The Lord Will?

"And the LORD will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the LORD swore to your fathers to give you.  "The LORD will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.  "And the LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. Deuteronomy 28:11-13

Because the Lord is the Lord He can do whatever He has promised to do including blessing some and cursing others, promoting some and demoting others or making some rich and others poor. His word is unchanging:

"The LORD kills and makes alive;  He brings down to the grave and brings up. The LORD makes poor and makes rich;  He brings low and lifts up.  He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the beggar from the ash heap, To set them among princes  And make them inherit the throne of glory.  "For the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, And He has set the world upon them.  He will guard the feet of His saints,  But the wicked shall be silent in darkness.  "For by strength no man shall prevail.  The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken in pieces;  From heaven He will thunder against them.  The LORD will judge the ends of the earth.  "He will give strength to His king,  And exalt the horn of His anointed." 1 Samuel 2:6-10

In Acts 10:38, we read that God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost and with power, and He went about doing good.  Jesus is still doing good today to all who will accept Him and His wonderful promises.  Jesus came for the purpose of taking back all that the devil stole from mankind when man sinned in Eden.  Jesus redeemed us through His shed blood.  Satan no longer has dominion over those who have been washed in that precious blood. Jesus paid a great price for us to be free of all devil bondage.  Jesus loves us, and it is His will for us to prosper and be in health as we walk in His love and faith.  It is His will for all of our needs to be supplied. Hence we can ask that Jesus will do us good as we look to Him in faith to fulfill His promises to us – all of them. His word is true:

"So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. "No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days. Exodus 23:25-26

There is no sickness, poverty, lack or loss in Heaven but there is sure a lot of it on earth! Now many American prosperity teachers who really don’t care about others, never mind justice, truth and integrity, would have us believe that God wants every person to be a millionaire and it all can be achieved through a hundred fold return by giving to their ministries? One hundred percent obedience to the voice of God and walking blamelessly in His ways and commandments is not mentioned by most of them. Yet many of them tell us that Jesus talked more about money than anything else? What a bunch of hogwash!

But the other side of the coin is that God has promised that those who would serve the Lord their God, He would bless their bread and their water and He would take sickness away from their midst. No one would suffer miscarriage or be barren in their land. And He would fulfill the number of their days. Since God’s power has not diminished one bit and since His promises are true to those who believe them and meet the conditions set out in God’s word, it looks like a lot of Christians are living needlessly in poverty and lack and with sickness and disease! Maybe they should stop listening to their pastors and preachers who know only slightly more than they do and start listing to God and His Holy Spirit? God’s word is unchanging:

But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.  For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.  For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren,  saying: "I will declare Your name to My brethren;  In the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You." Hebrews 2:9-12

"Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. "And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:  "of sin, because they do not believe in Me;  "of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more;  "of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

"I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.  "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.  "He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.  "All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you. John 16:7-15

All things that the Father has including wealth, health, prosperity and power belong to Jesus and hence they belong to His brothers and sisters. And the Holy Spirit is the promised One who will declare and make them real to God’s people. But the Holy Spirit cannot be ignored or pushed aside in favor of others, just because they graduated from a school of cemetery!  One of my good friends graduated with honors from Dallas Theological Seminary but he didn’t know how to get his prayers answered! And his personal family life was a total mess in that he could not bring up his own children. Yet God’s word is unchanging:

This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work.  A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach;  not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous;  one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence  (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?);  not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil. 1 Timothy 3:1-6

Yes, there are too many in the ministry who are not blameless, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable,  given to wine,  violent, greedy for money,  quarrelsome,  covetous and not , and not gentle or one  who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence. Of course this is a judgment and a statement of fact of the reality about many pastors and preachers in America. And Jesus told the hypocrites not to judge because they judged improperly unlike Jesus:

"I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me. John 5:30

"You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. "And yet if I do judge, My judgment is true; for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent Me.  "It is also written in your law that the testimony of two men is true. John 8:15-17

True judgment is done in cooperation with the Holy Spirit, not without him, and with the gifts of the Spirit just like Jesus did. The Holy Spirit and a true man of God filled with the fullness of God gives the testimony of two men whose words are true. And God’s word is unchanging:

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.  But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For "who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:12-16

I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people.  Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.  But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner-not even to eat with such a person. For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside?  But those who are outside God judges. Therefore "put away from yourselves the evil person." 1 Corinthians 5:9-13

HEBREWS 6:13 For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself,14 saying, "Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you."15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise

God is the same yesterday, today and forever. His word and promises stands from generation to generation. We,  Gentiles, are the extension of all His promises to Abraham. Therefore, let us rejoice and be glad and stand....wait patiently for his promise to come to pass in our life. He promised us abundant blessings and His grace is sufficient enough.

HE is the Alpha n Omega.. the Beginning n the End.. The Bright Morning Star... The Author of our Salvation.. The Prince of Peace... The wonderful Counselor.. He is the Great I AM.. He is not a man He should , His promises stand true.
