I Believe in Miracles – You Can Have Your Breakthrough Today

Miracle, makes many people uncomfortable. To many people it sounds like a joke or words of an unserious person. However for a Christian, what is the relationship between him/her and God if there are no miracles? The simplest definition of a miracle is help from God.

The moment a Christian stops believing in help from God, his relationship with God becomes dry and hopeless. The scripture says in Psalm 123:1-4 “Unto You I lift up my eyes, O You who dwell in the heavens. Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, until He has mercy on us. Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us! For we are exceedingly filled with contempt. Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorn of those who are at ease, with the contempt of the proud.” (NKJV)

Praying to God is like the servant in this Bible passage who is looking up to the master/mistress to provide what is needed to do the business of the day. Exceeding contempt and shame are the consequences of unanswered prayer. Why would God ask us to pray, if he is not going to help? There are people who will argue that help from God depends on our goodness; that is not the absolute truth. Rom. 5:8-9 says “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.”“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.” Rom. 8:31-34 (NKJV)

For as long as one seeks to justify himself before God, he will struggle; (I believe Christians should live their lives pleasing God), but it must be understood that we are saved by grace and live out our lives through grace. In many places the common practices are, “pleasing God so that he will be appeased to bless you.” God chose to bless us in Christ Jesus and we can access help from God through prays. This help is what is called miracle. You may not see miracles in your life if you don’t believe in miracles. You rarely notice what you are not looking for.

I have conducted many services where there were miracles and testimonies of divine intervention in people’s lives, (In Africa and Europe). They include areas like relationships, fruit of the womb, business, healing, material things etc. I have seen people who stepped into the church for the first time and left with miracles; I have heard members of the church testify (showing evidences) of how God helped them (miracle); there were cases of long time issues overturned through prayers. I have seen revivals in fellowship groups because people prayed.

The Christian journey could be burdensome without answer to prayers (miracle); in fact, if the person backslides, it is very difficult to restore such a person. Miracles end arguments about the existences of God. Here is an evidence of it:

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, saying, “What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a notable miracle has been done through them is evident to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it.” Acts 4:13-16 (NKJV)

Whose report would you believe, “that of unbelievers” or that of the scriptures? God answers prayers and that is what produces miracles.‘Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ Jer.33:3.

Call on God today and experience a breakthrough. Do it.

PRAYER
Lord I surrender in a fresh way every area of my heart and life to You. May I be completely consecrated to You and may the enemy have nothing in me. May I be full of Your light and truth and may I be ready to move into the season of increase and blessing You have for me. May Your glory, authority, presence and power rest upon my life in new dimensions. May my impact for Your kingdom increase in this hour as I fully surrender my all to You, in Jesus’ name. Give me the strength and endurance I need. I thank You for BREAKTHROUGH IN EVERY AREA OF MY LIFE, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
