He Gave Gifts To Men

"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!"  Luke 11:13

Therefore He says: "When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men." Ephesians 4:8

As a parent it makes us very happy to give gifts to our children and to see them happy. God is no different. He created man in His own image so that He could give gifts to him. And most Christians receive one or two gifts from God including salvation and the Baptism of the Spirit and think that is all that God has to give them when in fact He has storehouses full in heaven of good things He wants to give them including the gifts of the Spirit, perfect health and great wealth. God’s word is unchanging:

Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.  Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." Genesis 1:26-28

Yes, God created man in His own image and He blessed him and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." To live anything less than as heirs of God is not only to live below the poverty line but it is to be foolish for God’s word is unchanging:

"Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.  "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. Matthew 18:18-19

"And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. "If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. John 14:13-14

Yes, Christians as heirs of God don’t have to accept anything negative in their lives. They can use their God given faith to change things and see real changes in their lives including health, wealth and prosperity. It is Satan, who hates God, who could not stand to see God or His children happy. As a result he cause God's children, receivers of His giving to sin in the garden and lose their paradise and blessings. But Jesus came and He restored all that the devil stole and damaged and God’s children don’t have to be poor any more. God’s word is unchanging:

Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours:  whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come-all are yours.  And you are Christ's, and Christ is God's. 1 Corinthians 3:21-23

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9

Yes through fellowship with God God’s children, His heirs of salvation, don’t have to accept material shortage or poverty syndrome. Through faith they have all the riches and resources and power of heaven at their disposal as well as God’s best blessings. They don’t have to live like prodigals — living in a hog pen. They can enjoy all that heaven has to offer them. God’s word is unchanging:

"Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom" Luke 12:32.

Yes, God desires to give good things to His children. They can have His entire kingdom, every part of it! They can have the fatted calf, the robe of righteousness, the ring of sonship, the shoes of service and a great anointing that breaks every bondage. God’s word is unchanging:

Then He said: "A certain man had two sons. "And the younger of them said to his father, 'Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.' So he divided to them his livelihood.  "And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living. "But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want.  "Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.  "And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything.

"But when he came to himself, he said, 'How many of my father's hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!  'I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you,  "and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants." '

"And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.  "And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.'

"But the father said to his servants, 'Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.  'And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry;  'for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' And they began to be merry. Luke 15:11-25

Because of our faith, God bestows His grace upon us, which means that we find favor with Him. This grace is not unmerited in His eyes; it is because of our faith. He responds to our faith by granting us the gift of righteousness — not because of our goodness, but because Jesus purchased it for us at Calvary. We appropriate this gift of righteousness through our faith. So now when God looks at us, He sees only the righteousness of Jesus. Because of the blood of Jesus, we are counted as worthy and deserving of salvation and with it by faith we receive everything else as heirs of salvation including health, wealth and prosperity.  As we give to others God give to us for God’s word is unchanging:

"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you." Luke 6:38
