I Will Deliver
"Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I
will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My
name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him
in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will
satisfy him, And show him My salvation." Psalm 91:14-16
God
doesn’t lie. His Word is true and He keeps His word. If anybody is a
liar it’s the devil and man for God’s word is unchanging:
"Why do
you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My
word. "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father
you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand
in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie,
he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
"But
because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. "Which of you convicts
Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? "He who
is of God hears God's words; therefore you do not hear, because you are
not of God."
Then the Jews answered and said to Him, "Do we not say rightly that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?"
Jesus
answered, "I do not have a demon; but I honor My Father, and you
dishonor Me. "And I do not seek My own glory; there is One who seeks
and judges.
"Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death." John 8:43-51
The
devil is a liar and so are his friends. The word of God warns us that
some will depart from the faith and give heed deceiving spirits and
doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy. They will speak great
swelling words of emptiness. While they promise men liberty they only
bring them into bondage. But God’s word is true:
For if, after
they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of
the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and
overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. For it
would have been better for them not to have known the way of
righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment
delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true
proverb: "A dog returns to his own vomit," and, "a sow, having washed,
to her wallowing in the mire." 2 Peter 2:20-22
This is the
message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is
light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have
fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice
the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have
fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son
cleanses us from all sin.
If we say that we have no sin, we
deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins,
He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a
liar, and His word is not in us. 1 John 1:5-10
The
wayward man is a man of empty ambitions devoid of the purpose and call
of God upon his life. He walks in total evil self-centeredness and
wonders why he is in trouble most of the time. He is happy only
occasionally and that due to circumstances he is currently enjoying for
joy is not really in his spirit or his heart. He walks in the
shallowness of his every evil thought and wonders why he is not happy.
Happiness
is a condition of man as a result of a right relationship with the
Lord. It comes upon one when attitudes and actions lines up with the
truth of Heaven. This is possible in the duration of time as one comes
to a true understanding life is not selfish, carnal or temporal. It is
other centered, spiritual and eternal. When one lives with this
understanding then with time and attention for establishing the truth in
one's life, one's existence may become productive for the Kingdom of
Heaven and the precipitation of that is peace and joy in one's life.
Life
is not meant for man but man for life. For life is only truly lived in
the realm and presence of the LORD and his teachings. When one truly
understands this, then Jesus' sacrifice on the cross begins to make
sense. He provided the sacrifice and the alternative to selfish carnal
living and opened the door to Heaven for mankind once again. For man
broke his covenant and relationship with his creator long ago but
recaptures it with the acceptance and a renewed relationship with Jesus
his Savior. With this understanding, a spiritual dimension opens up in
the man's life and once again he can have a personal and intimate
relationship with his creator-The Father of Heaven-The LORD!
This
awakening is only the beginning of his relationship. He must understand
that he must acquire the truth each day for the rest of his live and
continue to build his relationship with the Heavenly Father each day
through Jesus Christ. This is possible only as he spends both quality
and quantity of time alone in the Presence of the Lord. He sets aside
time for spiritual refreshment and instruction.
The Lord
specifically said, he had taken away Jesus so he could send the
Comforter or the Holy Spirit to each one of His children who truly
believe. This relationship with the Holy Spirit is the beginning of
their relationship with the Father of Heaven and must be cultivated,
nurtured and matured. This takes time, attention and teachableness. One
must not be closed to new instruction, as long as it is not contrary to
the written Word of God and falls in line with the personality of God.
This
reawakening is possible through long hours of reading, meditation,
study and prayer mixed with praise. Without this time in the dark room
of God's classroom the immature never come to full maturity. The
maturity process takes time and it can be speeded up if the person is
willing to spend more time and effort with the Lord, until truth takes
it's rightful place in the person's daily life. Just going to church and
listening to a sermon on Sunday or any other day, won't do it. It's not
enough because it takes quality time spent with the Holy Spirit that
brings about real change in a person's spiritual life and ultimately in
their outward daily living.
Change is only possible through the
Presence of the Holy Spirit and keeping your spiritual eyes on the
Lord. Changes comes about through spending time in God’s presence:
The Holy Spirit Can Change Anything About You!
He can change your circumstances,
He can change your mind,
He can change your personality,
He can change your relationships,
He can change the way you feel about things,
He can change anything,
If you will give Him one thing--
Time in His Presence!
