DO IT

 SET YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER

Isaiah 38: 1 In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, "Thus says the LORD: 'Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.' " 2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the LORD, 3 and said, "Remember now, O LORD, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what is good in Your sight." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.4 And the word of the LORD came to Isaiah, saying,5 "Go and tell Hezekiah, 'Thus says the LORD, the God of David your father: "I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will add to your days fifteen years. 6 I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city." '

Spinning your tires and going nowhere doesn’t accomplish much? And similarly a life that is built devoid of prayer will not produce things of lasting value! When King Hezekiah  was sick and near death,  Isaiah the prophet,   went to him and said to him, "Thus says the LORD: 'Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.' " And what did Hezekiah do? Did he say I have lived a good and successful life and it’s my turn to die so if it is God’s will so be it? Of course not! He turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the LORD,  and said, "  Remember now, O LORD, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what is good in Your sight." And he also  wept bitterly. He unlike most Christians didn’t accept the negative word that was prophesied but went right to the King and God of the universe and protested about what was told to him. As a result God heard his prayer,   seen his tears   added fifteen years to his life, and promised to deal with His strong enemy the Sennacherib ,king of Assyria.

So contrary to what most idiots teach and preach, nothing negative in life including sickness, poverty, failure and death, are untouchable or unchangeable. Trusting and believing faith in God can and will change everything but it starts with prayer for Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes" (Mark 9:23). Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them (Mark 11:24). God’s word is unchanging:

Mark 1:35 Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. 36    And Simon and those who were with Him searched for Him. 37 When they found Him, they said to Him, "Everyone is looking for You." 38 But He said to them, "Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth."39 And He was preaching in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and casting out demons.

John 10:16 And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.

John 10:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

Jesus who had a very active, successful and busy ministry started and ended each day with prayer.   He heard from the Father His instructions for the day. And when Simon and those who were with Him searched for Him and found Him, they said to Him, "Everyone is looking for You."  But He said to them, "Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth." And He was preaching in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and casting out demons.

Now through the Baptism of the Spirit which Jesus gives each Christian can pray in the Spirit, hear God’s voice, take orders for Him, preach the good news of the gospel and cast out demons! God’s word is unchanging:

Mark 16: 14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

Acts 1: 4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, "which," He said, "you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now." 6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, "Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?" 7 And He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

Acts  4:29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus." 31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

Acts 8: 4 Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word. 5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. 6 And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. 7 For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. 8 And there was great joy in that city..
