With every passing year, what Jesus said, “This will be a time for you
to bear testimony. Settle it therefore in your own minds not to
meditate before hand how to answer; for I will give you a mouth and
wisdom which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or
contradict. You will be delivered up (betrayed) even by parents and
brothers and kinsmen and friends, and some of you hey will put you to
death; you will be hated by all for my names’ sake. But not a hair of
your head will perish. By your endurance you will gain your life” (Lk.
21: 13 – 19). Let the Lord deal with your betrayers Turn them over to
Jesus because Paul quoting God wrote, “Beloved never avenge yourself,
but leave it to the wrath of God; for it is written, ‘Vengeance is
mine, I will repay, says the Lord” (Lev. 19: 18; Heb. 10: 30). Jesus
will deal with them. But, you must also remember that you are a member
of a greater family, Jesus’ family, the family of God. We have all had
problems with natural family members as well as so-called Christian
family members. But, the more you serve Jesus, the more you will be
attacked and betrayed.
