LOVE YOU

Your Broken Heart Can Be Healed

Many people are walking through life with a broken heart. Although they hide it well, behind the smiles and social activities, deep inside there are open wounds and pain from the past.

What causes a heart to be broken? What causes a person to hide the pain deep within? The answer to this question is both simple and complex at the same time, but usually involves rejection, unfaithfulness, lies, and betrayal by a trusted friend or loved one.

Years ago, a young couple was separated because their parents felt they were not good for each other, and through the years the pain of the separation never went away.

Another lady discovered that her husband was living with another woman on his sales trips.

A young girl, sexually abused by a family member, kept that secret through decades. As an adult, she was not able to respond to her husband correctly because of the abuse that she kept hidden away in her heart.

All of these people and others like them are living their lives each day hiding the hurt, masking the pain, and not living life to its fullest because of a broken, hurting, abused heart.

When Jesus was in Nazareth, He said that God had sent Him to heal the brokenhearted and to proclaim liberty to the captives. (Luke 4:18.) If this is true, then why are there so many Christians living with broken hearts?

Everything in the Word of God must be received by faith. Faith is simply believing that God has done everything He said He would do and believing it so completely that everything we say and everything we do is based upon that belief. According to the Bible, we only receive what we believe.

Many retain their broken heart because they have given up hope that their heart could ever be healed, or they have tried using the world's methods with negative results. Psychology in its proper perspective can help, but only the power of God can completely cure.

The truth is Jesus has already paid the price. He has already done everything that needs to be done for your heart to be healed. It doesn't matter who has wronged you. It doesn't matter who has lied to you. Regardless of the physical, verbal, or emotional abuse that you have received in your life, the good news is that Jesus has paid the price for your freedom. Jesus has done everything that needs to be done for your broken heart to be healed and for you to no longer be held captive by the problems of the past, but to walk free, from this day forward, in victory.

How can this happen? Actually, it is so simple that most people miss it. In the same way that Jesus paid the price for our salvation, Jesus paid the price for our emotional freedom. In order for you to have everlasting life, there is nothing that you need to do except to receive the gift that He has already paid for. He died on the cross. God raised Him from the dead. And when you believe that, speak it, receive it, and confess Him publicly, you have been born again. In the same way, He has paid the price for your broken heart to be healed.

When Jesus was talking to His disciples, He told them that if they would continue in His teachings and believe them that they would come to a knowledge of the truth and when they received this truth, they would be set free. (John 8:31-32). The truth is this. You can have a heart full of joy and happiness. You can live in peace without regret or feeling the pain of the past. You can awake every day knowing that the freshness of life is before you and the blessing of God is on your life.

You may say, "Is this possible for me?" The answer is yes, it is possible, but it's not possible for everyone. It's only possible for those who will believe and receive.

So I have this good news for you. If you woke up today with a heart that was broken, you can go to sleep tonight with a heart that is healed. The decision is yours. Believe and receive what Jesus has done for you. Confess it and it's yours.

Jesus said, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes" (Mark 9:23).

SPEAK BLESSINGS OVER YOUR FAMILY :
For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield. - Psalm 5:12

What do you believe and say to your loved ones every day? For orthodox Jews, on Friday evenings in their homes, the father lays his hands on his children and pronounces God’s blessings over them. No wonder Jewish children grow up to be winners in the fight of life! They become some of the world’s greatest inventors, bankers, musicians and entertainers.

Although a minority race, the Jews have produced the most number of Nobel Prize winners. I believe that it is because they bless their children in the same way the patriarchs of the Old Testament did. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob released God’s blessings upon their children by laying hands on them and speaking forth the blessings. (Genesis 27:27–29, 38–40; 48:14–16)

In the New Testament, the apostles pronounced blessings over the churches they were preaching to. To the church in Philippi, Paul declared, “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19) John released a powerful blessing upon Gaius when he said, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” (3 John 1:2)

Even Jesus pronounced a blessing of deliverance on the daughter of the Syro-Phoenician woman — “go your way; the demon has gone out of your daughter”. (Mark 7:29) This was a blessing of deliverance by proxy. The woman took it by faith and found that her daughter was well when she reached home. (Mark 7:30) Likewise, the centurion took the blessing by faith and healing came upon his servant back home. (Matthew 8:8–13)

The parents of a little girl did the same thing while worshiping in our church. Their daughter was in hospital in the final stages of cancer. When I pronounced the blessing of healing that Sunday, they received it and pronounced it over their daughter. She was soon discharged from the hospital healed!

My friend, bless your loved ones. Declare over them, “The Lord blesses you and surrounds you with His favor as with a shield.” Speak forth your own blessings by declaring, “Thank You Lord, You prosper me and I am in excellent health!”

Thought For The Day :
Pronounce God’s blessings over your children and they will grow up to be winners in the fight of life.

