GOD DAILY LOADS YOU WITH BENEFITS
Deuteronomy 28:6 - Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.
In the Jewish community, the promise, “Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out”, refers to being blessed in the affairs of one’s daily life, whether in or outside one’s home.
So here, God is saying that you are blessed in your everyday life. Do you believe it? Do you believe that every day, your family and work life are blessed? Or do you think that you are blessed only during Christmas when you receive your gifts and year-end bonus, or when you get that promotion you have been wanting? Perhaps you think that the blessed life only begins when you meet the man or woman of your dreams!
No, my friend, you are blessed every day and you have God’s Word for it. Psalm 68:19 says, “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation!” And because God’s Word says so, believe that every day of your life is loaded with benefits. Every morning, when you get up, believe that it is a day that the Lord has made, and rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24) Start the day expecting it to be loaded with the benefits that God has prepared just for you.
At night, when it is time to sleep, know that you will be blessed when you get up in the morning because there will be another load of benefits from your heavenly Father, who so loves you unconditionally, waiting for you!
You can’t make your blessings happen. But if you will just believe what God has said in His Word and act like it is so, the blessings will manifest in your life. In fact, God wants to bless you more than you want to be blessed! His Word declares it:
“Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out…Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation!”
Beloved, believe God’s Word. Believe Him for the blessings and you will find yourself loaded with His daily benefits!
Thought For The Day
Start the day expecting it to be loaded with the benefits that God has prepared for you.
Remember God is your source of protection from every attack of the enemy! Sickness, pain, fear, and lack, are no match for the finished work of Jesus!
WHEN THE ANSWER ISN'T WHAT YOU WANT ...
'A thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me.' 2 Corinthians 12:7 NKJV
Paul isn’t referring to the kind of ‘thorn’ you find on rosebushes, but a sharp, pointed stake that inflicts pain. And the word ‘buffet’ means ‘to render blow after blow after blow’. This makes his next statement all the more amazing: ‘I begged the Lord three times to take this problem away from me. But He said to me, “My grace is enough for you. When you are weak, My power is made perfect in you.” So I am very happy to brag about my weaknesses. Then Christ’s power can live in me.’ (2 Corinthians 12:7–9 NCV) Paul responded to his thorny situations by doing six things:
(1) Admittinghe needed God’s strength.
(2) Asking,even begging, for God’s help.
(3) Acceptingthe answer when God said, ‘No.’
(4) Appreciatingit as a gift of grace.
(5) Actingwith confidence and continuing to fulfil his mission.
(6) Acknowledgingthat the problem allowed God to work through him.
When the driving force within Paul had been redirected by God, he wrote: ‘I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.’ (Galatians 2:20 NIV) Paul’s will had been taken to the cross and crucified. Now he operated in the will of God and no longer questioned the path or the price. That’sthe place God wants to bring you to!
YOUR ANSWER IS--GOD!
'Oh, that I knew where I might find Him.' Job 23:3 NKJV
Job’s troubles lasted almost a year. In that year he lost his children, his money, and his health. That’s when he prayed, ‘Oh, that I knew where I might find Him.’ Notice, Job didn’t pray, ‘Oh, that I knew how to get back my children, my money, and my health.’ He focused on none of those things. He realised that when you are in right standing with God, all the rest will fall into place. Here’s a truth you learn when you lose what you love: when you’ve nothing left but God, you discover that God is enough!Much of the book of Job is about his confusion regarding God and his complaints about his lot in life. Are youdoing that? If you are, don’t worry. God can handle it. As long as your eyes are on Him,He can correct you, teach you, help you, and cause you to grow stronger in faith. Job wasn’t privy to what had gone on behind the scenes. He didn’t know that a discussion had taken place between God and Satan in which Satan said that if God stripped Job of all he had, he would curse Him (Job 1:11). But God knew differently, so He allowed Satan to attack Job for a season. When it was over, God hadn’t changed His mind about Job and Job hadn’t changed his mind about God. If you’re wondering how the story ends: ‘The Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning.’ (Job 42:12 NKJV) So if you’re in trouble today, your answer is—God. Keep trusting Him and He will bring you through victorious!
