WITH HIM

"The Word Of The LORD Is With Him"

But Jehoshaphat said, "Is there no prophet of the LORD here, that we may inquire of the LORD by him?" So one of the servants of the king of Israel answered and said, "Elisha the son of Shaphat is here, who poured water on the hands of Elijah."  And Jehoshaphat said, "The word of the LORD is with him." So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.   Then Elisha said to the king of Israel, "What have I to do with you? Go to the prophets of your father and the prophets of your mother." But the king of Israel said to him, "No, for the LORD has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab."  And Elisha said, "As the LORD of hosts lives, before whom I stand, surely were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, I would not look at you, nor see you.  "But now bring me a musician." Then it happened, when the musician played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him. And he said, "Thus says the LORD: 'Make this valley full of ditches.'  "For thus says the LORD: 'You shall not see wind, nor shall you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, so that you, your cattle, and your animals may drink.'  "And this is a simple matter in the sight of the LORD; He will also deliver the Moabites into your hand.  "Also you shall attack every fortified city and every choice city, and shall cut down every good tree, and stop up every spring of water, and ruin every good piece of land with stones." 2 Kings 3:11-19

Victory comes by hearing and acting the voice of God for any given situation, not by perspiration (Deuteronomy 28:1-14). And the voice of God becomes a reality when we pray and sing to Him in spirit and in truth (1 Corinthians 14:15). Praise brings God right into our situation. God has to deal directly with praise while angels run the errand of prayers. Praise gets us right into God’s presence. God’s word is unchanging:

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting,  And His truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100:4-5

I will bless the LORD who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons. …You will show me the path of life;  In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:7- 11

Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us.  God shall bless us,  And all the ends of the earth shall fear Him. Psalm 67:5-7

"But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, And there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. Obidiah 1:17

In God’s presence there is counsel, fulness of joy and on His right hand are pleasures forevermore. When God’s people praise the Lord the earth yields her increase and God  blesses them. Praise gets them across to Mount Zion where, "there shall be deliverance and holiness and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions."  Mount Zion is a mount of miracles. Praise gets us there. Praise gets us directly to where God lives. And in His presence there is fullness of joy and pleasures forevermore and victory and miracles for God is a God of victory and a God of miracles.

The bible puts no limit to what God will do to give us the victory. We cannot number how many people, nations and kingdoms God killed to bring victory to the physical Israel. As the seed of Abraham and Jesus Christ and God’s bride, He is committed to our success. It does not matter what the situation is. Whatever God did anything for the nation of Israel or any King of Israel or Judah, He will do much more for us. We are His very seed.  We are His partner in the covenant. We are the apple of His eyes. Hence  God is against anybody that is against us. He is against anything that is against us. We can overcome always. The greater one is in us. He is at work in us now. He is greater than all our life battles, so we can win them all. He is working His good pleasure in us.  We are a born winners. And if we believe it, act on it, it will be demonstrated in our lives and circumstances. We will triumph in the works of God’s hands for victory comes from God. God’s word is unchanging:

Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me."Psalm 50:15

"Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation." Psalm 91:14-16

It is good to give thanks to the LORD, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning,  And Your faithfulness every night,  On an instrument of ten strings, On the lute, And on the harp, With harmonious sound. For You, LORD, have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands. Psalm 92:1-4

It is a fact that praise gets the devil out of the scene and brings God there. No devil can stand the force of genuine praise and worship. Such place is exclusively reserved for God. God has the monopoly of praise centers.  If we are a praise-filled believer we will keep the devil constantly at a distance from our environment. The year of jubilee is the year of restoration is because when there is jubilation, praise and worship, God is ever set to perform wonders (Leviticus 25). When we bring out praise from our heart we will get God to go full- length in performing for us. Clouds get lifted up at praise. Hence Elisha the Prophet said, "But now bring me a musician." Then it happened, when the musician played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him." The hand of God will be upon us and give us the wisdom to get victory just like He gave Elisha the word of knowledge. Praise brings God on the scene and where God is there is victory, peace, joy, blessing and His Goodness!

Through praise and the blood Jesus we can enter boldly to the throne of grace and find mercy and grace to help in time of need.  We can present our case before God and He will surely justify us. There is no way He can deny Himself. He is keeping watch over His word to perform it. We have an account in heaven for us overflowing with the riches of God in Christ Jesus. The riches are inexhaustible, and the variety unlimited. They are made available upon request to sons and daughters of the King which we are. We can make a demand on this account in the name of Jesus with a firm assurance that whatever we ask, we receive of Him. God’s word is unchanging:

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. "For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. "Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? "Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Matthew 7:7-11

Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment. 1 John 3:21-23
