GOD IS FAITHFUL TO GIVE THE VICTORY
Deuteronomy 20: 1 "When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the LORD your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt. 2 So it shall be, when you are on the verge of battle, that the priest shall approach and speak to the people. 3 And he shall say to them, 'Hear, O Israel: Today you are on the verge of battle with your enemies. Do not let your heart faint, do not be afraid, and do not tremble or be terrified because of them; 4 for the LORD your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.'
Psalms 37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.
1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
The bible is a record of God’s faithfulness to give the victory to His trusting ones in all kinds of negative situations and circumstance including David, Mordecai, Job, Daniel, and Jesus! Providing salvation and victory is not a very difficult thing for God to do as He has done it many times before!
David was a nobody, a shepherd boy, who stumbled into a battle field where under King Saul, mighty Goliath was threatening the armies of Israel and nobody could stop him. So David stepped up to the plate and silenced Goliath by killing him and Israel won a great victory that day. But in the process David made himself an enemy of jealous King Saul who did everything in his power to destroy him. But finally because of God’s help, David became king and replaced King Saul and took over all that belonged to him.
Mordecai was also a nobody, a humble Jew, who refused to bow down to the Prime Minster Haman, an arrogant and evil man who then plotted to destroy the Jews. With Queen’s Esther’s help Haman was hanged on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai and Mordecai inherited Haman’s wealth and greatness!
Job was a richest and a blameless righteous man of his day, of whom God Himself boasted about him to Satan. Well Satan requested a test from God as to Job’s integrity and love for God. As a result Satan killed all his children, took away all his wealth and afflicted him with a terrible disease. But in spite of his terrible trial and his awful comforter and friends, Job stayed faithful to God who not only gave him total victory but restored double his wealth, healed him and added 140 years to his life so that Job saw his children and grandchildren for four generations. And the LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning.
Daniel was another blameless faithful servant of God and one of the three governors in the kingdom of King Darius, whose jealous envious competitors, conspired and succeeded in putting Daniel into a den of lions. But God closed the mouth of the lions from devouring praying Daniel, and got him delivered by King Darius decree. God not only gave Daniel the victory but caused his enemies and their families to be destroyed and devoured by the same lions!
Jesus Christ, the faithful son of God, was commission to redeem mankind as a result of the fall in the garden of Eden where paradise was lost and man was doomed to an eternal hell! He was born of a virgin birth to Mary, and raised up by hard working parents. Then when the time came God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. But the religious ones were jealous, angry and hateful of Jesus for their own reasons and conspired to have Jesus murdered by crucifixion.
But God who is faithful raised Jesus Christ from the dead, gave him victory over all His enemies, highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And in 70 A.D God repaid Jesus murderers, when the Roman army took Jerusalem, destroyed its temple, and ended the Jewish religion of sacrifices and offerings.
Titus marched against the city with four legions of the Roman army. They laid siege to Jerusalem and using their battering rams they breached the walls of the city. Fleeing citizens of Jerusalem were caught by the Romans and were tortured and crucified. Later the whole city was destroyed and the people of Jerusalem paid the price for ignoring Jesus warning about what would happen to them. These kinds of things do happen even in the current time of life!
TITUS now promised that the Temple should be spared if the defenders would come forth and fight in any other place, but John and the Zealots refused to surrender it. For several days the outer cloisters and outer court were attacked with rams, but the immense and compact stones resisted the blows. As many soldiers were slain in seeking to storm the cloisters, Titus ordered the gates to be set on fire. Through that night and the next day the flames raged through the cloisters. Then, in order to save the Temple itself, he ordered the fire to be quenched. On the tenth of August, the same day of the year on which Nebuchadnezzar destroyed the Temple built by Solomon, the cry was heard that the Temple was on fire. The Jews, with cries of grief and rage, grasped their swords and rushed to take revenge on their enemies or perish in the ruins.
The slaughter was continued while the fire raged. Soon no part was left but a small portion of the outer cloisters, where 6,000 people had taken refuge, led by a false prophet who had there promised that God would deliver His people in His Temple. The soldiers set the building on fire and all perished. Titus next spent eighteen days in preparations for the attack on the upper city, which was then speedily captured. And now the Romans were not disposed to display any mercy, night alone putting an end to the carnage. During the whole of this siege of Jerusalem, 1,100,000 were slain, and the prisoners numbered 97,000.
Since that time, the everlasting kingdom of Jesus Christ has been in force (2 Pet. 1:11) and we are now grafted into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by God in whom we have obtained an inheritance, Jesus Christ. As a result today in Christ’s eternal kingdom we have eternal life (John 3:15), an everlasting covenant (Heb. 13:20), everlasting power (1 Tim 6:16), and an eternal inheritance (Heb 9:15). We have been commissioned to rule and reign in the power and authority of His name, the name above all names. God’s word is unchanging:
"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. "And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. "If you love Me, keep My commandments.
