YOUR GOD

 If You Can Believe!

Then one of the crowd answered and said, "Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit.  "And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not."  He answered him and said, "O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to Me."  Then they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth. So He asked his father, "How long has this been happening to him?" And he said, "From childhood.  "And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us."  Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."  Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!" When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, "Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!" Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, "He is dead."  But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose. Mark 9:17-27

To believe is to accept something as true or real. It is to have firm faith, confidence, or trust. It is to have confidence in the truth or value of something.  And if we can believe God He has much for us.  True men and women of God, don’t trust in what their natural senses feel or see. Their mind isn’t on the temporal but on the eternal. They are aware that those who are for us are greater than those who are against us. They see the invisible realm of heaven with God and His angels to be more real than this temporal realm. They know that just like the angels came and ministered to Jesus they can come and minister to us. They know they can ask the Father at any time to provide them with more than twelve legions of angels, as we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.  God’s word is true:

Therefore he sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city.  And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?"  So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them." And Elisha prayed, and said, "LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 2 Kings 6:14-17

Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him. Matthew 4:11

And suddenly, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword, struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear. But Jesus said to him, "Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. "Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels? "How then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?" Matthew 26:51-54

The good news is that Jesus, the Great Commander of the Hosts is above all things that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers He is the Lord of the armies, the Chief, the commander of the army of the Lord. He is also the King of Kings, Lord of Lords and God of Gods. God’s word is unchanging:

“For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. Colossians. 1:16

Another parable He put forth to them, saying: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, "which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches." Matthew 13:31-32

The kingdom of God which is inside each true believer is a dimension that men cannot see. They cannot see righteousness, peace, joy and the Holy Spirit but it’s something that God’s true children can feel and experience and know! The things in the kingdom of God including miracles are activated by faith in God’s word. God’s answers prayer in His dimension and we call for it, come to Him and get it.  We activate His word. We release faith that we will receive, and we will have. If there is sickness or disease, we go to Him knowing that He and paid the price for all sickness and diseases. We go into God’s dimension and take what is ours.

In the kingdom of God if we can believe, things will be for us as we speak. But we must get to a place where we ourselves believe in God and have faith like a mustard seed. The smallest seed in the world produces the largest tree. That mustard seed will provide a tree for shade and birds. Animals will lodge in the trees. If we can just believe and reach out for what God has for us, claiming that this is His word, then it will begin to happen for us. But we must initiate the miracles in our life.  We must come to a place and know that Jesus has something to give His people: its belief in Christ. Believe that He is Son of God. Believe that He died, and on the third day He arose from the dead. Believe that He has set us free from bondage and sins - that He forgave our iniquities and took our infirmities. Believe that He has come to give us life more abundantly.  And then we can watch and see what He will do to help us when we begin to believe.

We can come to God for miracles and all kinds of things even though our belief is little, like the grain of mustard seed. But He will cause good things to come to pass for us when we believe just like He did for the father whose son was possessed by an unclean spirit, by a deaf and dumb spirit. Yes we can go to Jesus and receive what we have need of.  He is the only way into the presence of the Father.  He is the Father and Father is Jesus; and the Holy Spirit is in Jesus - for they are all one. God’s word is unchanging:

Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.  "If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him."  Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us." Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'? "Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.  "Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.   "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.  "And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. John 14:5-14

Yes, we can believe that the words of Jesus are true including "And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. If we believe what we ask for it will come to pass. God will open wide the portals of heaven and cause us to see what we can behold in Christ. If we can believe, the works that Jesus did we will do also; and greater works than these we will do, because Jesus went to His Father - we will accomplish everything that we set out to do. For Jesus will open the blind eyes. He will raise the dead. He will open up deaf ears. He will do all these things through you; if we can believe. God’s word is unchanging:

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.  By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks. By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, "and was not found, because God had taken him"; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:1-6
