OVERFLOWING

DON'T BE DISTURBED ….

The Lord bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. – Psalm 33:10

You may be facing trouble today that's being caused by people who have willfully plotted to do you harm. They may be trying to steal your business, your home, your children, or even to destroy your marriage. If so, I have a word of encouragement for you. According to Psalm 33:10, God will bring the plans of those people to nought. He will make their devices of none effect. The counsel of the heathen is brought to nought, but the counsel of the Lord stands forever!

Remember this: When you make God your stronghold in the time of trouble, no one can overcome you. No matter how powerful they are in the natural, the odds are in your favor because you trust in the Lord. They may think they've got an edge over you, but God is on your side and that gives you the advantage!

Rest assured, you are eventually going to triumph over this trouble. In the meantime, if you'll set your affections on the Lord, the thoughts of His heart continually will be coming into your heart. "The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide" (Ps. 37:30-31). God's counsel will give you stability when all the world around you is shaking. Evil tidings will not be able to steal your peace. The thoughts of God will immediately rise up and rebuke the evil tidings from taking root
in your heart.

Don't let the temporary successes of the troublemaker disturb you. Instead, "mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace" (verse 37).

BORN TO RESCUE

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many. —Mark 10:45

After the terrorist attack and the collapse of the Twin Towers in New York City on September 11, 2001, Cynthia Otto took care of the search-and-rescue dogs. Years later she established a Working Dog Center where young pups are put through specialized training to prepare them to help victims of disaster.

Otto made this comment about these rescue animals: “There are so many jobs now that dogs are being used for . . . and they can save lives.” Otto said that these puppies will one day give vital aid to people in life-threatening circumstances. They are “born” to rescue others.

The Bible tells us of the Messiah who was born to rescue humanity from the penalty of sin. What He did rises above all earthly comparison. Two thousand years ago, God Himself became human in order to do for us what we could not do for ourselves. When Jesus became a man, He understood and proclaimed that He was born to rescue (John 12:27). “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45).

Let us praise our wonderful Savior—Jesus Christ—who was born to save all who will accept His offer of salvation.

Use us, Lord, and make us humble,
Rescue us from foolish pride;
And when we begin to stumble,
Turn our thoughts to Christ who died.

Christ came to seek and to save the lost.

NOTHING WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE …

...now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. - Genesis 11:6 KJV

In the Old Testament, the people were trying to build a tower to the heavens. The scripture says, “Nothing they imagined was impossible to them.” Their imagination was so powerful that God had to send confusion to keep them from accomplishing something for the wrong purpose.

That same principle is true today. If we can get our imagination working for the right purpose, if we will let God paint a new picture on the canvas of our heart and see ourselves as He sees us — strong, healthy, victorious — then we can rise higher and accomplish everything He’s put in our heart. It may look impossible, but if you can imagine it, if you can see it through your eyes of faith, God is saying, “Nothing will be impossible to you.” That means you can overcome addictions by forming a new image on the inside. You can break generational curses by creating the right pictures in your imagination. You can go further than you ever thought possible if you’ll keep the right vision in front of you!

“For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere” (Ephesians 6:12, AMP).

The enemy often approaches with deceitful tactics and strategies. His goal is to ultimately ruin our lives in subtle ways. However, he is a defeated foe. Jesus has guaranteed our victory in spiritual warfare. We fight from victory, not for victory.

'LORD, WHERE ARE YOU?' (2) :

'He will bring justice if you will only wait.' Job 35:14 NLT

Have you ever tried to sit and watch a seed sprout? You can't, can you? It stays in the ground until the time is right for it to emerge. There's a lesson here. God has planted certain things within you, and you must wait for them to take root and grow. And the unresolved issues of your past can undermine this process. Often it takes prayer and counselling to bring these issues to the surface so that you can effectively deal with them. With God, a delay is not a denial. When speaking to Job, his friend Elihu said, 'It is wrong to say God doesn't listen, to say the Almighty isn't concerned. You say you can't see Him, but He will bring justice if you will only wait.' (Job 35:13-14 NLT) What great advice! Charles Trumbull said, 'God knows when to withhold or grant visible signs of encouragement. It's good when He sends confirmation, but we grow faster when we've trusted Him without it. Those who do, always receive the greatest visible evidence of His love.' God answers every prayer; it's just that across some He writes, 'The time is not right yet.' Job asks, 'How long will this trial last? Why doesn't God answer?' Because it takes as long as it takes - and usually feels uncomfortable the whole time. But there's good news. Eventually your prayers become less about getting answers and more about connecting with God. By letting Him work: (1) you begin to realise that He is with you; (2) you develop a deeper level of intimacy with Him; (3) you discover you can trust Him for the entire trip.

GIVE GODS WORD PRIORITY AND SEE GOOD SUCCESS ...

Joshua 1:8 - This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

In life, there is good success and bad success. Bad success is the kind of success which robs you of time with your family, friends and church, and destroys your health and relationships. With good success, on the other hand, you see prosperity in every area of your life.

God wants you to enjoy good success and the key to this lies in what God told Joshua when he took over the reins following the death of his leader Moses. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Spending time in Gods Word daily will give you godly wisdom, which will make your way prosperous and give you good success.

Look at how Joshuas life turned out in the end. When Joshua died, they buried him within the border of his inheritance at Timnath Serah, which is in the mountains of Ephraim, on the north side of Mount Gaash. (Joshua 24:30) Joshua had a whole mountain for his inheritance! This means that he was prosperous and successful!

It was also said that Israel served the Lord, not idols or other gods, all the days of Joshuas life. (Joshua 24:31) This means that while Joshua was around, people were impacted for Gods glory.

And at the end of his life, a fulfilled Joshua had this to say, But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:15) Having your family loving God and serving Him with you is the most important success and greatest prosperity that you can ever have.

Beloved, when Gods Word takes priority in your daily life, not only will your finances be blessed, your ministry and family life will also be blessed!

Proclamation for the Favor of God:

Heavenly Father, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, I come before You today as Your child seeking Your divine favor.

Lord God, Your favor surrounds the righteous. In faith believing, I receive the favor of God now in every dimension of my life. Let the favor of God rest upon every member of my family. Let Your favor rest upon our health, our finances, and our relationships.

Lord God, from this day forward I am going to receive the limitless favor of God-supernatural increase, promotion, restoration, honor, spiritual victories, petitions granted, and battles won that I don’t have to fight. The favor of God is upon me; it goes before me, and therefore, my life will never be the same. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
