GOD'S WORD

God’s Word

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. Mark 13:31

By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible Hebrews 11:3

The winds of change are sweeping the land and blowing away the dross and gathering in the wheat.  Men proposes but God disposes. He is the deciding factor in any circumstance of life and no other. His Word stands truer than any opinion or philosophy of man. God’s word states:

"Prepare the way of the LORD;  Make straight in the desert  A highway for our God.  Every valley shall be exalted  And every mountain and hill brought low;  The crooked places shall be made straight  And the rough places smooth;  The glory of the LORD shall be revealed,  And all flesh shall see it together;  For the mouth of the LORD has spoken."   The voice said, "Cry out!"

And he said, "What shall I cry?"  "All flesh is grass,  And all its loveliness is like the flower of the field. The grass withers, the flower fades,  Because the breath of the LORD blows upon it;  Surely the people are grass.  The grass withers, the flower fades,  But the word of our God stands forever." Isaiah 40:2-8

Man is like the grass of the field here today and gone tomorrow when the breath of the Lord blows on it. But God’s word stands for ever.

Man is full of pride and self-worth forgetting his greater gain and asset is in his humility before his Creator. As he does not see this as he ought does not excuse him for suffering the consequences of his decisions. He must pay the price for his narrow view, self elevation and personal gratification. He desires to have blinders on so he can’t see what God desires him to do and feels because he didn’t see it he is excused from paying for the consequences of his ignorance. God’s word states:

Dishonest scales are an abomination to the LORD,  But a just weight is His delight.  When pride comes, then comes shame;  But with the humble is wisdom. The integrity of the upright will guide them,  But the perversity of the unfaithful will destroy them. Riches do not profit in the day of wrath,  But righteousness delivers from death.

The righteousness of the blameless will direct his way aright,  But the wicked will fall by his own wickedness.  The righteousness of the upright will deliver them,  But the unfaithful will be caught by their lust. When a wicked man dies, his expectation will perish, And the hope of the unjust perishes. The righteous is delivered from trouble, And it comes to the wicked instead. Proverbs 11:1-8

God loves justice and equity and He hates pride and perversity. He loves wisdom, humility, righteousness and faithfulness. Pride and lust brings many down even God’s servants. But God  delivers the righteous from trouble and it comes to the wicked instead.  For God’s word is true and He above all does not lie and is Mr. Integrity. As a result God’s word states:

Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you! Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten.  Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days.  Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.  You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury; you have fattened your hearts as in a day of slaughter. You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you.

Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door! My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience. Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord-that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful. James 5:1-11

Riches do not profit one in the day of God’s wrath but patients and endurance and trust in God brings a great reward from the Lord who is very compassionate and merciful. For God’s word states:

If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?  The LORD is in His holy temple,   The LORD'S throne is in heaven;  His eyes behold,  His eyelids test the sons of men.  The LORD tests the righteous,  But the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.  Upon the wicked He will rain coals;  Fire and brimstone and a burning wind  Shall be the portion of their cup.  For the LORD is righteous,  He loves righteousness;  His countenance beholds the upright. Psalm 11:3-7

The :Lord is righteous and He loves righteousness and His eyes are upon the righteous and His ears are open to their cries. The Lord knows what He is doing even when sometimes it doesn’t make sense to man at all. Even at times when it appears that the devil is in charge more than God. But that is not true for Jesus Christ is Lord and He is in charge all the time. God’s word states:

As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven;  He is a shield to all who trust in Him. For who is God, except the LORD?  And who is a rock, except our God? It is God who arms me with strength,  And makes my way perfect.  He makes my feet like the feet of deer,  And sets me on my high places.  He teaches my hands to make war,  So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.  You have also given me the shield of Your salvation;  Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great. Psalm 18:30-35

For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom is from generation to generation.  All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing;  He does according to His will in the army of heaven  And among the inhabitants of the earth.  No one can restrain His hand  Or say to Him, "What have You done?"  Daniel 4:34-35

As for God His way is perfect and His dominion is an everlasting one. His kingdom is from generation to generation and not one can restrain His hands once He does according to His will. His word is true even this day that He, not others, rules in the kingdom of men. While men propose God disposes and He sets one up and puts another down.

'This decision is by the decree of the watchers,  And the sentence by the word of the holy ones,  In order that the living may know  That the Most High rules in the kingdom of men,

Gives it to whomever He will,  And sets over it the lowest of men.' Daniel 4:17

this is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the Most High, which has come upon my lord the king: They shall drive you from men, your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make you eat grass like oxen. They shall wet you with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over you, till you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He chooses.

And inasmuch as they gave the command to leave the stump and roots of the tree, your kingdom shall be assured to you, after you come to know that Heaven rules. Therefore, O king, let my advice be acceptable to you; break off your sins by being righteous, and your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor. Perhaps there may be a lengthening of your prosperity." Daniel 4:24-27

Wise Daniel filled with the Spirit of the Living God told the mighty King Nebuchadnezzar to break off his sins by being righteous and his iniquities by show mercy to the poor so that there might be a lengthening of his prosperity. But the King did not listen to God’s word and prophets  and all of  this came upon King Nebuchadnezzar. God’s word records:

At the end of the twelve months he was walking about the royal palace of Babylon. The king spoke, saying, "Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for a royal dwelling by my mighty power and for the honor of my majesty?"

While the word was still in the king's mouth, a voice fell from heaven: "King Nebuchadnezzar, to you it is spoken: the kingdom has departed from you! And they shall drive you from men, and your dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field. They shall make you eat grass like oxen; and seven times shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever He chooses."

That very hour the word was fulfilled concerning Nebuchadnezzar; he was driven from men and ate grass like oxen; his body was wet with the dew of heaven till his hair had grown like eagles' feathers and his nails like birds' claws. And at the end of the time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever: Daniel 4:29-34

Judgment delayed in not judgment denied. It just means God is waiting for His people and others to repent from their sins and iniquities and bring fruits worthy of repentance.

Otherwise they will pay a terrible price even the lost of the lives. Some thing which did happened to King Belshazzar  his son, who did not humble his heart although he knew of what had happened to his father King Nebuchadnezzar. How he was driven from the sons of men, his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys.

Others fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men, and appoints over it whomever He chooses. But Belshazzar nevertheless lifted himself up against the Lord of heaven in his pride and paid with his life and the loss of his kingdom.

It does not pay to ignore God and not heed His voice and that of His servants the prophets. For God’s word will stand over the opinions and thoughts and ideas of men no matter who they are even mighty kings even in the house of God. For God’s word is evermore true:

"In this manner, therefore, pray:  Our Father in heaven,  Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come.  Your will be done  On earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts,  As we forgive our debtors.  And do not lead us into temptation,  But deliver us from the evil one.  For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Matthew 6:9-13
