They Possessed the Land

They Possessed the Land

'But I have said to you, "You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey." I am the LORD your God, who has separated you from the peoples. Leviticus 20:24

The LORD gave them rest all around, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers. And not a man of all their enemies stood against them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand. Joshua 21:44

God is for and with and not against His true ones. As He was with Moses, Jesus and others so is He with them, He who won the greatest battle on Calvary lives and is giving them the spoils of war which will sustain them in the years ahead. They can watch and see His salvation for God’s is bringing new revelation knowledge to them about Himself so they can walk in humility and His Love, as it will sustain them in the days ahead, so that their service to Him will be a pure service.  But they need to remember to remain humble! Because it is so easy to walk away into pride and self-dependency or assurance that just because God has given them a little power or gifting they  are perfect in all aspects of their  understanding or knowledge of Him. This will not be true. They are to walk in His humility of how little they really know of Him   and are to give the others His Person and Promises. They are not to ever promote themselves or their truths. They are to promote Him who is faithful and true and His truths.

His true ones are to walk purely in Him. Walk sensibly. Walk confidant in who He is and not in who they are. They are to walk peaceably with all men but walk with the integrity. God is moving all the mountains out in their way. He is changing the landscape and healing their land. He is moving the oceans out on their behalf. He will not be moved in His purposes for their lives. He is changing the circumstances because they have asked Him to for He works all things according to the counsel of His will. His word is true:

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,  just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,  having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,  to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved.

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace  which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself,  that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth-in Him.

In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,  that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:3-12

Because God’s true ones have trusted Him and rely on Him to change their inward man and attitudes He is doing so because they trust Him. He is changing the events of their lives. He is going to give them are more than ever dreamt possible for He is that kind of God and His word is true:

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:31-32

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,  from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,  that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,  may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height-  to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:14-21

So God’s true ones must keep holding to Him and trusting in Him and walking in Him. He is changing everything on their behalf because they are His precious children. They can expect Him to move the mountains and enemies out in their life. They can expect healing and change. They can expect revelation knowledge of God to come to them. The knowledge of how to totally depend and trust on Him. How to allow Him to flow freely through their life. How to walk in  His Spirit and how to discern the needs and problems others are facing so that they  can help or seek help for them.

There is a clear understanding and discernment of people that is coming to His true ones where they will be able to help others or bring them to where they can find real help. To help them by the Power of the Holy Spirit.  For it’s all by God’s  grace anyway. As God’s true ones walk in His  grace and peace and watch and see what He  will do in them  and through them for others, as they let His love flow freely through them to others.

Men do not fully understand who it is that is walking along beside them and within them. The methods of men are many and varied to reaching or achieving their goals and purposes. Yet, their greatest desire should be toward God—their Creator and author. Unfortunately, often they start out meaning well and end far from Him.  A  man needs only deviate from the path God has set for them very, very slightly and by the end of the journal he has missed by many a mile.  God cries for man and plead with him to return to Him, this is possible through His Holy Spirit in their life. Yet, men reject the truth and prefer the darkness to which they have gotten used to. They desire the darkness more than the light. This is man’s folly. He desires it because he fears to face the truth about himself. That he is wrong. That he is afraid. That he is a failure. It is one of the devil’s greatest weapons against man.  Yet, if man will bravely face his fears and go beyond his panic he will come to a place of beauty and new truth and understanding in God that will make all his effort worthwhile. He will learn and grow and change in ways he never imagined. But, even this new revelation can be lost or forgotten if man doesn’t keep his eyes stayed on the Lord. He has to remain in his first love or he will lose even what he has learnt. It is easy to do when the world pressures men with many concerns and lustful desires crowd out the real truth for what seems to be truth--the ‘world’s truth.’

God’s children must not faint or grow tired in well doing. They must walk in the light of the Heavenly Father and trust Him to bring healing and change to their spirits and persons. This is possible by faith and through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. Without Christ, man can’t be changed or made whole. Man needs what God did on the Cross and he needs to take everything that is wrong or a concern to Him to the foot of the Cross ‘moment by moment’ in his walk through life.  The person who can be doing other things and yet remain with their mind and spirit on the Lord is the person abiding in the Vine. No God in Jesus Christ is the Vine and vinedresser. He will prune and sustain His with sun and water and fertilizer. If they will simply ‘like little children’ trust all of their person and cares to Him routinely. God is more than capable to caring for man because He does so deeply cares for him. He loves man more than men could ever love Him.  He has been reaching out to man to rest in Him. Then, true peace comes from resting in their Lord and Savior. Men can trust Him, but men must sometimes ‘walk on water.’ Their faith must be stretched out toward Him in implicit Trust. Man must be willing to say, ‘if thou wouldst slay me, yet will I trust You!’

God desires to care for His children and see them through to victory in all their affairs of life. He desires them to put their entire beings into His capable hands. If they would open their ears and listen only to His Voice they will receive the right directions for their lives. Then they would not be spinning their wheels in things God has not called them to be doing. What many may be doing may very well be good but it is not what He has called them to do.  It is important that men follow God’s purposes for their life and not their own ideas, no matter how good they may be. God is their provision and even when it seems nothing is happening He is always at work. He is working His purposes on the earth and men are being led of His invisible hand without their even knowing it. God has not changed. What He has e been doing in the affairs of men He has done since the beginning of time? He will not be overridden and His word is true:

For His dominion is an everlasting dominion,  And His kingdom is from generation to generation.  All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; He does according to His will in the army of heaven  And among the inhabitants of the earth.  No one can restrain His hand  Or say to Him, "What have You done?"

At the same time my reason returned to me, and for the glory of my kingdom, my honor and splendor returned to me. My counselors and nobles resorted to me, I was restored to my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added to me.  Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride He is able to put down. Daniel 4:34-37

God desires more of His church leaders and teachers walk closer to Him so they can better achieve the purposes He has called them to. They can do this by humbling themselves before Him and loving His sheep—even to the last little lost one!  He desires that the needy, the humbled, the hurt, the lonely, the dying, the orphan and the widow be ministered to and loved into the Kingdom. His church has not done this in the main. Here and there it is being done, but few are being reached because the body as a whole is not doing what God has called them to do.

If God’s people would pray and humble themselves they would receive His messages to them and words to them and would be successful in a spiritual sense. Though they look successful in outward appearance, in inward spirit, they are generally failures and have missed the point. They must be willing to get dirty for the Kingdom. To go out and meet the needs of the people who are hurting and dying all around them. They must be willing to get involved in people’s lives and do it with a pure heart before God. To say to God—not my will but your Will be done—just the way Jesus said it. They can do it. God has faith in them. They can do it.

So, with a real heart of love—let His people go forth and minister to the needy and watch what He will do for them. And watch what He will give them because He loves them and He wants to bless them in ways they have not yet seen. How can He bless what He has not been given room to do? How can He bless when His real will is not being done. But, there is hope for God’s People. They can change if they humble themselves and ask Him to help them. He wills to heal and change them and bring them into a right relationship with Him. He has much He desires to teach and provide them in spiritual gifts. They need only stop judging others and second-guessing Him. They need only do what He has called them to do with a pure heart. Then men will all see what the current Church as a whole can do in God’s service and purposes. Many will be healed and saved and changed by this new enlightened generation. As they just give God a chance and watch and see what they all with Him can do together!
