EXERCISE

EXERCISE YOUR RIGHTS :

He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. – Isaiah 53:5

Jesus came to earth and gave Himself as a sacrifice for sin in order to buy back for you everything that Adam lost. He came to destroy all the works of the devil ... sickness and disease included. Once you receive Him as Lord of your life, all the rights and privileges God originally intended you to have (the right to things like fellowship with God, health and prosperity) are restored.

But you are the one who has to exercise those rights!

You see, the devil is an outlaw and even though Jesus has taken away his authority in the earth, even though he has no legal right to kill or steal from the children of God, he'll do it anyway...as long as you'll let him get away with it.

You must enforce his defeat by speaking the Word of God in faith. Act on His Word now. Demand that sickness and disease leave you in the Name of Jesus. Then refuse to back off that demand. Resist the devil with all you've got. He might fight you for a while, but sooner or later, he will have to flee from you!

Some folks assume that money is evil. We know from the Bible that it's the 'love' of money that's the root of all evil, not money itself. Remember Jesus carried your sins, sickness and poverty on the Cross. If you choose to live under the addiction of sin and the oppression of sickness and poverty, that would be purely your personal choice. Holy living, healthy living and blessed life is your portion and Jesus paid the price for you to have them all. Nevertheless, we are called to live a life seeking God and His Kingdom. Nothing else is worth seeking after!

A POSSUM’S POSE

[The LORD] neither faints nor is weary. —Isaiah 40:28

Possums are known for their ability to play dead. When this happens, the possum’s body wilts, its tongue flops out, and its heart rate declines. After about 15 minutes, the animal revives. Interestingly, animal experts do not believe that possums purposefully play dead to evade predators. They faint involuntarily when they become overwhelmed and anxious!

King Saul had a similar response to danger at the end of his reign. Saul “fell full length on the ground, and was dreadfully afraid . . . . And there was no strength in him” (1 Sam. 28:20). He responded this way when the prophet Samuel told him that the Philistines would attack Israel on the next day, and that the Lord was not going to help him. Because Saul’s life had been characterized by disobedience, rashness, and jealousy, God was no longer guiding him (v.16), and his efforts to defend himself and the Israelites would be futile (v.19).

We may be in a place of weakness and despair because of our rebellion or because of the difficulties of life. Although anxiety can steal our strength, God can renew it as we lean on Him (Isa. 40:31). He “neither faints nor is weary” (v.28), and He is willing to reach down and revive us when we can’t take another step.

Jesus, You mean the world to me. You are my life and my all. I’m thankful for the strength that You give from day to day. I know that without You I am nothing.
The secret of peace is to give every anxious care to God.

Him we preach and proclaim, warning and admonishing everyone and instructing everyone in all wisdom (comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God), that we may present every person mature (full-grown, fully initiated, complete, and perfect) in Christ (the Anointed One). - Colossians 1:28 AMP

“Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the Lord!” (Isaiah 32:1).

Never trust in man or your own ability; trust in God only.

Every blessing, every need, every answer that you need, has already been provided at the cross when Jesus died!

EXERCISE DISCRETION :

'Discretion will preserve you.' Proverbs 2:11 NKJV

We've all said the wrong thing, at the wrong time, to the wrong person, and ended up regretting it. A pastor was being honoured at a retirement dinner, and a local politician had been asked to make a speech. The politician was running late so the pastor decided to say a few words: 'When I came here twenty-five years ago I thought this was a terrible church. The first man I talked to said he'd stolen, lied, embezzled, had an affair and done drugs. I was appalled. Then I realised everybody isn't like that; this church is filled with good people.' Just then the politician arrived and stood up to speak: 'I'll never forget the day the pastor arrived and I had the privilege of being the first church member to talk to him.' Loose lips sink ships! The Bible says: 'Discretion will preserve you.' Being discreet means having the ability to keep sensitive information private - including things you may have heard years ago! The writer of Proverbs said, 'He who is trustworthy conceals a matter' (Proverbs 11:13 NAS), and in the New Testament Paul cautions believers about discussing 'things not proper to mention.' (1 Timothy 5:13 NAS) Divulging what you know about other people's problems and failures may make you feel good momentarily, but afterwards it has a predictably negative impact on the relationship. Plus, you get a reputation as a person who can't be trusted. A wise man said, 'If your lips would keep from slips, five things observe with care: of whom you speak, to whom you speak, and how, and when, and where.' That's advice you would do well to pay attention to!

GOD FAVORS YOU BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU …

1 John 4:19 - We love Him because He first loved us.

Have you ever found yourself receiving such exceeding favor that you wonder why? My friend, it is because God is lavishing His grace unearned, undeserved, unmerited favoron you. And He does it because He loves you.

I love reading the Old Testament story of Ruth, a young Moabite widow, because it speaks of Gods amazing grace. The moment Ruth depended on Gods grace or favor, she had full access to His blessings. Of all the fields in Bethlehem, His grace led her to the field that belonged to Boaz, who was not only a wealthy bachelor, but also a relative of her father-in-law. (Ruth 2:3) Boaz was therefore her potential kinsman-redeemersomeone who could redeem her from her plight as a poor and childless widow.

Boaz favored Ruth from the moment he laid eyes on her. Ruth was not even a Jew, yet he cared for her safety by telling her not to glean in another field and to stay close to his young women. He even commanded the young men working for him not to touch her and to allow her to drink the water which they had drawn.

During mealtimes, he sat her beside the reapers although she was just a lowly gleaner who picked up what they had missed or dropped. On top of that, he gave her parched grain, making sure that she ate and was satisfied, and that she had leftovers to bring back to her mother-in-law. (Ruth 2:118)

Ruth simply believed that she would find favor in the field and God placed her at the right place at the right time, so that He could open a big door of blessings to her.

Do you know that Boaz is a beautiful picture of our Lord Jesus? The Bible says that He first loved us. Jesus saw you and loved you first, long before you knew Him or loved Him. And He favors whom He loves.

Beloved, there is no need to fight or strive to qualify for Gods favor and blessings. His favor is all over you because He first loved you. Just trust in His love for you and you will see His favor bringing an abundance of blessings into your life!
