ELEMENTARY

 WE MUST RECEIVE :

Luke 13:16 "And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath day?"

This sickness was the work of Satan - not the work of God. Jesus said it had bound her - not blessed her - for eighteen years. The teaching that says that sickness is actually a blessing in disguise, because the Lord is working His plan in one's life, is not found in scripture. As Acts 10:38 says, Jesus "went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil," not "oppressed of God."

There are 17 times in the Gospels when Jesus healed all of the sick that were present. There are 47 other times when He healed one or two people at a time.

Nowhere do we find Jesus refusing to heal anyone. Jesus said that He could do nothing of Himself, but only what He saw the Father do. His actions are proof enough that it is always God's will to heal!

Jesus provided for physical healing as well as forgiveness of sins. The very word "save" (Gk.-"sozo") is translated "made whole" in reference to physical healing in Matthew 9:22, Mark 5:34, and Luke 8:48. James 5:15 says "the prayer of faith shall save (Gk.-"sozo") the sick." Many scriptures mention the healing of our bodies in conjunction with the forgiveness of our sins.

Healing is a part of our salvation, just as much as the forgiveness of our sins.

It is God's will that no one should perish, but many do because of their unbelief. Likewise, it is God's will that we all be healed, but not all are healed because of failure to believe. It is a mistake to assume that whatever God wills will automatically come to pass. We play a part in receiving from God. Believe His Word today.

WATER FOR THE WORLD

He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. —John 7:38

Although 70 percent of the world is covered by water, less than 1 percent of it is drinkable by humans. Water conservation and sanitation are crucial matters in many parts of the world, as all life depends on having sanitary water.

Jesus went out of His way to introduce a lost woman to another kind of life-giving water. He deliberately chose to go to a town in Samaria, a place where no respectable rabbi would set foot. There, He told this woman about “living water.” Those who drink of it, He said, “will never thirst.” It will “become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life” (John 4:14).

The living water is Jesus Himself. Those who receive Him have eternal life (v.14). But the living water He provides also serves another function. Jesus said of those who receive it: “Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water” (7:38). The living water that refreshes us is to refresh others also.

As fresh-water distribution is uneven in the world, so too is the distribution of living water. Many people do not know followers of Jesus who really care about them. It is our privilege to share Him. Christ is, after all, the living water for whom people are thirsting.

Lord Jesus, I want to live for You. May Your life and love flow through me as I go about my duties today so that others may see You through me and be drawn to the living water.

Jesus is a never-ending supply of living water for a parched world.

THE KEY TO CONFIDENCE :

Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. – 1 John 3:21-22

You can never get away with disobeying God.

Some people think they can. They think that if nobody finds out about it, it won't hurt anything. After all, God is merciful. He's not going to hold it against them, right? And if no one else knows...what's the difference?

What they don't realize is that their own hearts will start giving them problems. Their own hearts will start to condemn them. Everyone else may think they're great. They may be spouting faith talk all over the place, but when they come before God in prayer, they'll be filled with doubts and fears that keep their prayers from being answered.

That's one of the reasons why it's so important to live in obedience to the Lord. A life of obedience will give you a spiritual boldness you've never had before. It will give you a boldness in prayer, a boldness in faith. It will give you a confidence toward God, as the Apostle John says, that those who are trying to get away with sin don't have.

I'm not saying that you have to be perfect. That you must never make a mistake. But you should walk in obedience to the light you have. Take the time to listen and be responsive to the Spirit of God. When He tells you to do something, do it.

As you do, that confidence will rise up within you. It won't be something you mentally drummed up or talked yourself into. It will just be there. Instead of being consumed with doubts and feelings that the Word of God isn't going to work for you, you'll find yourself filled with faith that it will. You'll begin to trust God and to flow with Him. You'll come to a place the Bible calls "rest in the Lord."

Remember this: Even though the eternal price for your sins has been paid, a life of disobedience will still cost you dearly. It will cost you the boldness that is rightfully yours in Jesus. It will rob you of faith and rock you with fear.

Don't let the condemnation of your heart cut your confidence short. Do the things that are pleasing in God's sight and walk tall in the kingdom of God.

HOW TO DEAL WITH SICKNESS!

To deal with sickness a healthy change to proper eating is the right approach in the natural. But fighting the giants from one’s  feeble body, self strength and will power is not!

