TOUCHING JESUS

GOD WHO PERFORMS AND REDEEMS

Genesis  1: 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
3 Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.
5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.
6 Then God said, "Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters."
7 Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so.

Exodus 6:4 I have also established My covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, in which they were strangers.
5 And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant.
6 Therefore say to the children of Israel: 'I am the LORD; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.
7 I will take you as My people, and I will be your God. Then you shall know that I am the LORD your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
8 And I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and I will give it to you as a heritage: I am the LORD.' "

Exodus 13: 15 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh was stubborn about letting us go, that the LORD killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man and the firstborn of beast. Therefore I sacrifice to the LORD all males that open the womb, but all the firstborn of my sons I redeem.' 16 It shall be as a sign on your hand and as frontlets between your eyes, for by strength of hand the LORD brought us out of Egypt."

Isaiah 63:14  As a beast goes down into the valley, And the Spirit of the LORD causes him to rest, So You lead Your people, To make Yourself a glorious name.

The bible is a testimony cover to cover from Genesis to Revelation of a God who performs great things for His people including their marvellous deliverance and the destruction of their enemie at the Red Sea, and the plan of salvation worked out on the cross of Calvary through Jesus and a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost so that God's people can now live under a new and great covenant with super benefits including salvation, healing, deliverance, propserity, and living and walking in the Spirit!

And the New Testament is also a testimony of God incarnate in Christ Jesus who as the son of man and the son of God was also performing great things for People. The bible records for our profit and instruction:

Matthew 4
24 Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.

Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Luke 6:17     And He came down with them and stood on a level place with a crowd of His disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear Him and be healed of their diseases, 18 as well as those who were tormented with unclean spirits. And they were healed. 19 And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all.

Luke 8
2 and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities --- Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons,

43 Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any,

Healing people of evil spirits and infirimities and casting out multiple demons from people is something Jesus loves to do even this day!
Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, but when she touched Jesus set received her needed miracle? And so can we!

Touching Jesus (Author, John Stallings)

A woman tried many physicians,
Yet grew worse, so to Jesus she came.
And when the crowd tried to restrain her,
She whispered these words through her pain.

Chorus:
Touching Jesus is all that really matters,
Then your life will never be the same.
There is only one way to touch Him,
Just believe when you call on His name.

Now, I was bound when I knelt at that old altar,
But they said Jesus could meet ev'ry need.
And when this pris'ner finally touched Jesus,
He set me free, praise the Lord, free indeed!

Chorus:
Touching Jesus is all that really matters,
Then your life will never be the same.
There is only one way to touch Him,
Just believe when you call on His name.
Just believe when you call on His name.

Now after we touch Jesus and get our miracles, we are to be His hands extended and touch other people and give them their miracles just like Jesus did when He walked the earth as the son of man and son of God which we also are and Jesus said would happen through the power of Pentecost and the Baptism of the Spirit

John 14:12 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

Luke 17: 5 And the apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith."
6 So the Lord said, "If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,' and it would obey you.
7 And which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, 'Come at once and sit down to eat'?
8 But will he not rather say to him, 'Prepare something for my supper, and gird yourself and serve me till I have eaten and drunk, and afterward you will eat and drink'?
9 Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I think not.
10 So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, 'We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.'
