ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH

According To Your Faith

Those who trust in the LORD Are like Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved, but abides forever.  As the mountains surround Jerusalem, So the LORD surrounds His people From this time forth and forever.  For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest  On the land allotted to the righteous, Lest the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity. Psalm 125:1-3

But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, "Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour. Matthew 9:22

God releases our blessings to us according to our faith, and with the same faith, we quench all the fiery darts of the devil that are out to tamper with such blessings. The use of faith makes a great change in our negative circumstances and that is Satan’s target is always the faith of the believer. He knows that if he neutralizes the faith of the believer, things will not change for the believer. Faith is the master key that unlocks not only the riches and resources of heaven but through faith  kingdoms are subdue, righteousness worked righteousness, promised obtained promises, and  the mouths of lions are stopped. When our faith is down, we become utterly vulnerable to the enemies attacks, wicked schemings and his destructive plans . We need to fight the good fight of faith so as to lay hold on our eternal inheritance and never let our guard down. Our  divine health and divine prosperity is determined by the faith that is at work in us for God’s word is unchanging:

and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power  which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,  far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. Ephesians 1:19-21

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,  to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21

Jesus said, "Take away the stone." Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, "Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days." Jesus said to her, "Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?"  Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, "Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.  "And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me."  Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth!" And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, "Loose him, and let him go." John 11:39-44

Jesus told doubting Martha, the sister of dead Lazarus, if you would believe you would see the glory of God?" And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Yes, what actually flows to us  is determined by the faith that is at work in us.  It is our faith that ensures the manifestation of the glory of God in our lives but some times we need to roll away the stone of unbelief. It has to go for us to be free.

Jesus could not do mighty works in Nazareth (Mark 6:5) and we are told that He marveled at their unbelief. If mankind is to benefit from God’s deliverance, it is important for the stone of unbelief to be removed. With God all things are possible and they are only limited by our belief. When we tap into the law of the Spirit of life, it sets us free from the laws of nature. God’s word is unchanging:

Now in the morning, as He returned to the city, He was hungry.  And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, "Let no fruit grow on you ever again." Immediately the fig tree withered away.   And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, "How did the fig tree wither away so soon?"  So Jesus answered and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' it will be done. "And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." Mark 21:18-22

"For with God nothing will be impossible." Luke 1:37

Jesus told us that the things that are impossible with men are  possible with God. He told us that according to our faith so shall it be (Mark 10:27). In the gospel of Jesus Christ, two  blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, "Son of David, have mercy on us!" And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They said to Him, "Yes, Lord."  Then He touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith let it be to you. " (Matthew 9:27-28). God’s word is unchanging:

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.  By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.  By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks. By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, "and was not found, because God had taken him"; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:1-6

God, who has unlimited riches, resources and power, rewards people who seek Him with miracles including spiritual, physical and financial! The blind men received their sight because they used their faith. And because Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever, He is more than able and willing to do wonderful things for those who believe, exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask, pray or think according to the power that works in us. But if some people are not receiving their miracles it is probably because they don’t believe God that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Yet God’s word is unchanging:

"You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.  "No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.  John 15:16

Jesus Christ chose us and appointed us that we should go and bear fruit and that our fruit should remain. It is not His will that we be barren and fruitless and faithless. Yes God expects us to be people of faith who have results through our prayers, words and deeds. No matter whether we are in  the deepest valleys and the darkest nights,  we don’t let fear take over but use our God given faith in God to call upon Jesus  go boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). God’s word is unchanging:

By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land, whereas the Egyptians, attempting to do so, were drowned.  By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven days. By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace. And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel and the prophets: who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,  quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.  Women received their dead raised to life again. And others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection. Hebrews 11:29-35

If we are living and walking in the Spirit of the Lord and are obedient to His voice we will have the faith that produces results.  As a result the Holy Spirit is our helper, our guide, our teacher who helps us by the Spirit us put to death the deeds of the body. Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26). He also enables us in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, to  fully preached the gospel of Christ. God’s word is unchanging:

And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,  that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.  However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.  But as it is written:  "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man  The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.  These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.  But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.  For "who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:1-16

Our speech and our preaching are not to be with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that the faith of our hearers should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.  We speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual for we have the mind of Christ.  And our words are confirmed with signs and wonders following!  We lay hands on the sick, and believe they shall recover (Mark 16:17-18).  We have a faith that heals, and faith that delivers—the faith of God.  Miracles and healings are the wonderful works of faith. Faith in God heals the sick; the Bible declares it.

Dead faith doesn't belong to God; He has nothing to do with dead faith. Live faith comes from God; when He gives us faith, He gives us His heart, His mind, His greatness, and in return, so we can be His hands, His eyes, His ears and do the same works His only begotten Son did when He was here on earth and even greater works.  God’s word is unchanging:

Then the Word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.  And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people. Then there arose some from what is called the Synagogue of the Freedmen (Cyrenians, Alexandrians, and those from Cilicia and Asia), disputing with Stephen.  And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.  Acts 6:7-10

Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.  And there was great joy in that city. Acts 8:5-8
