HE HEALED

He Healed Every One of Them

Now He arose from the synagogue and entered Simon's house. But Simon's wife's mother was sick with a high fever, and they made request of Him concerning her. So He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them.   When the sun was setting, all those who had any that were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them. And demons also came out of many, crying out and saying, "You are the Christ, the Son of God!" And He, rebuking them, did not allow them to speak, for they knew that He was the Christ. Luke 4:38-41

Jesus healed all who came to Him out of whatever made them sick or afflicted them be it natural or supernatural! He never had any lack of healing in His ministry and didn’t have to blame the lack on their lack of faith, unconfessed or hidden sin, or some other things?

It always amazes me that we have so called men of God in our midst, who cannot work miracles or get instant answers to their prayers, assure us that they have the right theology and are qualified to teach others. They would tell us that a Christian cannot be demon possessed even if he is ravaged and destroyed by a demon of infirmity such as cancer! But Jesus never made a distinction between natural sickness and demonic sickness? He just healed them and cast out spirits with His word.

When Simon Peter's wife's mother was sick with a high fever, He stood over her and rebuked the fever and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them. Jesus rebuked the fever because it was a spirit and not a natural sickness which would have caused Him to lay hands on her!

When all those who had any that were sick with various diseases were brought them to Him, He laid His hands on every one of them and healed them. And demons also came out of many, and He rebuked them. But we have so called men of God today who cannot heal the sick in their midst, never mind cast demons out of people whether they be Christian or non Christian.  And then they would tell us they have the answers to life and about God? Hogwash! They are just the blind leading the blind! But God’s word is unchanging:

Ask the LORD for rain In the time of the latter rain.  The LORD will make flashing clouds;  He will give them showers of rain,  Grass in the field for everyone. Zechariah 10:1

"For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven,  And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble.  And the day which is coming shall burn them up," Says the LORD of hosts,  "That will leave them neither root nor branch.  But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise  With healing in His wings;  And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves. You shall trample the wicked,  For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet  On the day that I do this," Says the LORD of hosts. Malachi 4:1-3

In answer to the prayers of His people God who isn’t deaf has promised sends showers of the Holy Spirit and brings healing to the land and to His people. As a result people with cancer, arthritis, high blood pressure, back pain are touched, healed and delivered by the power of God.  Marriages are restored, family members are saved and finances are healed.

Yes, Jesus Christ cared and cares for the whole man body, soul and spirit. So many preachers care only about the souls of men or money and not about what has caused hurt and pain to people or the issues of integrity and character. Many brow beat the sheep from the pulpit with words and don’t heal and deliver them. They say bad things about them and are afraid to entrust them with things in the church. But Jesus Christ was not like that at all He even allowed Judas who would betray him to be a disciple and heal the sick and cast out demons.

In many churches, when a Christian makes a mistake, other Christians condemn them, criticize them and gossip about them. However, God has commanded His people to love one another, cover one another and protect one another.  He told us to humble our heart to pray for a fallen brother or sister and speak the truth to them in love knowing that we ourselves are temped. When we help them find their way, through repentance, back into the will of God, we will save their soul from death and we will please the Father. It is not only important to lead people to Jesus, but also to support them as they run their race and to help them to finish their race and cross the finish line. God’s word is unchanging:

Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Philippians 2:14

We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death.  Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.   By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.  But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?  My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. 1 John 3:14-18

The house of God should not only be a house of prayer but a house of healing where all of God’s children can find help and healing and encouragement from the sickness, diseases, battles and lacks. It should not be a place of social gathering or a vehicle for the pastor’s vision but a healing and deliverance center where God’s people can be healed and delivered any time of the day or night. God’s word is unchanging:

And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,  "Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD to the shepherds: "Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks?  "You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool; you slaughter the fatlings, but you do not feed the flock.  "The weak you have not strengthened, nor have you healed those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor sought what was lost; but with force and cruelty you have ruled them.  "So they were scattered because there was no shepherd; and they became food for all the beasts of the field when they were scattered.  "My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and on every high hill; yes, My flock was scattered over the whole face of the earth, and no one was seeking or searching for them." Ezekiel 34:1-6

Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:14-16

Jesus Christ has not changed. He is a healing and miracle working Jesus who delights to do great and wonderful things for those who believe. And we are people who believe. We are people of faith who move in the anointing. We believe in healing by faith and in healing by the anointing. We teach faith and encourage people to exercise their faith.  But to minister by the anointing and to see instant healing the way Jesus did it, we have the same Jesus walking, living and talking in our midst. To minister healing we must have a relationship with Jesus. We must hear Him. We must reach out to Him.

