Deuteronomy 20:1 "When you go out to battle against your enemies and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, who brought you up from the land of Egypt, is with you.
2 "When you are approaching the battle, the priest shall come near and speak to the people.
3 "He shall say to them, 'Hear, O Israel, you are approaching the battle against your enemies today. Do not be fainthearted. Do not be afraid, or panic, or tremble before them,
4 for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.'
Exodus 23: 20 "Behold, I am going to send an angel before you to guard you along the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.
21 "Be on your guard before him and obey his voice; do not be rebellious toward him, for he will not pardon your transgression, since My name is in him.
22 "But if you truly obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.
23 "For My angel will go before you and bring you in to the land of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites and the Jebusites; and I will completely destroy them.
24 "You shall not worship their gods, nor serve them, nor do according to their deeds; but you shall utterly overthrow them and break their sacred pillars in pieces.
25 "But you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water; and I will remove sickness from your midst.
26 "There shall be no one miscarrying or barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.
2 Samuel 3: The House of David Strengthened
1 Now there was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David; and David grew steadily stronger, but the house of Saul grew weaker continually
AFFLICTIONS, PERSECUTIONS AND AGONY ARE PERMITTED IN OUR LIVES SO THAT WE CAN RECEIVE THE GLORY OF GOD. EACH SERVANT OF GOD UNDERGOES HIS OR HER OWN KIND OF AFFLICTIONS. IF WE DO NOT PASS THROUGH THE VALLEY OF SUFFERINGS WE CANNOT RECEIVE THE GLORY OF GOD. DAVID CRIED OUT SAYING THAT EVERYDAY HIS FOES TRIED TO DEVOUR AND OPPRESS HIM (PSALM 56:1-2; 42:3). HE RAN TO THE LORD TO FIND REFUGE, STRENGTH, VICTORY AND RECOVERY. AND GOD WILL DO THE SAME FOR US WHEN WE RUN TO HIM AND HE WILL STRENGTHEN US WITH HUNDREDFOLD BLESSING. GOD’S WORD IS UNCHANGING:
So David inquired of the LORD, saying, "Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?" And He answered him, "Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all. 1 Samuel 30:8
So David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away, and David rescued his two wives. And nothing of theirs was lacking, either small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything which they had taken from them; David recovered all. 1 Samuel 30:18-19
SINCE EVANGELICALS ARE NOT WORD OF FAITH PERSONS THEY DON'T HAVE A CONCEPT OF VICTORY AS THEY DOESN'T BELIEVE THAT EVERY PROMISE IN THE BIBLE IS OURS INCLUDING GOD'S PROMISE TO BE AN ENEMY TO ALL OUR ENEMIES
WELL SICKNESS, CURSES, POVERTY, DEMONS AND EVERY NEGATIVE THING IS NOT OUR FRIEND BUT OUR ENEMY AND GOD HAS PROMISED TO GIVE US THE VICTORY. THEY DON'T BELIEVE FOR GOD TO DO WHAT HE DID FOR DAVID WHO WAS A NOBODY BUT A SHEPHERD BOY
2 Samuel 7
1 Now it came about when the king lived in his house, and the LORD had given him rest on every side from all his enemies,
8 "Now therefore, thus you shall say to My servant David, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, "I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, to be ruler over My people Israel.
9 "I have been with you wherever you have gone and have cut off all your enemies from before you; and I will make you a great name, like the names of the great men who are on the earth.
10 "I will also appoint a place for My people Israel and will plant them, that they may live in their own place and not be disturbed again, nor will the wicked afflict them any more as formerly,
11 even from the day that I commanded judges to be over My people Israel; and I will give you rest from all your enemies. The LORD also declares to you that the LORD will make a house for you.
2 Samuel 8: David's Triumphs
1 Now after this it came about that David defeated the Philistines and subdued them; and David took control of the chief city from the hand of the Philistines.
2 He defeated Moab, and measured them with the line, making them lie down on the ground; and he measured two lines to put to death and one full line to keep alive. And the Moabites became servants to David, bringing tribute.
3 Then David defeated Hadadezer, the son of Rehob king of Zobah, as he went to restore his rule at the River.
4 David captured from him 1,700 horsemen and 20,000 foot soldiers; and David hamstrung the chariot horses, but reserved enough of them for 100 chariots.
5 When the Arameans of Damascus came to help Hadadezer, king of Zobah, David killed 22,000 Arameans.
6 Then David put garrisons among the Arameans of Damascus, and the Arameans became servants to David, bringing tribute. And the LORD helped David wherever he went.
7 David took the shields of gold which were carried by the servants of Hadadezer and brought them to Jerusalem.
8 From Betah and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, King David took a very large amount of bronze.
9 Now when Toi king of Hamath heard that David had defeated all the army of Hadadezer,
10 Toi sent Joram his son to King David to greet him and bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and defeated him; for Hadadezer had been at war with Toi. And Joram brought with him articles of silver, of gold and of bronze.
11 King David also dedicated these to the LORD, with the silver and gold that he had dedicated from all the nations which he had subdued:
12 from Aram and Moab and the sons of Ammon and the Philistines and Amalek, and from the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
13 So David made a name for himself when he returned from killing 18,000 Arameans in the Valley of Salt.
14 He put garrisons in Edom. In all Edom he put garrisons, and all the Edomites became servants to David. And the LORD helped David wherever he went.
15 So David reigned over all Israel; and David administered justice and righteousness for all his people.
GOD MADE A COVENANT WITH DAVID TO BE WITH HIM WHEREVER HE WENT, CUT OFF ALL HIS ENEMIES BEFORE HIM, GIVE HIM A GREAT NAME LIKE THE NAMES OF THE GREAT MEN WHO ARE ON THE EARTH, AND GIVE HIM REST FROM ALL HIS ENEMIES
AND SINCE GOD IS NO RESPECTER OF PERSONS AND WE NOW LIVE UNDER A GREATER NEW SUPERIOR COVENANT WE CAN EXPECT GOD TO DO THE SAME FOR US
THE PROBLEM WITH EVANGELICALS IS THEY DON'T BELIEVE GOD TO GIVE THEM VICTORY OVER ALL THEIR ENEMIES AND TO BLESS THEM LIKE HE BLESSED KING DAVID. SO ACCORDING TO THEIR LACK OF FAITH THEY GET NOTHING OF VALUE FROM GOD IN VICTORIES OVER ALL THEIR ENEMIES. AS A MATTER OF FACT EVANGELICALS DON'T PURSUE THEIR ENEMIES WHO ARE ENEMIES OF GOD'S PEOPLE! BUT GOD'S WORD IS UNCHANGING:
1 Corinthians 15:57 but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith.
INTERESTING THAT EVANGELICALS DON'T HAVE FAITH FOR VICTORY OR A CONCEPT OF VICTORY BASED ON GOD'S WORD TO OVERCOME TH WORLD AND ALL THAT THE DEVIL THROWS AT THEM
THEY ONLY HAVE FAITH FOR THE SALVATION OF SOULS
IN OTHER WORDS THEY ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE TOTALLY INCOMPLETE
THEY ARE NOT TAUGHT BY THE HOLY SPIRIT BUT BY MEN AND DON'T UNDERSTAND OR PRACTICE Mark 11:23 Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him. 24 Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.
THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND THE WORDS "ALL THINGS FOR WHICH YOU PRAY AND ASK"
