LONG LIFE

THE "PRESENCE OF THE GOD"

All those who encountered the "Presence of God" were forever changed and their lives transformed. Moses, David, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Jacob, Job....just to name a few! What was different about these than the others??? They came to the end of themselves and knew that they needed God to step in and move on their behalf. They humbled themselves before the lord and prayed. Yes, they all sought the lord!! They went alone.... They were not with a crowd of people. They were in their "prayer closet", "the secret place of the most high God".

Jesus himself went all alone to a single person out of his way and once they encountered Jesus, they were forever changed and their lives transformed. The lady at the well. The adulterous woman they wanted stone. After all had left, Jesus forever changed her life.

Saul all alone on the road...encountered the Lord... And was "never" the same.

Majority of Christians have never experienced the presence of God???  They do not know what they don't know. They think religion is about do's and dont's. A bunch of rules. Or worse free pass to continue on the path of destruction. They don’t understand that good intentions is a form of religion but, still not of God

Once you have you own encounter in the presence of God, that scripture like a deer pants for water... You desire to dwell in the secret place of the highest god and be found in him alone. For only in his presence can god truly take us from faith to faith, from glory to glory.

Only in His presence can He equip us with everything He has to give us.

Yes, the Holy Spirit in us through the baptism of the Holy Spirit dwells in us. But many have not gotten there yet. They are still on the road like Saul, the persecutor of real Christians!

People don't need religion. We all must come to the secret place all alone seeking the Lord's presence. Only then will our lives be forever changed and transformed.

What happened when these were in the presence of the Lord? We heard about you before, but....now I have seen you!!

Yes, in that moment they saw the glory of the Lord in all of his splendor, majesty and power!! Also, God gave them his marching orders. His divine purpose, plan, will and destiny for this life. They heeded the voice of the lord. Nothing could stop them or distract them from what God told them to do.

Nothing.

What made them seek God's face to begin with??? It was their faith that God was real and that only God could help them and give them guidance, wisdom, knowledge, revelation and understanding.

We all must how our own individual encounter with the Lord. One on one. Standing in his presence.....in that secret place. Only then will our lives be changed forever in His presence and transformed.

Also, it was not a one-time thing for these. Once they encountered the presence of the Lord. They sought the Lord continually and heeded His voice continually.

Then God "sent" them out to follow His marching orders. Yes, God equipped them with everything that they needed to accomplish His divine will, plan, purpose and destiny in this earth.

No, it was no easy or fun task for them. On the contrary, they endured and suffered much as the world did not accept them. No, none of these received accolades from "people" nor did they enjoy "fame" on a stage!!

Yes, the harvest is plenty. But, the workers are few!

God does not save "the world" with religion. Only "in his presence" as we see "who God is" and humble ourselves, seeking his face and heeding His word....only then are we in place where God can and will transform our lives forever.

One on one...all alone with God almighty. That is what is lacking with religion

Yes, once you seek God first in all things and are in His presence.... All the rest will take care of itself for you live your life committed to the god alone. Yes, Jesus told us if we got that "one" commandment all the rest would fall perfectly into place. Amen

STAND IN FAITH

I used to think of people as trees. In time lapse photography, one can watch a tree grow and move, but in daily life they appear solid and static.

In time lapse, the forests move like clouds, boiling up out of the ground and moving across prairies and deserts. In daily life, the forests seem still, not marching anywhere, and recently, quickly evaporating into sawmills. It seems to me that we might be like trees to angels. We may appear slow or frozen in time like trees, to an angel outside of time constraints, living in eternity.

I'm not sure if they can move back and forth in time, to see the past in the future and the future in the past. I don't know what eternity is like, being stuck here in my time frame, my point of view. If I climbed a tree and cut off a branch, the tree is slow to notice that a branch is gone. It doesn't sense or see the person who touched it, only knowing something removed a branch, or drove in a nail.

I wonder if we perceive angels that slowly, only noticing when they have gone past. Knowing something happened, but not knowing exactly what. I know angels appear as men to people, talk with them, eat with them, touch them, fight for them. I'm not saying we cannot perceive angels when they want us to see them. I'm just wondering how much goes on around us that we never perceive, because we are living in time, at a certain pace of daily life, and they are outside time and space, living in eternity.

Elijah asked the Lord to open his servant's eyes that he might see the sky filled with chariots of fire all around them, instead of just the army on the hill against them. Lord, open our eyes to see that there are more for us than against us. This is not a fair fight. The battle is the Lord's and the victory thereof. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord! Give Him praise! Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords and He shall reign forever and ever, amen.

Long Life Is a Promise of God

Long life is a promise of God. Long life is a blessing from God. God wants us to have long days and an abundant life and we must understand this. According to the Bible, we are able to control our time on earth.

God wants you to have long life abundantly and Satan wants you to have short life and peril. Why would God desire life for you and why would Satan desire death?

