"THE MIRACLE WORKING GOD OF THE SUPERNATURAL WHO IS FOR US!"
THE ELDER, To the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth: Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. 3 John 1:1-4
Even though God’s trusting ones might face all kinds of negative storms and lacks in life, God is always, always, for them, with them and not against them! They can always at all times come boldly to the throne of grace, that they may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). Jesus Christ the captain of their salvation, was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone and was made perfect through sufferings. Jesus Christ, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, their big brother, for both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, had partaken of flesh and blood that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. In that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted(Hebrews 2:9-18). His word is unchanging:
When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: "He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses." Matthew 8:16-17
When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them. Like 4:40
God is good and all His deeds are always good. In the beginning, when He finished creating everything, He surveyed them and found that everything was good (Genesis 1:31). When He came into this world in the name of 'Jesus', He always went about doing good to others.
When there was shortage of wine in the wedding house at Cana, He performed a miracle by changing water into wine and made the people cheerful (John 2:1-11). When He saw the multitude He had compassion for them and said to His disciples, "I have compassion on the multitude, because they have continued to be with Me for three days and have nothing to eat. I cannot send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way" (Matthew 15:23). He took the seven loaves of bread and few little fishes that His disciples had. He gave thanks, broke them, gave them to His disciples and in turn they gave it to the multitude. There were four thousand men, besides women and children. Thus by feeding the hungry people He did good to them.
When He saw the multitude He had compassion and He healed the sick (Matthew 14:14). Jesus went about all the cities and villages teaching in their synagogues, preaching about the Kingdom of God and healing every sickness (Matthew 9:35, 4:23). The people followed Him not only when He was in the villages and towns but also when He was in the wilderness. He was doing good to all those who followed Him. His word is unchanging:
"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!" Matthew 7:11
God never wants to curse His people; nor does He want them to have a life blighted by curses. Rather, He desires that they should have a blessed life, full of health and prosperity. His word is unchanging:
And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, "Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you." And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. Hebrews 6:11-15
It’s a fact that you cannot have from God what you cannot believe that He can do or give you. It’s also a fact that God’s people have been given a bad report by their leadership who have told them lies about God’s will for their lives and who themselves have never possessed the Promised Land, all the promises of God. God’s word is true:
And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, "The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. "There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight." Numbers 13:32-33
Now the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land, who returned and made all the congregation complain against him by bringing a bad report of the land, those very men who brought the evil report about the land, died by the plague before the LORD. Numbers 14:36-37
Yes by believing the bad report of their leadership, many of God’s people die in the wilderness of their own choosing devoid of divine health, divine wealth, divine strength and divine prosperity. They don’t experience Jesus Christ miraculously turning the water of their lives into wine, just like He did at the wedding in Cana of Galilee, when they ran out of wine. There were six water pots of stone, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. Jesus said to them, "Fill the waterpots with water." And they went ahead and did exactly that. And the water became wine! (John 2:1-11).
Faith is that almighty force in the realm of the spirit, that is able to take a man from the pit of hell and translate him to the glorious realm of heavenly places! Faith is also able to make a man whole, healthy, wealthy and prosperous. There is nothing in the world that will not answer to faith - be it physical, mental, material or spiritual, name it. Everything on earth answers to this powerful force called faith. It overcomes all forces of darkness - economic problems, sickness, disease, family disintegration, untimely death, and every other obstacle we can imagine on earth. Every problem on earth just must answer to faith, and this is why we must seek to understand and appreciate it. Jesus told Peter:
… "Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. "But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren." Luke 22:31-32
Until our faith fails, we don't become a failure. Once our faith fails, our spiritual life fails! Because Habakkuk 2:4 tells us that"...the just shall live by his faith."
"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. " 3 John 2
For this purpose Jesus came to redeem those who were cursed and to give them life and more abundantly. He came to save, heal, deliver and make men whole and complete. He came to give them victory over all things. Jesus died on the cross to take away all the curse and sins and bless men richly.
