We All Need Encouragement ...
The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed (distressed, anxious or
uncomfortable), a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your
name (Jesus) trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who
seek you. Psalm 9:9-10
There is a time for everything, and a
season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a
time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance. Ecclesiastes 3:1,2 & 4
When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider this:
God has made the one as well as the other. Ecclesiastes 7:14a
Jesus said, Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will
worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34
Paul writes, Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united
with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the
Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by
being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one
mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in
humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own
interests but each of you to the interests of the others. Philippians
2:1-4
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 2 Corinthians 4:17
