DREAMS IN THE NEW TESTAMENT

I keep having the strangest dreams. I wish my brain was not so creative. K.G.

Dreams are an extension of your physical life. Reading Gods Word and living it minutely, your dreams will be of God and His Majesty in your life. Live a debauched life and we know the outcome. GB

Romans 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.
8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

Acts 2:17 ' And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.

What GB said sounds nice but scripture doesn't back it up? Scriptures doesn't teach in the New Testament anything about dreams being from God because God now speaks by His Spirit that is in every true believer and not by dreams. And that is why we have a New Testament and live by truths in the New Testament especially John 16:13 however, when he, the spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth; for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak; and he will tell you things to come.

As Christians we now have the Holy Spirit not dreams to speak to us and others as per Jesus words in Luke 21:12 but before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. 13 but it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony. 14 therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer; 15 for i will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist. 16 you will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death.

It is people who are demonized and whose mind runs wild who have strange dreams. When Jesus heals and delivers us we have a right mind!
Mark 5:15 then they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid

The realm of demons is the flesh and the carnal mind is enmity with God. And that is why cults and new age movement love dreams! Since by the Spirit we put on the mind of Christ we don't have to rely and believe in our carnal senses. And because they are demonic most dreams are garbage. Hence the bible doesn't instruct us to trust in dreams or in any part of the flesh but in God's word. It clearly states proverbs 3:5 trust in the lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;

In my opinion whenever a person thinks too much it's not only fleshly but demonic. It's a sign of infestations of demons because true Christians just put on the mind of Christ and stop thinking
1 Corinthians 2:
1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God.
2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
3 I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.
4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
6 However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory,
8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9 But as it is written: " Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."
10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
13 These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.
16 For "who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ.

The fleshly ones have no discernment because they don't operate in the gifts of the Spirit and become easily demonized including by the spirit of error! They don’t profit from what is freely given to us by God

1 Corinthians 12: 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,
9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.

1 Corinthians 12: 27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.
28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.
