This
week I will be participating in a formal live TV debate vs Pastor Mark Fitzpatrick,
a cessationist. He will argue that in 1 Corinthians 13 Paul meant that gifts
will cease when the Bible was complete. I will disagree, saying they continue
until Jesus returns.
We
would both agree with the concept of Sola Scriptura, in other words the
sufficiency and finality of revelation found in the Bible and point to 2
Timothy 3:15-17:
The sacred writings, which are able to make
you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.All Scripture is breathed
out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for
training in righteousness, that the man
of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
But
I would see the following verse as describing something that fulfills a
different purpose to Scripture and is subservient to it:
“the one who prophesies speaks to people
for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation.” (1 Corinthains 14:3)

Cessationists
are demons from hell not Christians because they are liars and deceivers because God has given to the church of Jesus Christ
as long as it remains on earth the gifts of the Spirit and Jesus confirmed it
in Mark 16 of what true believers would do:
1
Corinthians 12:28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles,
second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings,
helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.
Liars
and deceivers do not go to heaven but to hell even if they are very sincere!

If
Pastor Mark Fitzpatrick had studied Greek well enough, he would be ashamed of
his position.
For
instance, In 1 Cor. 13: 10, where it is translated, “but when the perfect comes
the imperfect will pass away”, the Greek word here is “teleios” which means
“perfect or complete”. If the pastor knew Greek, he would have known that
Paul tells us exactly when the perfect will come in 1 Cor. 15: 24. The
Greek word here is “telos”. Both words describe when the things that Paul
was talking about. The end or perfect happens when the trumpet sound and
the resurrection of the dead happens. I get rather ticked off by these
would be preachers who do not know their Greek. Therefore, they
make themselves look rather ignorant when they are explaining Scripture.
They
are trying to get rid of the work of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2) which describes
the Day of Pentecost and the necessity for “the Baptism of Jesus” as He
empowers people today. He does not trust the Holy Spirit with the necessary
Baptism of the Holy Spirit and distributes the 15 ministry Gifts of the Holy
Spirit (Rom. 12: 6 – 8; 1 Cor. 12: 8 – 10). Their ignorance causes them
to blaspheme the Holy Spirit. These illiterate people condemn themselves
because James warns us, “Not many of you should be teachers, my brothers,
because you know that we who teach will be judged heavily judged” (Jas. 3:
1). “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks” (Matt. 12:
34). Pastor Mark Fitzpatrick has condemned himself along with all the
others who have taught such unscriptural nonsense. Please pass this on.

I HATE MODERN LOCAL CHURCHES! DID YOU KNOW THAT JESUS FIRST CHURCH WAS IN
HIS HOME WHERE THE MEN BROKE THE ROOF TO GET THEIR FRIEND TO JESUS SO HE COULD
HEAL THEM? AND ALL OF APOSTLE PAUL CHURCHES WERE HOME CHURCHES! I HAVE ENJOYED
HOME CHURCHES FAR MORE THAN ANY LOCAL CHURCH!

Many
Evangelicals uphold the idea that the local church should be an independent
body, which may ask for advice from outside, but is ultimately autonymous.
Local churches may be congregational, where all members voting is the ultimate
decision-making body, or elder-led, where the body of elders make spiritual
decisions. In both cases there will also be a board, often comprising of
elders. And in fact, the methods of government are more overlapping than you think.
In an elder-led church, the people will only ever be led by consent, and if
they strongly disagree, their vote will be counted as they leave and cancel
their financial giving. By the same token most healthy congregations who vote
will also surely be heavily influenced by the wisdom of their leaders.