I CAN :
...With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. - Matthew 19:26, NKJV

When was the last time you declared out loud “I can”? It’s not something people think to do every day. In fact, most people tend to magnify their limitations. They focus on their shortcomings. But scripture makes it plain: all things are possible to those who believe. That’s right! It is possible to see your dreams fulfilled. It is possible to overcome that obstacle. It is possible to climb to new heights. It is possible to embrace your destiny. You may not know how it will all take place. You may not have a plan, but all you have to know is that if God said that you can...you can!

Today, why don’t you begin to open yourself up to the possibility in your future by simply declaring this verse, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength?” At the stoplight, when you’re waiting in line, anytime you have a second, just quote this verse to yourself again. Let it sink down deeply into your heart. As you do, His word will transform you. Faith will rise up in your heart and will boldly embrace the blessings that He has in store for you!

GOD’S LOVE MAKES YOU STRONG :

EPHESIANS 3:19 - … know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

If you were to thank God for something today, what would it be? For me, it would be thanking God for giving me Jesus. For when I see Jesus on the cross, I see the love of God overcoming everything for me. It causes me to say, “Thank you, Jesus! I love you, Jesus! I worship you, Jesus! Bless you, Jesus! Hallelujah!”

And as we worship and celebrate the love of Jesus in our lives, we will find ourselves changed, and we will see the mighty power of God displayed for us and through us.

This was the case in the life of David. His personal times of worship, of being absorbed in God’s love for him, changed him from a mere shepherd boy to a lion killer, bear killer, giant killer and finally, a king over Israel.

Now, no one on earth, no matter how strong he is, let alone a youth, can come against a lion and prize open its mouth to snatch back his sheep which the lion had carried away, unless God’s anointing is on him. And this was indeed what happened to David the shepherd boy who went after the lion, caught it by its beard, struck and killed it, and thus delivered the lamb from its jaws. (1 Samuel 17:34–37)

My friend, no man can truly enjoy living in this world without God’s strength in his life, God’s favor in his work and relationships, God’s protection for him and his family, God’s increase in his finances, and God’s health and healing for his body. Likewise, no woman can survive emotionally, socially or physically without God’s tender touch, loving presence, sweet assurance and words of life in times of need.

Beloved, as you feed on Jesus’ love for you, you will be filled with the fullness of God. Like David, God’s anointing will begin to operate powerfully in your life. And when you encounter spiritual lions, even the devil himself—when he comes like a roaring lion against you, your loved ones or your possessions—you will grab hold of his mouth and tear him apart!

GOD'S WORD HAS NO LIMITS :
John 4:50, "Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way."

Jesus didn't have to touch the child. He didn't have to send anything home with the father to affect the cure. All He did was speak and the son was instantly healed (v. 53).

This man had traveled over fifteen miles from Capernaum to Cana to find Jesus. Therefore, the son was not within 'earshot" so that Jesus' words sparked some cord of hope in his heart, thereby releasing God's power. No, Jesus' spoken word had so much power that no barriers (such as time or space) had any affect on it whatsoever.

This is hard for us to comprehend. We spend an entire lifetime learning physical limitations and adapting to them. But there are no limits to the power of God's word. Jesus created everything in this physical universe by His words, and that creation will respond to anything He says.

The Lord gave His Word to the Jews but they didn't believe it. Hebrews 4:2 says, "...the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard [it]." We have been given God's words too, in the Bible. If we will speak God's Word in faith, we will get the same results that Jesus did here.

The Prayer of Jabez - May We Call On God

1 Chronicles 4:10 "And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested."

Dear Heavenly Father, We come before You today thanking and praising You as we proclaim "O clap Your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth." (Psalms 47:1 - 2) We clap our hands and shout to You in triumph because You have already given us the victory in Jesus' name! We praise You because You are the Most High God, You are awesome and You are the great King over all the earth and You are worthy to be praised! Father we come before You today even as Jabez did calling on Your holy name. We call on You because You are the Most High God and the only one who can effect change in our lives. You are not like the gods made of wood and stone who cannot move or hear the prayers of those who worship them, You are the God who answers by fire and by the power of Your voice You answer prayers. We call to You because You are our loving, caring sharing Heavenly Father who provides for our needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. We call to You because You have shown us Your awesome power in creation and in all of the marvelous things You have done even as we are fearfully and wonderfully made. You created us in Your own image and You desire to have fellowship with us. Father may we pray boldly even as Jesus did saying "Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always." (John 11:41 - 42) Because we are Your heirs and joint heirs with Jesus we can boldly pray in this manner knowing that if we pray anything according to Your will You will hear us. We do thank You that You hear our prayers and deliver us from all of our sorrows; therefore we call out to You not only in times of trouble, but just because we love You and desire to hear Your voice because Your voice brings us comfort. Because You have listened to us, we will call upon You as long as we live. Father we thank and praise You today, in Jesus' name we pray, amen.
