HONORED

Honored or Lightly Esteemed

Then a man of God came to Eli and said to him, "Thus says the LORD: 'Did I not clearly reveal Myself to the house of your father when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh's house?  'Did I not choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be My priest, to offer upon My altar, to burn incense, and to wear an ephod before Me? And did I not give to the house of your father all the offerings of the children of Israel made by fire?  'Why do you kick at My sacrifice and My offering which I have commanded in My dwelling place, and honor your sons more than Me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of Israel My people?'  "Therefore the LORD God of Israel says: 'I said indeed that your house and the house of your father would walk before Me forever.' But now the LORD says: 'Far be it from Me; for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed. 1 Samuel 2:27-30

Anybody can walk in the flesh, not the Spirit, and by sight, not by faith! People do it all the time and it doesn’t honor God! As a result God doesn’t honor them because they despise Him! Dr. Larry Ollison  in his article Revelation Knowledge vs. Sense Knowledge writes

Mankind was designed to live in a world where nothing is impossible. But without God’s ability flowing in our lives, we have learned to see anything above man’s ability as impossible. If mankind cannot come up with a solution or a cure in his own intelligence, we say, “It’s impossible!”

Luke 18:27 says, “The things impossible with men are possible with God!”

God wants us to walk with Him, in the spirit realm, in the realm of faith. This is the realm where omnipotent power speaks words into being and substance. It is the realm of God who calls the things that are not as though they were! Adam was an under-ruler for the One who had framed the worlds out of the things which are not, by faith in His own Word, as we see in Hebrews 11:3.

Adam was the father of all men, and his sin caused a state of separation from God for the entire human race. Everybody who is not “born-again” is under the curse of being separated from God. That’s why Jesus said that to enter the kingdom of God we must first be born again!

We have to learn once again to partake of God’s nature. We have to live as God originally designed for us to live. We must live by FAITH!

Hebrews 11:1 says “Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

As Christians we must learn to live by the revelation of God in His Word and by His Holy Spirit. That’s called walking by faith and not by sight. When we walk by faith, all things are possible.

In Mark 8:23, Jesus said, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

So we have a choice to make. Do we live in this world with our sense knowledge and be restricted by what we see, or do we live in the realm of revelation knowledge by faith with God where all things are possible? The choice is ours.

Amongst us today there is the church of the Spirit those who worships God in Spirit and in truth and then there is the church of the flesh those who are taught by the flesh lies from the pits of hell including once saved always saved. Jesus told us that the wheat and the tares would grow together and He would separate them at the end. True Christians are led and taught by the Spirit. They hear and discern the voice of Jesus on a daily basis and serve him alone. They don't deny what God has not denied including apostles, prophets, miracles, healing and gifts of the Spirit. They see and experience the supernatural power of God in the now in the current time of life.

In the church of the Spirit the faith of the believers is not in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.  They preach not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power. They have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that they might know the things that have been freely given to them by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.  These spiritual ones judge all things yet they themselves are rightly judged by no one for they have the mind of Christ. Spiritual people eat the solid food of the Word of God - all of it.  They by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.  They understand that the kingdom of God is not in word but in power. They boast not in men but in God for all things are theirs; whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come-all are theirs. And they are Christ's, and Christ is God's

God’s word is unchanging:

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God,  To the saints who are in Ephesus, and faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.   Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,  just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,  having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,  to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved. Ephesians 1:1-6

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.  As it is written: "He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever." Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness,  while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. 2 Corinthians 9:8-11

Yes, we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, and we are now sons of God accepted in the Beloved, Yes through faith and the laws of sowing and reaping God is able to make all grace abound toward us, that we, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. And though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ ( 2 Corinthians 10:3-6). Yes, the prayer of faith will save the sick and bring forth prosperity and exaltation for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. God’s word is unchanging:

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.  And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.  Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.  Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.  And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit. James 5:13-18

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,  casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.  Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.  To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.  1Peter 5:5-11

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. 3 John 1:2-4

Over my life time I have been to many churches and have heard many sermons and they have been all lies. You cannot give to others what is not real to you. Preaching presumptions and half-truths that are not real to you are lies which only deceive people as you are not being real and cannot impart reality to others. You must experience and receive miracles yourself before you can talk about them and give them to others.  Most pastors live in the flesh and do things in the flesh such as being pedophiles or thieves or raping the women in their churches just like the sons of Eli! They are not overcomers but are overcome!

Jesus is Christ is the door to an open heaven so that we can boldly go to the throne of grace and receive from God whatever we need including the ministering of angels and the reality of the supernatural.  We live in the Laodiceans age where Christians are deaf, blind and dumb and are being led by deaf, blind and dumb pastors who don't see or hear the supernatural and cannot talk about it. They must hear the words of Jesus who told them:

"And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, '    These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. "So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.  "Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing'-and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked- "I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.  "As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." ' " Revelations 3:14-20

Yes, Christians must heed and do the words of Jesus and open the door to Him so that He can come in to them and dine with them and them with Him.  For only to him who overcomes He will grant to sit with him on His throne as He also overcame and sat down with His Father on His throne.  Just because you are a pastor you cannot add or remove things from the word of God as many of them do. They ignore the word of God that clearly tells them:

My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.  Indeed, we put bits in horses' mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires.  Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind.  But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.  With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.

Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh.   Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.  But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth.  This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3:1-18