We live in a world full of woes with all sorts of problems, sicknesses and sufferings but Jesus came to set men free from these plagues and to live happily and peacefully. He came to give them miracles and heavenly help in this regard. He is very much alive to their desires and needs. He came to be their sun and shield and to give them grace and glory. His word is unchanging:
For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly. Psalm 84:11
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, "This was He of whom I said, 'He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.' " And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him. John 1:14-18
The odds may be against men but Jesus is still the Almighty One. He is all-powerful to turn any situation around, to heal any disease and more than any thing to comfort His trusting ones and to give them peace, as they look up to Him and tell Him about all their worries, anxieties and problems and submit all their burdens at His feet who is a God of impossibilities and acknowledge that nothing is impossible with Him. His word is unchanging:
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. Matthew 28:18-20
"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." John 16:33
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:31-32
Yes, in the world we will have tribulation but we can be of good cheer for Jesus overcame the world. Yes, If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Yes, the Lord has promised to take care of His trusting ones according to His riches and glory! He owns everything! We are moving into a time of restoration for His people and an outpouring of great financial blessings. God’s trusting ones can stand fast and believe that the Lord is prospering them and restoring them, no matter what the world economy looks like, for God’s word is unchanging:
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the LORD, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the LORD, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive. Jeremiah 29:11-14
Then the LORD will be zealous for His land, And pity His people. The LORD will answer and say to His people, "Behold, I will send you grain and new wine and oil, And you will be satisfied by them; I will no longer make you a reproach among the nations. "But I will remove far from you the northern army, And will drive him away into a barren and desolate land, With his face toward the eastern sea And his back toward the western sea; His stench will come up, And his foul odor will rise, Because he has done monstrous things."
Fear not, O land; Be glad and rejoice, For the LORD has done marvelous things! Do not be afraid, you beasts of the field; For the open pastures are springing up, And the tree bears its fruit; The fig tree and the vine yield their strength. Be glad then, you children of Zion, And rejoice in the LORD your God; For He has given you the former rain faithfully, And He will cause the rain to come down for you- The former rain, And the latter rain in the first month. The threshing floors shall be full of wheat, And the vats shall overflow with new wine and oil.
"So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, And praise the name of the LORD your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; And My people shall never be put to shame. Joel 2:18-26
The works of the LORD are great, Studied by all who have pleasure in them. His work is honorable and glorious, And His righteousness endures forever. He has made His wonderful works to be remembered; The LORD is gracious and full of compassion. He has given food to those who fear Him; He will ever be mindful of His covenant. He has declared to His people the power of His works, In giving them the heritage of the nations. The works of His hands are verity and justice; All His precepts are sure. They stand fast forever and ever, And are done in truth and uprightness. He has sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant Psalm 111:2-9
When the LORD brought back the captivity of Zion, We were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them." The LORD has done great things for us, And we are glad. Bring back our captivity, O LORD, As the streams in the South. Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him. Psalm 126:1-6
The Lord, Who is a great King over all the earth, is awesome in His works for those who trust Him and He does mighty things in their life so their mouths can be filled with laughter, and their tongues with singing. God, who is not respecter of persons and rich to all who call upon Him (Romans 10:12), restored to Job double what he had lost, will restore to His trusting ones what will he bigger and more glorious than what they had lost! Everything God does the second time around He does it better and bigger. His word is unchanging:
"Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying: 'Who is left among you who saw this temple in its former glory? And how do you see it now? In comparison with it, is this not in your eyes as nothing? 'Yet now be strong, Zerubbabel,' says the LORD; 'and be strong, Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land,' says the LORD, 'and work; for I am with you,' says the LORD of hosts. 'According to the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so My Spirit remains among you; do not fear!' "For thus says the LORD of hosts: 'Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; 'and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,' says the LORD of hosts. 'The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,' says the LORD of hosts.' The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,' says the LORD of hosts. 'And in this place I will give peace,' says the LORD of hosts." Haggai 2:5-9
