ANOTHER GOSPEL

Lordship Salvation (Calvinism Repackaged)

1 Corinthians 2:1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 3 I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

The main problem with “Lordship Salvation” is that it's a false gospel preached by the wisdom of men devoid of confirmation by miracles signs and wonders following. Hence the faith of its adherents is not in the power of God but in the wisdom of men!

Many believers today have foolishly accepted the teachings of Calvinism (repackaged as Lordship Salvation) as merely a matter of semantics. Heretics like John MacArthur, Kirk Cameron, Pat Robertson, Paul Washer and Ray Comfort are commonly viewed as simply having a varying or different theological view amongst evangelical Christians; but they are teaching doctrines of devils. These wayward men “have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment” ...

Acts 15:1 and 24, “And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.... Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment.”

John MacArthur, Kirk Cameron, Paul Washer and Ray Comfort are followers of the heresies of John Calvin (1509-1654), who taught a perverted gospel message. Calvin's heresies are commonly referred to as the “5 points of Calvinism.” Pastor Curtis Hutson exposes Calvinism's 5 points here. mare still widely accepted because they preach Christ crucified, buried and risen.

Paul Washer's corrupt message is subtle, identical to the heresy of Ray Comfort, Kirk Cameron and John MacArthur; but they all in essence teach the same thing—Lordship Salvation. Paul Washer has appeared on WAY OF THE MASTER to be interviewed by Kirk Cameron. They're all heretical Calvinists. Paul Washer actually gave a sermon titled “DECLARING WAR ON THE SINNER'S PRAYER.” In the video Washer claims that the sinner's prayer has sent more people to Hell than anything else. Yet does not Romans 10:13 in the Bible PROMISE that WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED! Yes, most certainly, the Bible does say exactly that! God promises salvation to anyone who believes on Jesus Christ.

To understand the issue of Lordship Salvation, realize that THEY ARE ALL CALVINISTS!!! John Calvin (1509-1564) taught a heresy called the PERSEVERANCE OF THE SAINTS, which taught that if a person is truly saved they will continue in holy living, surrendering their life to Christ, and departing from sin and the world; thus, this becomes a REQUIREMENT to be saved in Calvinism. This is EXACTLY what Lordship Salvation teaches today (it is just Calvinism). It is a false gospel.

Paul Washer is a heretic!!! God saves the vilest sinner who cries out even with the faintest and smallest of prayers, believing that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God (John 20:31). Ray Comfort attacks soul-winners for practicing what he calls, “quick-Fix” evangelism. They despise the idea of showing a person some Scriptures from the Bible and then leading them in a sinner's prayer to be saved. Paul Washer calls such preachers of the gospel “STUPID EVANGELISTS.” Isn't that terrible? Paul Washer should be ashamed of himself. If the Bible teaches anything, it teaches that the gospel is simple, and it's very easy to be saved. You simply come as a SINNER and you believe upon the SAVIOR. It's that simple!

Granted, some people do pray a prayer and never get saved. Catholics do it all the time, praying vain repetitions (Matthew 6:7). Albeit, I'm not going to corrupt the simplicity that is in Christ by perverting the gospel to ANOTHER GOSPEL. God's plan to save sinners is for men to acknowledge their sinnership and believe on the Savior Who died, was buried, and rose again three days later (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). That is the gospel. That's it! Salvation is not a prayer. We are saved by our heart's faith in Jesus as the Christ, the only begotten Son of God (Romans 10:9-10). Thus, it is very appropriate to pray a sinner's prayer if it is to express one's trust in the Lord for salvation. The sinner's prayer comes from Luke 18:13, “And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.” The thief on the cross prayed.

If you listen to Paul Washer's Sermonette, he says it sometimes takes weeks and months to get people saved, alleging it is hard to believe. Washer uses this argument to shun the idea that a person can be saved by praying a quick prayer, aka, the 1-2-3 follow me method. Like it or not, salvation is simple, call it what they will.

Lordship Salvation is Calvinism's teaching of the Perseverance of the Saints. It is a false gospel. John MacArthur is admittedly a 5-point Calvinist. The saddest thing of all is that I know pastors who foolishly refer to John MacArthur as a “great man of God,” when in reality MacArthur is a false prophet who is steeped in satanic Calvinism. Stop and think about the thief on the cross who in a moment's time simply admitted his sinfulness and cried out to the Lord to be saved. It was a simple prayer. Shame on Paul Washer, Ray Comfort, Kirk Cameron and John MacArthur who MAKE SALVATION HARD!!!

We are told in Romans 8:16, “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.” It is God's Holy Spirit Who indwells the believer and lets each and every one of us individually know that we are God's children. Mr. Washer says good works is the way to know you're saved. He is a liar!!! The Bible says the Holy Spirit's presence in our life is proof of our salvation.

Ephesians 1:13, “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.” In simple terms, this Scripture means that God has given to us the Holy Spirit as a downpayment, as a “PLEDGE” (which is what the word “earnest” means in Ephesians 1:14). It is God's pledge that He is going to make good on all His promises to us concerning our salvation, particular the redemption of our body (Romans 8:23; Philippians 3:21).

Paul Washer is very wrong to teach that abstaining from sins and consecrating one's life to God (the FRUIT of one's faith) is a necessary part of the ROOT of faith. That's where they go wrong theologically. Abraham believed the Lord and it was counted unto him for righteousness. That is the ROOT of Abraham's faith (Genesis 15:6; Romans 4:3-5). Abram (Abraham) was saved in Genesis 15. However, when Abraham offered up Isaac in Genesis 22, that was the FRUIT of his faith (James 2:21).

