limited in time and space. He has to ask God’s permission before he can touch us (Job 1:12; Luke 22:31).
However, as the father of lies and prince of this world (John 8:44; 16:11), Satan can cause confusion. Jesus warned of a time when people would be so confused that they wouldn't know right from wrong (16:2). But He added this assurance: “The prince of this world now stands condemned” (v. 11).
Problems will disrupt our lives, but they cannot defeat us. Jesus has already overcome the world. To Him goes all the credit.
Thank You, Father, for being Lord over everything in our lives. We praise You for overcoming the world through Your Son.
While Satan accuses and confuses, God controls.
