WORDS AND LIFE

Striving about Words and Life

"I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; Deuteronomy 30:19

For not he who commends himself is approved, but whom the Lord commends. 2 Corinthians 10:18

God is never against His own true people. He is always for them. They by their decisions choose to walk in Him or stray from His ways. Then they end in death and evil circumstances and wonder why they are in the wrong place when they started so well with Him. But their wrong decisions ended them there. Their willful choices ended them there. So it is with each person in life. They make choices and listen to the wrong voices and then wonder how they ended where they did.

Life is not a promise of the very best all the time - a long huge birthday party. Life is life. It is real and can bring great danger and sometimes requires real commitments and agreements that lead to life changing circumstances. But, for God’s true ones their end will be better than their beginning. Sometimes, what is required is a lot of faith and trust in Him that He will bring them through a long dark cold tunnel without much light it seems at the end of it. But it is only a tunnel. It will end and the light of day will break the darkness. God will always do this for the ones He truly loves.  So He will do it for them.

God’s true ones must keep up the faith. Keep up the walk. Keep up the trust. Keep up the chin. Keep up the smile for God is coming through. The end of the tunnel is coming. The break of day is dawning. These are His words and not theirs. He is leading His true ones through the darkness. He is providing as He has provided down the centuries for many before them. This is only the beginning of what the Ancient of Days can do for those who love Him. As they place their hand in His and walk on together with their God and Friend!

The winds of the Spirit are shifting and changing. They are moving the evil out and replacing it with good. They are blowing upon the dead drift wood and breathing life into it. The healing of the land is coming. It is like a sweet and gentle rain. It drips, drips, drips upon the land and brings healing and change.  The mouth of man is full of the things of the Spirit. The mouth is bringing healing, wisdom, joy and strength. It is calling spirit to spirit. It is healing the land from the inside out. The wind is blowing, sometimes at hurricane force winds for those who are meant to leave the land. Those who have chosen their own way. Those who are full of themselves and have become corrupted. For them the wind is blowing against them. It is taking them away from the land. It is leading them to their own land full of their evil ways.

The landscape is changing. It is seeing healing and the truth come forth in many churches and organizations. The political scene is changing. No longer will evil men be acceptable or ways considered honorable. They are being exposed for what they are. They are being rooted out and destroyed. They will be no more shortly. Keep on watching. They are all leaving. God is restoring His people and His land. He will not tolerate the enemy any longer. His wiles are defeated and destroyed. The people need a chance for freedom and they are going to have their day. The enemy is routed. The gates of hell will not prevail. Even the hell found in one’s own mind is defeated.

The winds of revival are hitting all across this land. It will bring great change and new opportunities and greater revival. All is changing. All is coming. All is in progress. All is healing. It’s truly a new day. The day of the Greatest Revival has dawned. It is on the way!

Great is the faithfulness of the Lord! Morning by morning new mercies we see! Great is the faithfulness of the Lord for He is good and His mercies endure forever! Let the enemy be destroyed and the land be healed. The enemy is defeated and the joy of the Lord brings healing and change. Man is no longer what he used to be. He is what was meant to be. He is going to tell the people the truth and the anointing will enter into human hearts and break all yokes. The yoke is broken off the oxen’s neck. The enemy is defeated and the yoke is removed.

The freedom of the Holy Spirit is coming in as a breath of fresh air to all who will receive. The winds of the Spirit are blowing all across the land. The enemy is defeated. Great is the great I AM!  God’s true ones are to walk in the victory He has provided the day He was Glorified as their Savior and King! However there are many who have not considered the Word of God which states:

This is a faithful saying:  For if we died with Him,  We shall also live with Him.  If we endure,  We shall also reign with Him.  If we deny Him,  He also will deny us. If we are faithless,  He remains faithful;  He cannot deny Himself.  Remind them of these things, charging them before the Lord not to strive about words to no profit, to the ruin of the hearers.

Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and idle babblings, for they will increase to more ungodliness. And their message will spread like cancer. Hymenaeus and Philetus are of this sort, who have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past; and they overthrow the faith of some.

Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity." But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor.

Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:11-22

Many strive about words which bring no profit but only ruin to the hearers. By it’s doers of the Word of God and not hearers only who get blessed by God.  Some have strayed away from the truth and have become vessels not for honor but for dishonor. They did not rightly divide the word of truth but uttered profane and idle babblings. They missed the Word of God to them that said:

My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body. Indeed, we put bits in horses' mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires.

Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. James 3:1-6

They who desired to be teachers did not understand that they themselves will receive stricter judgment for not controlling their tongues and checking what wisdom they were using. For God’s word states:

Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh. Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.

But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. James 3:10-17

Many prominent preachers, teachers and evangelists who ignored the roles and purposes of Apostles and prophets fail to understand and teach about the Spirit of the Lord that was on Jesus and should be on all of God’s people:

The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him,  The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,  The Spirit of counsel and might,  The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.  His delight is in the fear of the LORD,  And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes,  Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;  But with righteousness He shall judge the poor,  And decide with equity for the meek of the earth;  He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth,  And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.  Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins,  And faithfulness the belt of His waist. Isaiah 11:2-5

That the words of that Moses spoke would be true of God’s people this day and in this generation:

Then Moses said to him, "Are you zealous for my sake? Oh, that all the LORD'S people were prophets and that the LORD would put His Spirit upon them!" Numbers 11:29

That God’s people would be edified and come to the unity of faith, unto the perfect man to the measure of the fullness of Christ. That they no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting. God’s Word is unchanging:

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head-Christ- from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. Ephesians 4:11-16

God is not a respecter of persons and does not show partiality. Each member of the body is important and is to do its part and share to cause growth of the whole body. For the purpose of edifying of itself in love and not just that one on particular members.

Now the road to life is not always easy. It requires a real desire to change and be open to the things of the Spirit. God’s people have too long listened to their teachers who practically know little more than they do. Yet, they have persisted in insisting they are right about what they know nothing about.  But God is passing the traditional churches and teachers. He is sending His whirlwind to devastate their land and what they thought was secure will be no longer secure. They have determined their own fate when they didn’t do what He commanded them to do. They have remained cloistered and closed to the world thereby forcing Him to look elsewhere for workers to bring into His harvest.

God has much work for them to do and they have not done it or desired to do it. They have closed themselves off from His Holy Spirit and therefore closed themselves off from His power so they have done what He has called them to do. They are the losers but so are all who they would have touched and saved. So now they have a terrible price to pay for not doing what He has commanded them to do For God’s word is true:

The LORD is slow to anger and great in power,  And will not at all acquit the wicked. The LORD has His way  In the whirlwind and in the storm,  And the clouds are the dust of His feet.  He rebukes the sea and makes it dry,  And dries up all the rivers.  Bashan and Carmel wither,  And the flower of Lebanon wilts.  The mountains quake before Him,  The hills melt,  And the earth heaves at His presence,  Yes, the world and all who dwell in it.  Who can stand before His indignation?  And who can endure the fierceness of His anger?  His fury is poured out like fire,  And the rocks are thrown down by Him.  The LORD is good,  A stronghold in the day of trouble;  And He knows those who trust in Him. But with an overflowing flood  He will make an utter end of its place,  And darkness will pursue His enemies. Nahum 1:3-8