WALK IN THE LIGHT
Matthew 26:41 "Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
How do you walk in the Spirit? The way you do this is through living by, conducting your actions according to, and following the leading of the Word of God as quickened to you by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit and the Word of God agree perfectly because the Holy Spirit is the one who inspired the written Word of God.
Denying the flesh will not result in walking in the Spirit. Walking in the Spirit will result in denying the flesh. This may seem like a subtle difference to some, but the difference is truly profound. As a whole, false religions teach that as we overcome our flesh, there is a noticeable increase in the presence and power of God in our lives. That was what the Pharisees of Jesus' day and the legalistic Jews of Paul's day taught. Just the opposite is true. As we experience more of the presence and power of the Spirit of God, then the influence of the flesh is diminished. Victory must come in this order. We don't walk in the Spirit as a result of overcoming the flesh, rather overcoming the flesh is the result of walking in the Spirit.
It's similar to how you fill a dark room with light. You don't shovel out the darkness and then light appears. No! You simply turn on the light and the darkness flees. Much of religion preaches to stop sinning (get rid of the darkness) and then the Holy Spirit will come and empower you (the light will come). That's not the way it works. Man can no more get rid of the power of the flesh on his own than he can get rid of the power of darkness without light. We have to receive the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives by grace and then the union with the Holy Spirit breaks the power of the flesh. The key to breaking the dominion of the flesh is to appropriate the power of the Spirit through faith, while the flesh is still causing us problems. Those who are waiting for the Spirit to manifest after they have subdued the flesh, will wait as long as the man who is trying to get rid of the darkness so the light will appear.
Through Jesus’ finished work at Calvary, God has supplied every provision you need for every area in your life.
Nothing is too big or too small for your Daddy God. Even in the little things, God hears and answers the prayers of His beloved.
BUSY OUTWARDLY, PEACEFUL INWARDLY
You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. - Isaiah 26:3
The world can give you a certain amount of peace. You can go to a spa and get a comforting massage as soft music plays in the background. You can look at a beautiful sunset and sense a measure of peace as the sun dips beyond the horizon, spreading its golden rays on the sea and coloring the darkening sky with various hues of orange.
But alas, the music stops and the sun sets! Peace from these sources is fragile, temporary and dependent on the environment. But Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you…” (John 14:27). The peace that Jesus gives is different—it’s robust, it’s lasting and it doesn’t depend on your environment. You can be busy handling a crisis and still be at peace inwardly!
Beloved, meditate on scriptures on peace throughout the day, scriptures such as John 14:27, or John 16:33—“…in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” As you keep your mind stayed on the grace and faithfulness of our Lord Jesus, negative thoughts cannot remain and lock you in a state of worry and defeat. Keep your mind stayed on Him, and the Prince of Peace Himself will cause you to walk in an inward peace that is independent of your environment and that surpasses all understanding!
THE FINAL PICTURE
Lift up your eyes on high, and see who has created these things. —Isaiah 40:26
What started as an empty 11-acre field in Belfast, Northern Ireland, ended up as the largest land portrait in the British Isles.Wish, by artist Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada, is made from 30,000 wooden pegs, 2,000 tons of soil, 2,000 tons of sand, and miscellaneous items such as grass, stones, and string.
At the beginning, only the artist knew what the final artwork was going to look like. He hired workers and recruited volunteers to haul materials and move them into place. As they worked, they saw little indication that something amazing was about to emerge. But it did. From the ground, it doesn’t look like much. But from above, viewers see a huge portrait—the smiling face of a little girl.
God is doing something on a grander scale in the world. He’s the artist who sees the final picture. We’re His “fellow workers” (1 Cor. 3:9) who are helping to make it a reality. Through the prophet Isaiah, God reminded His people that it is He who “sits above the circle of the earth” and “stretches out the heavens like a curtain” (Isa. 40:22). We can’t see the final picture, but we continue on in faith, knowing that we’re part of an amazing work of art—one that is being created on earth but will be best seen from heaven.
While sometimes I think I can see the big picture, Lord, my heart knows it
sees so little. I’m thankful that You are working out Your beautiful will in this world, and I can trust You.
God is using us to help create a masterpiece.
