Matthew 4:24 Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and
they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases
and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics;
and He healed them.
Third Wave evangelist Matt Sorger uses the approach that you are to bless greatly those who rob and hurt you! But we don't have one example of Jesus doing this to any one including Judas the thief. Rather Jesus stated in Matthew 26:24 The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born."
Even concerning the Jews who murdered him, Jesus
didn't bless them for it but had forewarned in Luke 19 about the destruction
that would fall on them as a result of their deeds.
41 Now as He drew near, He saw the city and wept over it,42 saying, "If you had known, even you, especially in this your day, the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.43 For days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment around you, surround you and close you in on every side,44 and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation."

Jesus as the Chief Apostle and Prophet, judged the
false ones of His day and He publicly did not say nice things about them but
told them that their end would be worse than their beginning. He told them they
were hypocrites, blind guides, serpents, brood of vipers, and lawless ones, who
would not escape the condemnation of hell and there would be a day of judgment
for them. He told them, "Therefore,
indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill
and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute
from city to city, "that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on
the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of
Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. (Matthew 23:34)
And because God was with Him,
God would honor His words and they would not fall to the ground. The Jewish
religious and political leaders of Jesus day along with their followers would
not escape the condemnation of hell in the speedy ensuring judgments that
followed in 70 AD for whatsoever a man sows so shall He reap! Flavius
Josephus in writing about “The Siege of
Jerusalem, AD 70” testified:
Throughout the city people were dying of
hunger in large numbers, and enduring unspeakable sufferings. In every house
the merest hint of food sparked violence, and close relatives fell to blows,
snatching from one another the pitiful supports of life. No respect was paid
even to the dying; the ruffians [anti-Roman zealots] searched them, in case
they were concealing food somewhere in their clothes, or just pretending to be
near death. Gaping with hunger, like mad dogs, lawless gangs went staggering
and reeling through the streets, battering upon the doors like drunkards, and
so bewildered that they broke into the same house two or three times in an
hour. Need drove the starving to gnaw at anything. Refuse which even animals
would reject was collected and turned into food. In the end they were eating
belts and shoes, and the leather stripped off their shields. Tufts of withered
grass were devoured, and sold in little bundles for four drachmas.
There is a real price to be paid for rejecting truth
and doing injustice, even in the current time of life, as the people of
Jerusalem who murdered Jesus could testify. By 66 AD Life in Jerusalem had
become a nightmare, it was so full of violence and misery. Famine and food
shortages become an everyday problem.
Then in 70 AD Titus marched against the city with four
legions of the Roman army. They laid
siege to Jerusalem and using their battering rams they breached the walls of
the city. Fleeing citizens of Jerusalem were caught by the Romans and were
tortured and crucified. Later the whole
city was destroyed and the people of Jerusalem paid the price for ignoring
Jesus warning about what would happen to them. These kinds of things do happen
even in the current time of life!
TITUS
now promised that the Temple should be spared if the defenders would come forth
and fight in any other place, but John and the Zealots refused to surrender it.
For several days the outer cloisters and outer court were attacked with rams,
but the immense and compact stones resisted the blows. As many soldiers were
slain in seeking to storm the cloisters, Titus ordered the gates to be set on
fire. Through that night and the next day the flames raged through the
cloisters. Then, in order to save the Temple itself, he ordered the fire to be
quenched. On the tenth of August, the same day of the year on which
Nebuchadnezzar destroyed the Temple built by Solomon, the cry was heard that
the Temple was on fire. The Jews, with cries of grief and rage, grasped their
swords and rushed to take revenge on their enemies or perish in the ruins.
The
slaughter was continued while the fire raged. Soon no part was left but a small
portion of the outer cloisters, where 6,000 people had taken refuge, led by a
false prophet who had there promised that God would deliver His people in His
Temple. The soldiers set the building on fire and all perished. Titus next
spent eighteen days in preparations for the attack on the upper city, which was
then speedily captured. And now the Romans were not disposed to display any
mercy, night alone putting an end to the carnage. During the whole of this
siege of Jerusalem, 1,100,000 were slain, and the prisoners numbered 97,000.
South African evangelist Rodney Howard Browne also
believes in blessing thieves. When he was robbed by pastor Karl Strader during
the so called revival meetings of 1993-94 in Carpenter's Home Church, Lakeland,
Florida, he not only complained to others
about being robbed by pastors, he also blessed Karl Strader by buying him a
second much needed Lincoln Town car. But Rodney wasn't stupid. He didn't use
his own money to do it but raised money
from the dumb sheep to repay Karl Strader for skimming money from the revival
offerings!