Many speak from a defeated position rather than position of victory! Their take on sickness is when his body is strong enough they will take the giant down?

They don't speak from faith that they are already healed by the blood of Jesus!  They don't speak of God’s faithfulness of never leaving them, nor forsaking them and that Jesus is closer than a brother!  They speak of strangers loving and remembering them. But, not of God's unfailing, everlasting, agape love!  They ignore speaking the word of God of victory including:

Psalms 103:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name!
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:
3 Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,
4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
6 The LORD executes righteousness And justice for all who are oppressed.

Isaiah 54:17  No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me," Says the LORD.

1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness --- by whose stripes you were healed.

Christians who are in the flesh, not in the Spirit, are capable of anything including bitterness, hatred, murder, unforgiveness, witchcraft, etc

GALATIANS 5:16    I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
17    For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.
18    But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19    Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
20    idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,
21    envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22    But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23    gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
24    And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25    If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26    Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

Joshua and Caleb, unlike the majority of the children of Israel,  believed that they could drive the giants out and possess the land, while the others died in the wilderness of their own choosing

The sad part is that nothing has changed and the majority of God's people are dying in the wilderness of their own choosing due to fear, unbelief, laziness and apathy

God is love and love cannot stand by and do nothing when somebody is hurting? Love is like the nameless Samaritan who when he found a man robbed and beaten by thieves spent his own money to bring the man back to recovery.

And God wants to step in and give a miracle when people are hurting if they will only let him and believe for a miracle!

Jesus Christ is not just a theology but a person and god and a miracle working friend which is what many  don't preach but get entangled in other things. Grace still mean's God riches at Christ’s expense.

And many miss out an important characteristic of jesus Mark 10:45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."

Jesus is a healing miracle working Jesus who was in the now. that Jesus cares about his own is a fundamental truth of the gospel
1 Peter 5:7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Any other presentation of Jesus character is false. And the fact that Jesus cares and is a miracle working healing God, gives us hope in any and every negative situation to believe for real change for He wants to bring His change to every area of our lives. Yes, from glory to glory. We grow. And hence we are to look unto Jesus in all things.

Hebrews 12: 1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

We want perfection...everything to be perfect and even expect perfection from ourselves?  When the Holy Spirit shows us our imperfection, we choose how we respond. For instance, all day long little things keep going wrong and over a period of time you get frustrated and irritated about your day. Perhaps you voice your frustration aloud.  You might think, that is just my personality, I can't help it that’s just the way i am. Or you might think, what's wrong with me, why do I react like this all the time?    I will never be able to change.  Both are extremes.  First scenario, we give up on ourselves.  2nd scenario, we give up on god.  We are not perfect.  But, God loves us deeply and doesn’t want to leave us in our imperfection..

God wants to change us from the inside out.  Only God can change our heart, mindset and actions or reactions.  He knows everything about us and exactly why we do the things we do.  He has mercy and compassion for us in our weakness; gracious to forgive.  More so, he wants us to rely on him solely to change the things that we cannot change.  It is a process.  We expect overnight success.  God changes us little by little and before we know it, we don’t react the same way we used to over things that used to frustrate us so easily. It may not be perfect yet. But, it's progress and progress is good.  Know this, god will never give up on you....

ELEMENTARY EDUCATION?

Repentance is 1 of 6 "elementary teachings" as defined by Scripture. Heb 5:12-6:2 In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God's word all over again... Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God, instructions about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.

"Repentance is the underlying process that characterizes all movement towards God. Throughout the Old Testament, repentance was the theme of all preaching. John the Baptist preached repentance. Jesus, in Mathew and Mark, opened His ministry by preaching repentance. In Luke, Jesus says: "If you do not repent, you will all likewise perish", and Luke concludes with the directive of Christ to go and preach repentance. Peter preached repentance at Pentecost. Paul preached repentance in Acts 17. To five of the seven churches in the Revelation, Jesus says "Repent", and the book concludes with the directive that those who do not repent will continue in an evil way. And so it seems that repentance is of the utmost importance."

Are all Christians truly saved, true Christians and once saved always saved?
Of course not! The bible is clear you can believe and preach another gospel or Jesus

GALATIANS 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted --- you may well put up with it!

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

If you are not led by the Spirit of God but by another spirit you are not a son of God but a son of hell!

