Having Done All, Stand
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:10-13
Dust mites such as ourselves have very little understanding about the principalities and power and rulers of darkness or the wiles of the devil, who use all kind of devices including deceivement, oppression, depression, sickness and disease to afflict people. Flesh and blood are almost useless against these spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places but only the strength of the Lord and the power of His might will prevail against them. Yet God’s word is unchanging:
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10
He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8
Yes, what is required is more of the anointing of the Holy Spirit to destroy the works of the devil just like Jesus did. God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. It’s the anointing that destroys the yoke that the devil has put on men, be it yokes of poverty, lack, sickness and disease. God’s word is true:
Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, And the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, And the fruitful field is counted as a forest. Then justice will dwell in the wilderness, And righteousness remain in the fruitful field. The work of righteousness will be peace, And the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, In secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places, Though hail comes down on the forest, And the city is brought low in humiliation. Blessed are you who sow beside all waters, Who send out freely the feet of the ox and the donkey. Isaiah 32:15-20
"The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified." Isaiah 61:1-3
There is nothing like a good outpouring of the Holy Spirit to bring justice, righteousness, peace, quietness and assurance to the land. The Holy Spirit can and will do in a split second what years of perspiration can never do being health, healing, blessing and prosperity to desolate and dead places. God’s word is unchanging:
The hand of the LORD came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. And He said to me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" So I answered, "O Lord GOD, You know."
Again He said to me, "Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, 'O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! 'Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: "Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. "I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the LORD." ' "
So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them.
Also He said to me, "Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live." ' " So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.
Then He said to me, "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, 'Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!' "Therefore prophesy and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. "Then you shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. "I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the LORD, have spoken it and performed it," says the LORD.' " Ezekiel 37:1-14
What we need more in life is not new homes, cars and boats but a great outpouring of God’s Spirit upon the land so that dead bones can have life and dead flesh can live! Then the blessings of God will be every where and the works of the devil be destroyed. There is a new outpouring of the Holy Spirit par of the latter rain where abundance and plenty will be restored to God’s true people. What was stolen and lost from God’s people will also be restored:
Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the LORD your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you- The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month. The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil. “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the LORD your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame. Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the LORD your God And there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame. “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: Blood and fire and pillars of smoke. Joel 2:23-30
The Lord will allow nothing to come upon the earth unless He first reveals His secret counsel to His servants the prophets. As a result He is giving divinely granted understanding. The scriptures declare that the breadth of God gives understanding. He is breathing upon His true people to give understanding of these times and the things that they must do to survive and even prosper during this season of judgment.
It has been prophesied that a new holy canopy is being released in the church of apostolic anointing and authority. There will now be the good shepherds upon whom the favor of the Lord will be apparent. It will be the mature restoration of the judges and counselors as at the beginning. The coming judges will be apostolic and the counselors will be the prophets. For the foundation of the church consists of the apostles and prophets revealing the chief cornerstone, the Lord Jesus.
The prophets will emerge first revealing the mind of Christ through Godly counsel during these final days of preparation and release for the apostolic authority. These will appear, anointed with Holy Spirit power displaying the Lord’s victory over demons, disease and death. God’s will fulfill His word:
When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and purged the blood of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning, then the LORD will create above every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and above her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night. For over all the glory there will be a covering. And there will be a tabernacle for shade in the daytime from the heat, for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from storm and rain. (Isaiah 4:4-6).
The apostolic anointing will function as cloud by day and the prophet will serve as flaming fire by night. Each of these will provide a canopy of glory over the believers who have been washed and purged by the “spirit of judgment” and the “spirit of burning”. This canopy of glory will provide shade from the heat of judgment and a refuge and protection from the raging storms of persecution and accusation. The Lord will be the light of that canopy and His Glory will provide divine insulation.
The apostolic leadership emerging will provide a pillar of cloud over the body illuminating the hidden manna for this day. The prophets will be as a flame of fire at night displaying awesome power and miracles. The entirety of this ministry will be based on the fact that “Love does no wrong to a neighbor; love therefore is the fulfillment of the law”. This emerging ministry of the apostles and prophets will display divine love born in the heart of the Father and not of man.
It has been prophesied that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son. Hence the coming apostolic ministers will be as pillar of cloud by day and the anointed prophet will be as a pillar of fire by night. Each will provide a canopy of protection through the Holy Spirit even as Israel was protected during the judgments of Egypt. The shelter of Goshen will become apparent in the coming season. We will actually see the beginning of the captivity for Egypt and the plainly defined provision for God’s people.
There will be a release of genuine Holy Spirit POWER. Some have stated that it will be “Power that travels with the speed of thought. Power to confront. Power to read people’s hearts. Power to run through a troop of the enemy and power to jump over their walls. Power to bless and power to curse. This power to curse is a righteous power from the Holy Spirit enabling the church to curse sickness and disease and all the power of the evil one.” For God’s word is true:
“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. “Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.” (Luke 10:19-20)
“how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.. (Acts 10:38)
The Lord is going to release the power and authority to curse all that is in opposition to His purposes in the church and on the earth. There is coming power to open and power to close and power to bind and loose even God’s judgments on the false and wicked ones:
Indeed, the LORD will throw you away violently, O mighty man, And will surely seize you. He will surely turn violently and toss you like a ball Into a large country; There you shall die, and there your glorious chariots Shall be the shame of your master’s house. So I will drive you out of your office, And from your position he will pull you down. ‘Then it shall be in that day, That I will call My servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah; I will clothe him with your robe And strengthen him with your belt;
I will commit your responsibility into his hand. He shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem And to the house of Judah. The key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder; So he shall open, and no one shall shut; And he shall shut, and no one shall open. I will fasten him as a peg in a secure place, And he will become a glorious throne to his father’s house. Isaiah 22:17-23
“And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:19)
The other side of the picture when the Holy Spirit came to earth on the day of Pentecost in the first century church, the enemy, the devil or the spirit of anti-Christ will be doing his thing with his counterfeit miracles and prophets and preachers, both in the religious and secular world as well as through witchcraft, sorcery and other movements. Major catastrophic disasters will escalate in the earth such as devastating volcanoes and earthquakes, war famine, and pestilence will accelerate to new levels with ravaging results.
The only thing of value is a peaceful flowing of the river of the Spirit through a person’s life. Nothing else is of much worth. The rest are all gifts. First the river must flow purely through the lives of His true ones and then they can teach others to do the same. God’s word is unchanging:
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:16-25