Roy Aldrich, a retired school teacher, was robbed of
$100,000.00 by Pastor Karl Strader and his son Dan Strader. Rodney
Howard-Browne, was asked to help the elderly victims who were robbed by the
Straders and he refused. But when German Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke’s decided
to relocate his ministry to Florida, Rodney Howard-Browne decided he would give
Bonnke a house. At first he offered Bonnke his own house in Tampa, but Bonnke
had to locate in Orlando to be closer to his operational base. It was then that
Howard-Browne decided to build Bonnke a new $250,000 home in Orlando. Rodney
then drove a brand new car to Bonnke’s driveway.
Hi Walter: I cannot believe such twisting of Proverbs 6: 31. It says clearly that the thief is supposed to repay the money he has stolen. Sorger twists and manipulates the OT Scriptures because he has what Paul describes as “the love of money which is the root of all evils through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced their hearts with many pangs (griefs, sorrows)” (1 Tim. 6: 10). Paul told us, “And my God shall supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Philip. 4: 19). He needs to get out of the OT and stop twisting the truth. There is no connection between a thief who steals and must pay back what he/she has stolen which obligates God to repay the stolen debt. He is giving thieves credit for God supplying money as some kind of trade off. Proverbs 6: 31 is about a thief making restitution for what he/she has stolen (Ex. 22: 1 – 4). Being a respecter of persons to the high and mighty and
ignoring the poor and needy is the gospel of Jesus Christ that hypocritical
Rodney believed in and practiced? What else do we expect from Rodney or Matt
for whom money is the most important thing and not justice?
It’s to be noted that Jesus didn't go to a fancy place to preach
and teach, to heal peoples and perform miracles people needed. Even without them asking Jesus. He
just came to where they were and did it as needed and didn't collect money from the people. Unlike Matt Sorger and his Third
Wave friends who charge good money for their so called two or three day conferences
in fancy hotels which the poor and needy
cannot afford to go to!

The Thief Has Been Found Out!
A Decree for Seven-Fold Financial Restoration
By Matt Sorger
“But if he is found out, he must restore seven times [what he stole]; he must give the whole substance of his house [if necessary – to meet his fine]. Prov 6:31 (AMP)
When the thief has been discovered to have stolen something, he must not only return what he stole, but he must give back seven times as much. Not only that, he must give his whole house away if necessary to pay back the fines he owes. As we exercise our authority in Christ by decreeing His word, the enemy and thief is going to have to pay back everything he has tried to steal from you. This truth has worked powerfully in my own life. Let me share with you an example.
Stolen Funds
There was a church I was ministering at where the power of God moved in a mighty way. There was a great blessing of God’s glory and presence released in the meetings. The church received an offering for our ministry during the service. After the meetings were over, the church gave us a check for what came in the offering. When I saw the amount, I thought possibly a mistake had been made or that the offering just hadn’t been fully processed yet. I knew in my heart that much more had actually come in for our ministry. I was hurt and felt like my trust had been betrayed. I never imagined that the pastor would take money out of our offering, especially since it was announced to the people that everything being given in the offering was for our ministry. My initial reaction was one of hurt and disappointment. Had I not taken control of my soul and brought it under submission to the Holy Spirit, those feelings would have soon turned into offense.
God is Just and Fair
I had a choice to make. As I prayed and sought the Lord, He brought me to 1 Pet 3:9-11. The revelation that God is a just and fair God hit my spirit. I realized that if I would pray and release a blessing over the pastor, it would only increase God’s blessing in my own life. I couldn’t lose. Then God brought me to Proverbs 6:31. I suddenly realized that I had the authority to decree a seven-fold return of everything that was taken. As I went into prayer, I declared that whatever was taken out of our offering must be returned with a seven-fold increase. I knew God was bigger than my circumstances and bigger than the actions of any person. Rather than demanding that our offering be given, I trusted God to bring a seven-fold financial blessing into our ministry.
Divine Financial Provision Released
As I made the seven-fold decree, suddenly that very week checks began to show up in the mail. Large donations for the ministry came in from several unexpected places. Our online resource orders shot through the roof and that following week, we received one of the largest offerings our ministry has ever experienced at the next church we ministered at. The thief had to give back seven-times and then some! When you choose to bless, you will reap blessing! When you choose to love, even when it is hard, God will turn all things for your good and override the sinful choices of other people that affect your life. Let’s pray right now and ask God to reveal to you any area that has been affected by the thief. Once the thief has been discovered, he must return seven-fold what was taken.
Decree for Seven-Fold Restoration
“Heavenly Father, show me where the thief has tried to rob from my life. Right now I pray blessing, love, well-being, protection, and provision upon every person that has hurt me. I choose to walk in love. I speak blessing over them and forgive them, in Jesus name. I release them into Your hands. I command everything that the thief has taken to be restored in Jesus name. I command the thief to repay seven times what he stole. In Jesus name, I command every fine to be paid and I empty the storehouse of the thief! I command the thief to restore seven times everything that he has ever taken from me, in Jesus name. Amen.”