“The Gospel is not a call to repentance, or to amendment of our ways, to make restitution for past sins, or to promise to do better in the future. These things are proper in their place, but they do not constitute the Gospel; for the Gospel is not good advice to be obeyed, it is good news to be believed. Do not make the mistake then of thinking that the Gospel is a call to duty or a call to reformation, a call to better your condition, to behave yourself in a more perfect way than you have been doing in the past …

Nor is the Gospel a demand that you give up the world, that you give up your sins, that you break off bad habits, and try to cultivate good ones. You may do all these things, and yet never believe the Gospel and consequently never be saved at all.”

Pat Robertson's False Gospel

By David J. Stewart

Galatians 1:6-7, “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.”

Pat Robertson's ministry is the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN). On the main page of their website they ask the question, “Do You Know Jesus?” By clicking on the button, it takes you to another page that presents THEIR gospel. Sadly, it is a false gospel, and not what the Bible teaches.

The following is quoted from their website:

“We must trust Jesus Christ to forgive our sins and determine to obey Him for the rest of our lives. That way we can know God and find peace again.

        The Bible says:

So you will be saved, if you honestly say, Jesus is Lord, and if you believe with all your heart that God raised Him from death. God will accept you and save you, if you truly believe this (Romans 10:9-10).

Is there any good reason why you cannot turn your life over to Jesus Christ right now?

How to give your life to Christ:
        1. Admit you are a sinner and need forgiveness.
        2. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.
        3. Through prayer, confess that Jesus Christ is the only way to God and commit to live for Him for the rest of your life.”

Where does the Bible teach that a person must “determine to obey Him for the rest of our lives” to be saved? Where does the Bible teach that a sinner must “commit to live for Him for the rest of your life” to be born-again? That is self-righteousness! Pat Robertson is teaching the heresy of Lordship Salvation. This is the most popular and dangerous false doctrine in the world today, because it is a perverted gospel message which Satan has subtly brought into churches worldwide. It abandons the righteousness which is in Christ alone and requires a certain degree of self-righteousness, which is pure Catholicism. That's what the Catholics believe, i.e., that a person gets to Heaven by faith and works. The Bible teaches that we are saved by God's grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ. Galatians 3:26, “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”

Lordship Salvation is the consequential result of ecumenicals rubbing shoulders in an unholy alliance with Roman Catholics. Ecumenicals are unbelievers who falsely profess to be Christians, and work to unite the Catholic religion with genuine Biblical Christianity, which is impossible. It is called Ecumenism. Their followers are known as the Ecumenical Movement. Ecumenicalism is easily summed up as “sinful compromise.” In 2nd Corinthians 6:17 God commands believers . . . “Wherefore come out from among them, and BE YE SEPARATE, saith the Lord.”

The manmade traditions of Catholicism are diametrically opposed to the Bible. There is no agreement. As 2nd Corinthians 6:14 asks, “What fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?” Only evil people try to unite Catholicism with Biblical Christianity. One of the biggest sins of our time is that more Christians fail to expose the evil Catholic religion, which is leading over one billion people into the Lake of Fire. So hear me out... the heresy of Lordship Salvation is akin to the faith and works philosophy of the damnable Catholic religion.

JOHN HAGEE IS OFF THE WALL!

    John Hagee . . .

“I'm not trying to convert the Jewish people to the Christian faith.”

John Hagee is a false prophet, working for the New World Order gang. Hagee teaches a heresy known as "Zionism." Religious Zionism teaches that God has a separate covenant with Israel and another for the Gentile Church. This is unbiblical and is sometimes called a "Dual Covenant." Hagee stated to the Houston Chronicle that he believes Jews have a special covenant with God and do not need to come to the cross for salvation. According to Hagee Jews don't need to be born-again. Mr. Hagee told the Texas newspaper:

"I believe that every Jewish person who lives in the light of the Torah, which is the word of God, has a relationship with God and will come to redemption" (Houston Chronicle, April 30, 1988).

The Houston Chronicle newspaper then quoted Hagee's own shocking words...

"I'm not trying to convert the Jewish people to the Christian faith... In fact, trying to convert Jews is a waste of time. Jews already have a covenant with God and that has never been replaced by Christianity." (Houston Chronicle, April 30, 1988, sec, 6, pg. 1).

Trying to convert Jews is a waste of time? Hagee is of the Devil. Jesus told Nicodemus, a Jewish leader, that he could NOT enter into the Kingdom of God if he didn't get born again. "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3b). Every follower of Judaism, a false religion which rejects Jesus as the Messiah, will go straight to Hell in their sins to be tormented in flames. I love Jewish people, but they will burn in Hell as quick as any Gentile who rejects Jesus as their Christ. Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to Heaven!

Preaching Prosperity

John Hagee believes that all Christians should be financially prosperous so long as they continue to walk in obedience to God's ordinances. Although he does not subscribe to every doctrine common to the so-called Faith movement, he does agree with the movement's view that "poverty is caused by sin and disobeying the Word of God."1 Hagee, like most other prosperity preachers, believes that "poverty is a curse."2

Christians achieve prosperity through giving, asserts Hagee. "When you give to God, He controls your income. There's no such thing as a fixed income in the Kingdom of God. Your income is controlled by your giving."3 According to Hagee, Christians grow prosperous through giving because "God created a universe where it is impossible to receive without giving. Everything that God controls, gives. . . . Givers gain. You do not qualify for God's abundance until you give."4