JOHN 8:43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word.
44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me.
46 Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me?
47 He who is of God hears God's words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God

THE PAULINE DOCTRINES ARE A POOR SUBSTITUTE

Acts 6:
1 Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution.
2 Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, "It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables.
3 Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business;
4 but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word."
5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch,
6 whom they set before the apostles; and when they had prayed, they laid hands on them.
7 Then the Word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.
8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people.

1 Corinthians 2:
1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God.
2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
3 I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.
4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

Whenever a church or denomination loses its power  and effectiveness because it stopped being full of faith, wisdom, holy spirit and power , it starts to trust in the wisdom of men including Pauline doctrines conjured out of Paul’s epistles! Doctrines such as unlimited grace, once saved, always saved, predestination, women cannot preach,  pastors are to rule churches, love is the greatest, miracles have ceased, etc.

The Word of God tell us that Apostle Paul never intended that his writings be a substitute for having our faith not in the power of God but in the wisdom of men.

However fleshly carnal ones love things they can control including doctrine and understanding of scriptures since they cannot control the Holy Spirit and His gifts including miracles

As a result the fleshly ones  who are devoid of power and truth hate  Jesus commands and statements in  Mark 16:14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen.
15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.
20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

A WIMPY COUNTERFEIT ANEMIC JESUS

Many so called bible believing Christians are real fools who worship the bible above Jesus Christ whom they don’t obey. They offer a wimpy anemic counterfeit Jesus who loves everybody and wants everybody in heaven and ignore the fact that Jesus Christ who is the same yesterday, today and forever is a man of war who kills His enemies! They have a form of godliness and deny its power. They are devoid of truth, miracle, signs and wonders contrary to the commands of Jesus (Mark 16:14-20). They are devoid of wisdom and discernment as defined by Isaiah 11:1-6 and 1 Corinthians 2:1-16. They hate the gifts of the Spirit and don’t practice them (1 Corinthians 12-14)

All they every do is talk and talk and talk and judge others as not being Christians! They throw true Christians out of their anemic impotent useless churches! They preach that suffering and poverty is the will of God and miracles have ceased but when they are sick they run to a doctor instead of accepting sickness as the will of God. They think they are on the way to heaven when in reality they are on the way to hell as they are the foolish virgins (Matthew 25:1-12). They are nothing but a cult!

Paul mentioned such people who refused the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in 1 Cor. 14: 23 – 24. The Greek word that he uses to describe them is “idiotai” (plural), “idiotes” (singular) which means they are spiritual “idiots” but usually translated as “ungifted” of “unskilled” or laymen, amateurs, unskilled  people.  They do not want the Holy Spirit nor do they want the Gifts of the Holy Spirit.  But they want to be involved in churches and prevent the real work of God which requires the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.  They are people who want what God has without coming under His Lordship which requires the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the “Signs” of the Holy Spirit.  They are like the Pharisees of whom Jesus said, “for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God” (Jn. 12: 3). Samuel told Saul, “Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness as iniquity and idolatry.  Because you have rejected the word of the LORD (Yahweh), he has also rejected you from being king” (1 Sam. 15: 23).  This applies today who do not want to do what Jesus requires of them.

They think that because they have prayed the “sinner’s prayer” that they can ignore what the Scriptures require and not lose their Salvation.  That’s the reason why Jesus warn us in Revelation 3: 5 that when somebody turns away from Him, they can have their names blotted out (removed) from the Book of Life.  Also: Heb. 6: 1 – 8; 2 Pet. 2: 20 – 22; Proverbs 26: 11.  Jesus aptly warns us, “Beware of false prophets  which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.  You will know them by their fruits.  Do men gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles” (Matt. 7: 15: 16).

PRAYER FOR THE DAY :

“By day the Lord directs His love, at night His song is with me – a prayer to the God of my life.” (Psalm.42:8)

Dear Lord God, I praise You. I honor You. Let the rain of this morning fall upon me with abundances from the heavenly barn. Fill my cup with overflow blessings and nourish my life profusely. I give thanks to God for another blessed day for the love of the Lord; my God is with me and His right hand sustains me in all my ways and guides me to walk on the righteous path that leads me to reach the great reward in heaven ultimately. Great is Your faithfulness O God!

Gratefully, in Jesus’ holy name. Amen !!!