God has a plan for you. He has things He wants you to do for Him and for His kingdom. He wants you to live your life in such a way that others will be attracted to your lifestyle and want to be like you. His desire for those who follow Him is prosperity, peace, and abundance in all areas.

The devil, on the other hand, wants your life shortened. He knows that a believer who lives a long life of prosperity and health will attract others to the kingdom of God. Satan hates God and will do everything possible to make the kingdom of God look unappealing.

Satan is the king of deception. He tempts us and tricks us into missing God's blessing of long life by tempting us into disobedience.

Proverbs 3:1-2 says that if we do not forget God's law and if we keep His commands, then God will add length of days and long life. Likewise, if we make light of the laws of God through our repeated disobedience and lack of repentance and if our heart is not set toward keeping His commands, we limit our days on this earth.

Another scripture about our longevity is Ephesians 6:2-3, which tells us that if we honor our parents, then our life on earth will be long. This is one of the reasons that Satan seeks to destroy the family. Rebellion and contention in the home and the dishonoring of parents shortens our lives.

It is true that the thief comes to steal, kill, and to destroy. (John 10:10.) We must understand that we are the ones who are the target of his destruction. Every day that a Christian walks on this earth in the fullness of God, he or she witnesses to the glory of God. We should seek out God's Word, follow His commands, and do everything possible to add length to our days. Although we are told man's days on the earth shall be one hundred and twenty years (Gen. 6:3), the quality of life is more important than the quantity. We should live each day to its fullest so that when we reach the end of our time here on earth, we are satisfied and at peace knowing that we have accomplished all that He has called us to do. By living all of our days in the fullness of God and His Word, we bring glory to Him.

GOD IS WITH YOU UPHOLDING YOU :

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. - Isaiah 41:10

It is easy to say, “Praise the Lord! Hallelujah!” when times are good. It is easy to believe that God loves you when you are on the mountain top enjoying the sunshine. But what happens when you are down in the dark valley surrounded by your enemies?

Perhaps today, you are in the valley of marital, financial or bodily trouble, and you are asking, “Where is God?”

My friend, He is right there with you. The God of the valleys says to you, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

When King Jehoshaphat was surrounded and outnumbered by his enemies, the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jahaziel and he said to the king, “Don’t be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you. Don’t fear or be dismayed. Tomorrow, go out against them for the Lord is with you.” (2 Chronicles 20:14–17)

What King Jehoshaphat did next was brilliant. He acted with wisdom from on high. Instead of putting his commandos in front, he put worshipers in front! What did the worshipers sing? They sang of God’s love for them — “Praise the Lord for His love endures forever!” And God utterly destroyed their enemies! (2 Chronicles 20:21–23, NIV)

Beloved, it is not the trials that make us strong, but our responses in those trials. The devil wants us to respond by asking, “Where is God?” But God wants us to respond with faith in His love for us. We are more than conquerors not because of our love for Him, but through Him who loves us. (Romans 8:37)

So whatever valley you are in today, don’t be afraid. God is there with you strengthening and upholding you. Just sing of His love for you and let Him fight your battles for you!

Thought For The Day :
It is how we respond during trials — with faith in God’s love for us — that makes us strong.

Live Like Jesus

But [Christ Jesus] made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men. - Philippians 2:7

The truth of this verse hasn't really dawned on most people. They mistakenly think that Jesus was able to work wonders, to perform miracles, and to live above sin because He had divine powers that we don't have. Thus, they have never really aspired to live like He lived.

"Oh my," they say with great humility, "I could never live like Jesus did. After all, He had an advantage. He was God!"

They don't realize that when Jesus came to earth, He voluntarily gave up that advantage, living His life here not as God but as a man. He had no innate supernatural powers. He had no ability to perform miracles until after He was anointed by the Holy Spirit as recorded in Luke 3:22. He worked wonders, not by His own power but by the power of the Father, saying, "The Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works" (John 14:10).

And when He prayed, He prayed not as a divine One who had authority as God, but as a man who walked obediently with God. And, as Hebrews 5:7 says, "His prayers were heard not because of His deity, but because of His reverence toward God" (AMP).

Jesus, the divine Son of God, set aside the privileges and powers of deity for a time and lived as a man on earth. Once you grasp that, it will absolutely thrill your soul! Why? Because it means that you, as a reborn child of God, filled with the same Holy Spirit as Jesus was, have the same opportunity to live as He lived on earth. In fact, that is exactly what He intends. In John 17:18 He said to the Father, "Just as You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world."

Jesus has sent you into the world to live as He lived. Through the new birth, He's enabled you to exchange the sinful nature of Adam for the sinless nature of God.

He's given you the ability and the command to live above sin, to live in fellowship with the Father, to preach the gospel, to heal the sick, to raise the dead, to cast out demons, and to make disciples.

Once you realize that, you'll throw off the shackles of doubt that have held you back. You'll begin to live as Jesus meant for you to live--not as a sin-ridden son of fallen man, but as a reborn child of the Most High God. Then those around you will actually begin to see Jesus--in you.
