Touching Jesus
A woman tried many physicians,
Yet grew worse, so to Jesus she came.
And when the crowd tried to restrain her,
She whispered these words through her pain.
Chorus:
Touching Jesus is all that really matters,
Then your life will never be the same.
There is only one way to touch Him,
Just believe when you call on His name.
Now, I was bound when I knelt at that old altar,
But they said Jesus could meet ev'ry need.
And when this pris'ner finally touched Jesus,
He set me free, praise the Lord, free indeed!
Chorus:
Touching Jesus is all that really matters,
Then your life will never be the same.
There is only one way to touch Him,
Just believe when you call on His name.
Just believe when you call on His name.

LUKE 8: 43 Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any,
44 came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped.
45 And Jesus said, "Who touched Me?" When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, "Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, 'Who touched Me?' "
46 But Jesus said, "Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me."
47 Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately.
48 And He said to her, "Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace."

WHAT
DOES IT MEAN "And so all Israel will be saved"?
Acts
2
21
And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be
saved.'
40
And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, "Be
saved from this perverse generation."
Acts
4:12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under
heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
Romans
11:26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: " The Deliverer
will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
“Though
the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, the remnant
will be saved” (Rom. 9: 27). Secondly,
“And so all Israel will be saved” (Rom. 11: 26). When Jesus began His ministry in Israel, it
was not only for Jews but also for Gentiles.
The first believers mentioned in the New Testament, Jews or Gentiles,
became a part of Israel. They were
called “followers of the Way” (Jn. 14: 6).
They had their own house meetings but they also went to the
synagogues. In 70 AD when the Romans
destroyed the city of Jerusalem and the Temple,
all of the Jews who believed in Jesus were warned by prophecy to leave
the city because it was going to be destroyed and they moved to Antioch. Because the followers of Jesus did not defend
the city, they were all kicked out of the synagogues and started to meet
separately on Sunday which was in remembrance of Jesus being raised from the
dead. Now, the interesting thing was that all believers, Jews and Gentiles,
from the beginning were Israel.
The
Gentiles, that’s us, were engrafted on the tree of Israel. The Jews who rejected Jesus became the broken
branches of the Olive Tree (Rom. 11: 17, 19)which is Israel. The Gentiles, that’s us, were adopted into
the family of Israel (Gal. 4: 4 – 6).
Jews, also have to receive Jesus as their Saviour and Lord. And, we all have to be circumcised, not
outwardly in the flesh but inwardly circumcised of the heart by the Holy Spirit. When, under the New Testament, we are Jews,
we are Israel. There is only one
Israel. And, under the New Covenant, we are members of the tribe of Judah: Jesus’s
tribe. And, since Jesus is the New
priest after the order Melchizedek, He is the collector of the tithes. The tithes have been taken away from the
tribe of Levi and now go to the tribe of Judah (Heb. 7: 22).
And
because there is now, by definition a continuing Israel through Jesus Christ,
of which we are now members. As a result
Paul can say, “And so all Israel will be saved.
All Israel today is what Paul was saying, when he wrote, “There is
neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male
nor female; for you are all one in Christ” (Gal. 3: 28). Through Jesus Christ we are all Jews and
there is only one Israel as there always has been. The legitimate Church of Jesus Christ is the
continuing Israel. And, so my brother
Jews, we are, through adoption into the Jewish Family of God, going to have the
wonderful experience after we are raised from the dead to meet all of those who
in the OT were men and women of faith (Heb. 10 plus those written about in the
Old Testament and enjoy eternal life in the New Jerusalem. Only legitimate Jews (Rom. 2: 28 – 29)will be
resident in that great new City of
Jerusalem with a remnant which will be so small that we are told it will be “a
great multitude, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and tongues
(Rev. 7: 9) and that will be “all of Israel” which will be saved.
So,
I think that Paul, must have had a smile on his face when he wrote, “Lest you
be wise in your own conceits, I want you to understand this mystery, brethren:
a hardening has come upon part of Israel, until the full number of the Gentiles have come in, and so all
Israel will be saved; as it is written, “The deliver will come from Zion, he
will banish ungodliness from Jacob; and this will be my covenant with them when
I take away their sins” (Rom. 25 – 27).
And, the mystery is that our God can take a ``remnant`` and make it an
“all”. So, my Jewish/Christian Brethren,
welcome to the continuing Israel, all planned and put in place by our Saviour
and Lord Jesus Christ and brought about by the Holy Spirit as planned by our
heavenly Father. “And salvation is found
in no one else, for there is no other name given to men by which we must be
saved” (Acts 4: 12). And, that Name is
Jesus which, in Greek means “Yahweh is salvation”! Isn’t this exciting!