God promises to do better to them then at their beginnings. He is going to make things and their life better than when they begun at the new job, moved into the new town/city/house/flat, etc, started the new relationship, when they got married, when they started working with money, etc. He will do better to them than at their beginnings! For after all He is the God who turned the water into wine, and it tasted better than the wine that was served (John 2:1-11)
And when He had done these things they would know that He is God! God will do such a work in their life that there will be no doubt that He did it and that He alone could do it as God! No one else will be responsible for the “better” that God will bring to and in their life! And no one can take the glory for it but God! His word is unchanging:
In that day the LORD of hosts will be For a crown of glory and a diadem of beauty To the remnant of His people, For a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, And for strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate. Isaiah 28:5-6
The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them, And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose; It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice, Even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, The excellence of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the LORD, The excellency of our God. Strengthen the weak hands, And make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who are fearful-hearted, "Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, With the recompense of God; He will come and save you." Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the dumb sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert. The parched ground shall become a pool, And the thirsty land springs of water; In the habitation of jackals, where each lay, There shall be grass with reeds and rushes. Isaiah 35:1-7
God has no problem making all things new for His trusting ones. As the LORD of hosts He has no problem to be a crown of glory and a diadem of beauty to the remnant of His people. He has no problem to make their desserts blossom like a rose! He has not problem to make waters burst forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert or the parched ground to become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water. He has no problem to make their enemies or contenders to become a nonexistent thing! He has no problem to save, heal, and deliver them and make them whole! He has no problem to bless and prosper them and to make them head, not tail, above not beneath. His word is unchanging:
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.' "Behold, all those who were incensed against you Shall be ashamed and disgraced; They shall be as nothing, And those who strive with you shall perish. You shall seek them and not find them- Those who contended with you. Those who war against you Shall be as nothing, As a nonexistent thing. For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, 'Fear not, I will help you.' "Fear not, you worm Jacob, You men of Israel! I will help you," says the LORD And your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. "Behold, I will make you into a new threshing sledge with sharp teeth; You shall thresh the mountains and beat them small, And make the hills like chaff. You shall winnow them, the wind shall carry them away, And the whirlwind shall scatter them; You shall rejoice in the LORD, And glory in the Holy One of Israel. "The poor and needy seek water, but there is none, Their tongues fail for thirst. I, the LORD, will hear them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them. I will open rivers in desolate heights, And fountains in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, And the dry land springs of water. I will plant in the wilderness the cedar and the acacia tree, The myrtle and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the cypress tree and the pine And the box tree together, That they may see and know, And consider and understand together, That the hand of the LORD has done this, And the Holy One of Israel has created it. Isaiah 41:14-20
"And the patriarchs, becoming envious, sold Joseph into Egypt. But God was with him "and delivered him out of all his troubles, and gave him favor and wisdom in the presence of Pharaoh, king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house. Acts 7:9-10
God, who was with Joseph after his brothers sold him into slavery into Egypt and delivered him out of all his troubles, and gave him favor and wisdom in the presence of Pharaoh, king of Egypt; and He made him governor over Egypt and all his house, can do everything that needs to be done for His trusting ones to save, heal, deliver, bless, comfort and prosper them! Yes, those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. His word is true:
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
Now the Midianites had sold him in Egypt to Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh and captain of the guard. Genesis 37:36
Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock; and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away. Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble." 1 Peter 5:2-5
He Did, He Can, He Will
- Martin Luther
The God that stopped the sun on high
And sent the manna from the sky
Laid flat the walls of Jericho
And put to flight all Israel's foe
Why can't He answer prayer today
And drive each stormy cloud away?
Who turned the water into wine
And healed a helpless cripple's spine
Commanded tempest, "Peace be still"
And hungry multitudes did fill.
His power is just the same today
So why not labour, watch and pray?
He conquered in the lion’s den
And brought Lazarus back alive again
He heard Elijah's cry for rain
And freed the sufferers from their pain
If He would do those wonders then
Let's prove our mighty God again!
Why can't the God who raised the dead
And gave little David, Goliath’s head
Who cast out the demons with a word
And sees the fall of one wee bird
Do signs and miracles today
In that same good old-fashioned way?
He can, He's just the same today!
