GOD MAKES ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD ...
Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
In this verse, “all things” is literally all things—the good, the bad and the ugly! Now, it does not mean that all things are from God. Some things, such as accidents, sicknesses, broken relationships and divorces are not from Him. They are from the devil or just part of the fallen world that we live in. But what this verse does tell us is that “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose”. That is our inheritance as God’s beloved children.
Do the people of the world have this inheritance? No. When bad things happen to them, they are what they are—bad things. But when bad things happen to the children of God, it does not end there. God can make those bad things work together for good. In other words, the devil may throw lemons at you, but God can take those lemons and make refreshing lemonade for you!
For example, if you have been retrenched, believe that God, who makes all things work together for good, has a better job for you. Indeed, we have received testimonies from church members who have ended up with better jobs and higher salaries after they were retrenched.
It is important you remember that God is not behind anything bad or ugly. But when those things happen, know that He can make all things work together for good. And don’t let anyone tell you that all things will work together for good only if you love God and are called according to His purpose. These two things are not conditions but descriptions of believers. Believers are those who love God because they know that God first loved them. (1 John 4:19) And they are called according to His purpose for they have been born again and belong to Him.
My friend, because you have been born again, all things in your life will work together for good. This is your inheritance as a beloved child of God!

GET YOUR JOY BACK!
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus - 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18, NIV
Did you know that it is God’s will for you to be joyful always? He wants you to be happy and carefree. He wants you to love your life no matter what your circumstances look like. In fact, when you have joy in the midst of difficult circumstances, that is evidence that you have faith and trust that God will bring you through.
Joy is strength. When you have His supernatural joy, you can stand strong no matter what’s going on around you. You might say, “I’m just not a real jovial person. I’m more serious. I never laugh much.” And of course, God made us all differently, but you can train yourself to laugh more. One article said that the average child laughs over 200 times a day, but the average adult only laughs 4 times a day. What’s happened? We have allowed the pressures of life, stress and more responsibilities, little by little, to steal our joy.
Make the decision today to get your joy back! Decide that you are going to look beyond your problems and look at what God will do on your behalf. Ask Him every day to fill you with His supernatural peace and joy so that you can live in His strength and victory all the days of your life!
‘DADDY!’
…you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” - Romans 8:15, NASB
The Lord told me once that walking in His blessings was a matter of spirit—walking in the spirit of sonship. And beloved, this is how the spirit of sonship operates—by us turning to God and crying out, “Abba, Daddy!” like little children.
Today, I want to encourage you to call upon God with the greatest sense of intimacy. Call Him Daddy, Papa or Abba and just speak to Him right from your heart.
When the going gets tough, go somewhere quiet and talk to Him. Say, “Daddy, I want to tell you about this problem at work that I am facing.” If you have a sickness in your body and you need healing, come to your Father and say, “Daddy, Daddy, I need to hear Your words of life and promises of healing for this condition.” Let me tell you, He will surely speak to you!
When you feel so overwhelmed that you don’t know what to pray, just call out to your Daddy God—“Daddy God! Daddy God!” It bypasses legalistic rituals and brings you straight into the arms of your heavenly Father. The more we cry out, “Daddy God,” the more we will begin to sense the love of our Father and His strong, comforting arms. We don’t have to struggle for faith anymore. Faith just begins to rise in our hearts, along with a quiet confidence that Daddy God is going to either neutralize the attacks of the enemy or make everything work for our good.
Beloved, don’t be afraid to exercise the Spirit of sonship. Call on your Daddy God like a little child and experience His embrace, protection, deliverance and provision today!
WHERE'S YOUR FOCUS?
Matthew 27:4 "Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that."
These Jews, who had courted Judas' favor to obtain his cooperation in arresting Jesus, cared nothing for Judas. They had simply used him. The devil's crowd may flatter as long as they can use you, but you can be assured that when there is no longer anything in it for them, they will forsake you just as the chief priests did Judas.
The serpent didn't come to Eve in the garden threatening to bite her if she didn't eat of the forbidden fruit. Instead, he came with deception, presenting himself as being concerned for her welfare. Satan's greatest weapon is deceit.
Just as a football player, a boxer, or military man's success depends partly on how well he knows his opponent(s), so believers must not be ignorant of Satan's devices. Jesus stripped Satan of all his authority (Mt. 28:18). The power that Satan uses against us now, is deception. Those who ascribe other powers to him have already fallen prey to one of his lies. The devil deceives us and uses our own power and authority against us. The thing that makes deception so deadly is that those who are deceived don't know it. Once they realize they are deceived, they aren't deceived any more.
The best defense against the devil is to be so God-centered that you give no place to Satan. People who are very sensitive to the devil's presence usually are so at the expense of being sensitive to the Lord's presence. David said, "If I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there" (Ps. 139:8). Anytime Satan's oppression is present, God's presence is there too (Heb. 13:5). It's just a matter of where our focus is. Focusing on the devil is a trick of the devil. Choose to focus on God.
GOD LOVES YOU NOT BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU DO, BUT BECAUSE OF WHO HE IS . . .
God is love (1 John 4:8). God doesn't have to pretend to love you; He can't not love you, because He is love.
In fact, the very actions of God exemplify what love is. The apostle John explains that this is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us (1 John 3:16). Only a few verses later, he further defines love: This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins (1 John 4:9).
Notice that God's love for you is independent of how you behave, who you are, or how you respond to that love.
Romans 5:6-8 reminds us that God loves us regardless of where we are: You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Jesus represents God's love for us in what we now call the Parable of the Prodigal Son (see Luke 15:11-24). In that allegory, the father openly and lovingly receives his son even though the son had run away, squandered all of his money, and insulted the father. In the same way, God loves us unconditionally.
There is nothing you can do to get God to love you -- He already does. There is nothing you can do to deserve God's love, because, by sinning, you have turned your back on God and are fundamentally no different than the prodigal son. That parable is a clear reminder that God loves you not because of what you do, but because of who He is.
WRATH AND LOVE FUSE ON THE CROSS . . .
God is a just and righteous God -- perfect (see Deuteronomy 32:4). God, therefore, can not let imperfect, sinful humans into his presence. In his justice, God gives every person the fair penalty for his or her sin -- eternal separation from the holy God.
God is also a God of wrath -- holy wrath against sin. As Romans 1:18 says, The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness. That wrath is against all who have sinned.
However, God is also a loving God (1 John 4:8). Indeed, God demonstrated his self-giving love for us by sending Jesus Christ to die for us (Romans 5:8).
These two key attributes of God -- holy wrath and love -- fuse on the Cross. For that's where God shows his love by satisfying his holy wrath in order to provide a path for sinful humans to know the holy God.
