DEMONS BELIEVE

FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD

JAMES 2:14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food,
16 and one of you says to them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?
17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
18 But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe --- and tremble!
20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?
21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?
22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?
23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." And he was called the friend of God.
24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?
26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

LOVE RESULTS IN ACTION AND DEEDS AND NOT JUST WORDS

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

1 Corinthians 13: 1    Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2    And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

Acts 3:1    Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.
2    And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple;
3    who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms.
4    And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, "Look at us."
5    So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.
6    Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk."
7    And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8    So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them --- walking, leaping, and praising God.
9    And all the people saw him walking and praising God.
10    Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

God Presence Is More Than Just to Be In Awe Of, His Presence Is Ineffective Unless It Is Manifested To Touch, Heal And To Deliver

MANY PREACHERS FAIL MISERABLY IN THIS AREA - THEY DON'T MANIFEST THE REAL JESUS WHO IS A SAVIOR, HEALER, DELIVERER AND MIRACLE WORKER.

1 Corinthians 4:20 For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.

1 Thessalonians 1:5 For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.

1Cor.2:4,5; And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. Ro.11:36-12:10; Ga.2:20; 4:19; 5:6,13,16,24,25; Ep.3:14-4:24; Col.3:1-17; 2Th.1:11,12; 1Pe.4:7-11; 1Jn.2:3-6,24-29; 4:{all}4-6,9,17;

PAUL AND SILAS DREW UPON GOD'S POWER THROUGH PRAYER AND PRAISE AND LOOK AT WHAT HAPPENED?

ACTS 16:22 Then the multitude rose up together against them; and the magistrates tore off their clothes and commanded them to be beaten with rods.
23 And when they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, commanding the jailer to keep them securely.
24 Having received such a charge, he put them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks.
The Philippian Jailer Saved
25 But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.
26 Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were loosed.
27 And the keeper of the prison, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, supposing the prisoners had fled, drew his sword and was about to kill himself.
28 But Paul called with a loud voice, saying, "Do yourself no harm, for we are all here."
29 Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas.
30 And he brought them out and said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"
31 So they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house.
33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized.
34 Now when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them; and he rejoiced, having believed in God with all his household.
