JESUS ALWAYS HAS TIME FOR YOU

“I am…the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” - Revelation 1:8

In spite of our best intentions, we often find ourselves too busy to do what we’d like to for people. We may be bound by time, but Jesus, the one who created time, is not. He always has time for each one of us!

Even in His earthly ministry, in His limited form as Man, He always had time to minister to people. Consider a typical day in His ministry: When a severely demon-possessed man cried out from the tombs of a distant region, He had time to sail all the way from Galilee to the country of the Gadarenes to save that lonely, tormented man. On the way there, He had time to respond to the cries of His disciples when a fierce storm arose. He awoke from a much-deserved sleep and calmed the storm for them.

After He saved the demonized man and returned to Galilee, another man, Jairus, came to him for help. Jairus’ 12-year-old daughter was dying and he begged Jesus to come to his house to heal her. Jesus agreed—He had time. But on His way there, a woman with a 12-year bleeding condition touched the hem of His garment and received her healing. Though Jairus’ daughter was in the throes of death, Jesus had time to find out who had touched Him, just so that He could minister to the woman.

While Jesus was ministering to her, He received a death report concerning Jairus’ daughter. Now, in the natural, Jesus was “too late.” Yet, He did not consider it a waste of time to encourage Jairus, “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well” (Luke 8:49–50). He wasn’t troubled or harried. He still took time to go to Jairus’ house and raised the little girl from the dead.

My friend, this same loving Jesus always has time for you. He hears your cries, cares about the little and big things that bother you, and will come and save you. Even when He’s “busy,” He has time to stop and minister to you. And even when it seems “too late,” He will still see to it that you get your miracle!

GOD KNOWS YOU INTIMATELY

Matthew 10:30 - But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

As much as I love my wife and daughter, I have never bothered to count the number of hairs on their heads. I don’t have the time to do so and I doubt I will ever want to.

Every day, your hair drops. Yet, God knows how many hairs are left on your head. And He also knows how many are growing back! He knows because He bothers to count them again. When it comes to you, He always has time for every little thing about you.

So when Jesus said, “But the very hairs of your head are all numbered,” He was not exaggerating. He never exaggerates. He means what He says and He says what He means. So for the Lord to say that the very hairs of your head are all numbered means that He wants you to know that He is very interested in you and has intimate knowledge about you—your body, family, finances, relationships…everything in your life!

He knows the pain you have been having in your body. He is aware of the financial worry which you have been keeping from your family. He sees how your nasty boss is treating you. He understands the hurts you have been keeping in your heart. He hears your heart’s cry for a miracle baby.

Your heavenly Father wants you to know that as long as something concerns you, He does not overlook it, even if it is about your pet, as a church member found out. She panicked when she first discovered that her pet terrapin had gone blind. Then, remembering my messages on confessing healing for our bodies, she did the same for her pet! Three months later, the terrapin’s eyes were wide open and able to see!

God knows you intimately. He knows every small problem you are worried about and every single burden you have. And when you approach Him for help, He has all the time for you as if no one else exists. That is how valuable you are to Him and how absorbed He is in you!

FIGHT FOR YOUR MARRIAGE (1)

'Unless the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain who build it.' Psalm 127:1 NKJV

It’s easy to remember where and when you got married, but sometimes what escapes you is why. God created Eve because unlike the rest of His creation Adam had no mate; he was incomplete. So if one of the purposes of marriage is closeness, the enemy of marriage is distance. But problems arise when you expect your spouse to meetevery need you’ve got. Only God can do that! A man asked his friend, ‘How come you never got married?’ He replied, ‘Because I was looking for the ideal woman.’ ‘And you never found her?’ his friend asked. ‘Yes, of course, but just my luck—she was looking for the ideal man.’ Hello!

The Bible says, ‘Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her.’ (Ephesians 5:25 NKJV) Can a marriage ever be perfect? No, but when two people make up their minds to give themselves fully to one another, they can come pretty close. In a survey of thousands of married couples, here are ten reasons why people said they were unhappy:

(1) They didn’t think alike in many areas.
(2) They had little insight into each other’s feelings.
(3) They said hurtful things to one other.
(4) They felt unloved.
(5) They felt taken for granted.
(6) They lacked someone to confide in.
(7) Each spouse felt he or she was giving more than the other.
(8) They rarely complimented each other.
(9) They desired more affection.
(10) They couldn’t talk to each other.

Since God performed the first marriage, talking to Him about yours would be a good place to start.

 REMAIN IN HIM ...

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. - John 15:7, NIV

In life, we all have ups and downs. This time of year can be especially trying for some. There are seasons that are more difficult when our character is being developed and our faith in God is being strengthened. Sometimes it can feel like you are taking two steps forward and three steps backward. If we’re not careful, we’ll start thinking that life is always going to be this way.

God doesn’t want us to live life like a roller coaster. He wants to bring us to a place of stability so we can remain strong in Him. Jesus said, “I am the vine. You are the branches. If you abide in me, you will bear much fruit and your fruit will remain.” The word “remain” means “to be fixed, immovable, not affected by circumstances.” In other words, if you will just keep abiding in Him, just keep meditating on His Word, He’ll bring you through. He’ll make you strong; He’ll keep you stable, and you’ll embrace the life of blessing He has prepared for you!

LOSING OUR WAY

The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness. —1 Timothy 6:10

An online survey conducted by a New York law firm reveals that 52 percent of Wall Street traders, brokers, investment bankers, and other financial service professionals have either engaged in illegal activity or believe they may need to do so in order to be successful. The survey concludes that these financial leaders “have lost their moral compass” and “accept corporate wrongdoing as a necessary evil.”

In mentoring young Timothy, the apostle Paul warned that the love of money and the desire to get rich had caused some to lose their way. They had yielded to temptations and embraced many “foolish and harmful” desires (1 Tim. 6:9). Paul saw “the love of money” (not money itself) as a source of “all kinds of evil” (v.10), especially the evil of trusting in money rather than depending on Christ.

As we learn to see that Christ is the source of all we have, we will find contentment in Him rather than in material possessions. When we seek godliness rather than riches, we will gain a desire to be faithful with what we have been given.

Let’s deliberately cultivate an attitude of contentment in God, and faithfully submit to Him, for our Provider will care for us.

Father, it’s easy to see the problem that others have with loving money. But I know I have my own struggles too. I need Your help to learn thankfulness for all that You have given. Grow in me an attitude of contentment in You.

To love money is to lose sight of the Source of life.

RELIGIOUS PRIDE BRINGS DISSENSION ...

Mark 15:10 "For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy."

The Jews were God's chosen people and therefore, God's representatives on earth. Yet, they lied and condemned an innocent man to death. Pilate could see that their real motivation for wanting Jesus dead was envy. They were doing all their religious works to be seen of men, and were upset that Jesus was getting more recognition than they were. If these Jews would have thought about what type of witness they were giving, even they would have known that their actions were not inspired by God.

We should remember that we are God's witnesses on earth, or as Paul said, "We are epistles... known and read of all men" (2 Cor. 3:2). Judging our actions in the light of, "What kind of witness will this give to others?" will help us discern whether or not we are being led of God.

The chief priests had deceived themselves and other religious people into believing that they were condemning Jesus for godly reasons, but even an ungodly ruler like Pilate could see through their lies. Religious bondage blinds people to the truth even more than sin does.

These rulers wanted to retain their power and authority, so they fought against the power and authority of Jesus. This is still the same today. Men use doctrinal issues to disguise the real issue. The truth is that, "Only by pride cometh contention" (Prov. 13:10). People who love to have the preeminence (3 Jn. 9) are usually the instigators of persecution.