"And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever- "the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. "I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. John 14:12-18
Because of what Jesus did on Calvary we sit with Christ on His throne (Rev. 3:21) and reign as kings and priests (Rev. 1:5-6) and through the eyes of faith, through spiritual eyes, we can do greater works than Jesus did including casting out demons, laying hands on the sick and every raising the dead for this spiritual kingdom that has complete dominion over the natural realm. This world now belongs to the Father, Son, and His children and not to the devil. God’s word is unchanging:
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. Matthew 28:18-20
And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; "they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen. Mark 16;15-20
Yes the old covenant nation of Israel was destroyed forever, and the nation that currently exists in the Middle East is a non-biblical nation. Yes It is very foolish in any generation to reject God’s true apostles and prophets who usually are not dressed in fine line and drive luxury cars (1 Corinthians 4:0-13). Jesus as the Chief Apostle and Prophet, judged the false ones of His day and He publicly did not say nice things about them but told them that their end would be worse than their beginning. He told them they were hypocrites, blind guides, serpents, brood of vipers, and lawless ones, who would not escape the condemnation of hell and there would be a day of judgment for them. He told them,"Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city, "that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. (Matthew 23:34) And because God was with Him, God would honor His words and they would not fall to the ground. The Jewish religious and political leaders of Jesus day along with their followers did not escape the condemnation of hell in the speedy ensuring judgments that followed in 70 AD for whatsoever a man sows so shall He reap!
Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: "For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him." But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul. Hebrews 10:35-39
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2
The Word of God is clear that the just shall live by faith and if anyone draws back God has no pleasure in Him. But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul. Speaking of the saving of the soul, when we are born again, our spirit was regenerated but our mind was not renewed. Our mind, this souls of ours need to be taught to be re-educated to obey and confess the Word of God and nothing else. When we believe to the saving of the soul, we are not talking about being lost in hell, because when we were born again, we were saved and going to heaven. Saving of the soul refers to the renewal of our mind and to be made perfect, whole, complete lacking nothing. God’s word is true:
Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. 2 Corinthians 13:11
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:2-5
Epaphras, who is one of you, a bondservant of Christ, greets you, always laboring fervently for you in prayers, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. Colossians 4:12
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23
Yes, God has provided us with a great and complete salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed, to us by those who heard Him, God also bearing witness both with signs and wonders, with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will? (Hebrews 2:3-4). Yes, God wants us to become complete, stand perfect and complete in all the will of God, be perfect and complete lacking nothing and He is able to sanctify us completely so that our whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The word “save” comes from the Greek word “sozo,” which means the complete salvation for the spirit, soul and body. The Word of God affects all three parts of the human being. As a result our soul needs to be renewed, to be re-adjusted to think like the Word, to feel like the Word. When our soul is renewed we will have the full assurance of faith and not only partial assurance, half assurance, quarter assurance. When the Word of God has its perfect work in us, we will be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. We will have a perfect and complete answer to all our prayers, all the things that we want. Our soul will be lined up with our human spirit, which is born again. God will come forth to overcome the circumstances in our life when we have the Word of God rooted in our soul.
Wise King Solomon told us in the book of Proverb says the Word of God will become flesh to our bones. But it had to flow through our soul. It has to become a part of our thinking life, the way we think, act and talk. It has to be predominating in our lives and then we will be prosperous and successful just like Jesus told us:
But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.' “Matthew 4:4
"I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.”Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. "I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. "By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. John 15:1-8
The fruit that we bear has to do with the character of Jesus in our lives, and the character of Jesus will result in the power of God and prosperity and healing in our life. These things flow from that fruit that is developed in our life. It’s according to the strength of our inner man that the outward man can function. And the strength of our inner man is determined by the amount of change or the transformation of the character of Jesus in our inner man.
Jesus Christ is the word made flesh. To abide in Christ is not only to walk and live in His Spirit but to walk and live in accordance to every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. When the Word of God becomes predominate factor in our life, the resulting words that we speak by the Spirit of the LORD will conquer and overcome all things. When we receive the Word of God we digest it until it becomes a part of us. We allow it to be to be digested by our spirit and to renew our soul until our soul is steadily held by the Word of God. Then the Word of God produces faith in our human spirit and confidence in the Word of God. And then we speak forth those things which we desire based on the Word of God and it becomes a reality!
Yes, when the word is the Word and is already on our inside and we can make a decree to any mountain. And what we decree we believe that our words will come to pass. And so when we tell the mountain, move from hence forth to yonder it will obey because God’s word shall not return void but will accomplish that for which it is sent. God’s word is unchanging:
So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. Matthew 17:20
Then He said, "To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it? "It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; "but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade." Mark 4:30-32
