Heaven's Economy

Giving thanks unto the Father .. Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son. - Colossians 1:12-13

If, in spite of all the Bible's promises about prosperity...in spite of all the prayers you've prayed...you are still struggling financially, consider this question: Where do you think God is going to get the resources to meet your needs?

Many believers limit God without even realizing it by training their eyes on the limited resources of this world rather than the unlimited riches of God's kingdom. Their faith fails when they think of the troubled economy on the earth, of the shortages and scarcity that surrounds them. They wonder, "How is God going to bless me in the middle of all this?"

If that's what you've been thinking, here's some news that will turn those thoughts around!

The Bible says God has "delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son." To be translated means to be taken out of one place and put into another. In other words, your citizenship is not primarily of this earth. You are not primarily American or Canadian or Australian--you are first and foremost a citizen of the kingdom of God.

That means this planet doesn't have any right to dictate to you whether your needs are met or not. The Bible says God will meet your needs according to His riches in glory! (Philippians 4:19). You can live by heaven's economy, not earth's economy--and in heaven there is always more than enough.

Wake up to the abundance of heaven that's been made yours through Jesus. Wake up to the fact that you've been translated out of a world of poverty into a kingdom of abundance. Rejoice. Heaven's unlimited resources have been made available to you!

Light Always Overpowers Darkness

"God is light" is a very interesting truth. (1 John 1:5.)

We know that light travels at the speed of 299,792,458 meters per second or 186,282 miles per second. That's faster than most people can comprehend. But let me ask you this. How fast does darkness travel? Well, I'll tell you. Darkness doesn't move. It has no light. Darkness only exists where there is no light, because light always overpowers darkness.

The apostle John talked about light and darkness in John 1. "In the beginning was the Word [referring to Jesus] and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the Light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not comprehend it" (John 1:1-5).

The Greek word for comprehend (katalambano)could also be translated as overpower. In that case, verse 5 would read like this: "And the light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not overpower it." Once again, we see that light always overpowers darkness.

With that in mind, remember that Jesus said in Matthew 5:14, "You are the light of the world." And He said in verse 16, "Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."

Again, in John 8:12 Jesus said, "I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."

Now, if you have problems in your life and it seems as though they are about to get you down, remember what Jesus said in John 8:31-32. He said if we would abide in His Word, we would be His disciples and we would know the truth and the truth would make, or set, us free.

Well, the truth is God is light and in Him is no darkness. If you are a born-again believer, then Jesus is within you and you are light. And the great news is that light always overpowers darkness. Not sometimes, not most of the time, but light always overpowers darkness.

Satan is the prince of darkness. Jesus has already defeated him. The Bible even says that Jesus made a public mockery of him and defeated death. (Col. 2:15; Heb. 2:14.) Jesus took authority over darkness and He has given that authority to all who believe. (Luke 10:19.)

Remember this today. If you are a Christian and you are being attacked by darkness, just let your light shine. Greater is He who is in you than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4), and "the kingdom of God is within you" (Luke 17:21).

If you are not a Christian and the prince of darkness is attacking you, you only have one hope and that is Jesus. Accept Him as your Lord and Savior and you will have the light of God within you. Then you can walk in the light.

The bottom line is this: God is light. And, according to Jesus, we as Christians are light--and light always overpowers darkness.

YES WE NEED MIRACLES

I don't want to drink poison from a cup. I have tasted waters. Some are sweet, some salty, some are stinky like rotten eggs, sulphur waters. I have tried sparkling waters, mineral waters, sugar laden soda waters.

I have sat through all the sermons man can preach, and tasted their waters. God gave it to them pure, but they added their opinions. God gave them Living Waters, but they sugared it to taste with pep talks and counseling.

You can drink it. Coffee, tea, soda, all flavors of waters, all types of sermons. Some pep you up like coffee. Some bring you down like beer. Water placed in barrels with age. Getting drunk on old waters from years ago. Yes, you can drink God's water from days gone past, long ago, revivals, sermons, moves of yesterday.

You can drink water from heaven, but a few days later its full of leaven, mosquitoes grow there, frogs hop there. Waters. What water have you been drinking? Upon whose words have you been thinking? Bitter, sweet, the flavors change, but one water you do not want. Poisoned waters kill.

Poisoned with bitterness. Poisoned with jealousy. Poisoned with hypocrisy. Poisoned waters kill everything. In a vision, I once saw a lady try to remove evil from the church by adding poison to the stock tank, the animals could not drink it, she was trying to kill the rats, but had destroyed the church; horses, dogs, everything could not drink those poisoned waters, and so the church closed its doors. Her intentions were good, but the result was bad.

She brought in poisoned waters in an effort to remove evil. Some people, under oppression from the enemy, go to witchdoctors for help, to break the spell. They take poison for poison. In fact pharmacopeia is the art of poisoning.

Early doctors used medicines, which were poisons, in small amounts, as medicine, to heal people. For instance, I know a spring that produces arsenic water in New Mexico. People drink it for their arthritis. I suppose in a small enough dose, it may in fact be medicinal, not deadly. I think sorcery comes from this art of poisons, this pharmacopeia.

Yes, the Greek word for sorcery is pharmacopeia, the word for pharmacy, drug-making. Perhaps that is what these poisonous sermons do, they are asprin for the congregation. "Religion is the opiate of the people." said Karl Marx, that horrible man was partly right. Dead religion is a type of sorcery, a type of pharmacopeia, drug making. Poisoned waters. Drinking water that originally came from God, but have been flavored or doctored by men's minds.

We don't have the mind of Christ. We need to put on the mind of Christ. All these doctorates doctoring the water, all these flavors to taste, sip, and try. No wonder the nation does not have revival, they are at a spiritual Starbucks, asking for the sermon their way, customized and pampered to their needs. "I want a decaf nonfat no-whip 180 degree double shot of hyper grace please." I can't help these people. They need ridalin? No, they need to stop chugging spiritual soda pop all day. That sugar water rots the teeth. How will you ever chew the meat of the Word with all those cavities?

Yes, we need miracles, their bad diet is evident in every Wal-Mart they waddle through. Drink the Living Water that comes from God. Out of your belly shall flow rivers of Living Water. God is the source, you don't need a Perrier or an Evian. You don't need more caffeine or sugar in it either. You need the Word. Taste and see that the Lord is good. Don't poison the waters anymore. You have poisoned the whole Pacific Ocean with radiation. Don't you think it is time to meditate on the Word?