Every healing Jesus did was out of His relationship with the Father. He heard the Father. It is good to pull Jesus around and let Him do the healing still. We must wait until water inside is stirred. Jesus did His works by His relationship with His Father. Likewise, we do the works by our relationship with Jesus. He is the vine and we are the branches. Without Him we can do nothing. And the Holy Spirit is our lifeline. He brings Jesus presence into our heart. He is the line through whom we can hear from Jesus.   We have to wait and be still until He decides to manifest His healing anointing, for the power of the LORD to be present to heal all. God’s word is unchanging:

Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them. Then behold, men brought on a bed a man who was paralyzed, whom they sought to bring in and lay before Him. And when they could not find how they might bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the housetop and let him down with his bed through the tiling into the midst before Jesus.  When He saw their faith, He said to him, "Man, your sins are forgiven you."  And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, "Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?" But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, He answered and said to them, "Why are you reasoning in your hearts?  "Which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven you,' or to say, 'Rise up and walk'?  "But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins"-He said to the man who was paralyzed, "I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house."  Immediately he rose up before them, took up what he had been lying on, and departed to his own house, glorifying God. And they were all amazed, and they glorified God and were filled with fear, saying, "We have seen strange things today!"  Luke 5:17-26

In the healing presence of Jesus Christ Jesus is present in person. Why does healing manifest so much in His life? Because His name is Jesus which means Jehovah is my salvation. Salvation for the spirit, soul and body. His very name means healing. So when Jesus is present His healing presence comes. We cannot divide the presence from the person.  We have to have the person before we have the presence. And it’s so important that we worship Jesus the person before His healing presence manifests. And it is only when a group of believers worship and extol the person of Jesus, that His presence comes.

The Holy Spirit is only the channel by which Jesus Christ Himself comes. Jesus is omnipresent and the Holy Spirit is present in our midst to lift up Jesus. The Holy Spirit wants you to worship Jesus and to extol the person of Jesus. When we extol His presence, His presence comes. The anointing is the presence and a Person who came and walked in our midst brings that presence.  And while the healing anointing was there, the scribes were arguing away and reasoning among themselves.   Jesus told the paralytic man, “Your sins are forgiven.” So they asked, “Who can forgive sins but God alone?” Jesus said some of the most marvelous things which we must take heed if we need a touch from God. “Which is easier to say, ‘Thy sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise take up your bed and walk?’ “Which is easier? Nobody answered. Nobody knew the answer. And Jesus turned around and said, “That you may know that the Son of Man had power to forgive sins, rise, take up your bed and walk.” And the man walked. Jesus was saying that for Him to forgive sins and for Him to heal bodies are the same.

The same presence of Jesus whose name means Jehovah is my salvation can be a reality in our lives. Salvation is for spirit, soul and body. When we love Jesus and heed His words, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit will come to us and make our home with us. God will manifest Himself on this earth and where God is miracles happen.  The works of Jesus and the greater works of Jesus are only being done by a few because not many people love Jesus with true love. People don’t live with Jesus the way He wants us to live with Him. Jesus is lovely and so beautiful, beyond description. God’s word is unchanging:

"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.  "By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.   "As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. "If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.  "These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. "This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.  "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. "You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. John 15:7-14

The late Rev. Smith Wigglesworth strongly believed that "cancer" was an out and out attack of the Devil upon people's bodies. And he fought it with the "sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God" and the "power of the Holy Ghost." Thousands of people were healed through this one man's ministry of faith throughout the whole world. He would walk up to people and lay his hands on them and the cancer(if it were on their face or outward body) would just fall off on the floor. If it were inward, it would completely die and dry up.

We might say, "I could never do something like that!" This man was no more special than any other child of God and he read the Bible and did what it said. God is looking for us to just take Him at His Word and step out in simple childlike faith to speak to the sick, lay hands on them and He will heal them, PERIOD.

The late Rev. John G. Lake was a businessman turned preacher. He had several members of his own family die prematurely BEFORE he learned from the Word of God to STOP PRAYING and START COMMANDING demons and sickness to go "in Jesus name". He studied the Word and began to put together a training manual in which he taught those called to be saints of God like you and I to step out in simple childlike faith and BELIEVE that God would honor His Word and heal, deliver and set the captives free! Thousands of people were healed through his ministry in Africa. When he moved to Spokane, Washington, in the early 1900's, he began to train "faithful" men and women how to "minister healing" instead of "praying and begging God to do something!" In a four year period, Rev. Lake's ministry team recorded over 100,000 people being healed, delivered and set free from every known disease in the name of Jesus through their simple "healing rooms".

We should be so sick and tired of the Devil being perceived as a formidable foe, when in reality, he is NOW a DEFEATED FOE, and we are here to ENFORCE that DEFEAT in the powe of the name and through the blood of Jesus. The demons of sickness and disease are NO MATCH for the name of Jesus and the "blood of the Lamb." At His name, "EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW" (sickness, disease, demon possession, addictions, etc.) and at the applying of the blood of the Lamb, the "captives" will be set free. Satan and his demons know that if we get this information from our heads into our spirits and we begin to step out in simple childlike faith, that the Lord will honor His Word and be with us, continuing to place His foot on the serpents neck and bring freedom and deliverance!  Many are tried and tested like Lazarus was but Jesus told His discples  "this sickness is NOT unto death!" God's  Word tells us :

"Though you walk though the valley of the shadow of DEATH, I am with you!"
"I AM the resurrection and the Life, through he (or she) were DEAD, yet shall they LIVE!"
"The Holy Spirit GIVE STRENGTH to our mortal bodies".
"The Word of God is MEDICINE to our bones".

We know from the book of Job that not all sickness and disease is caused by our sins. In the case of Job, he was allowed by God to be "afflicted by the Devil" for a period of time to prove to himself and all those around him "what he was made of!" Yes, sometimes, the Lord will allow "bad things to happen to (God's) people" and we have to endure hardship until the victory comes. But our God who is a good God will not leave them there if they trust Him like Job did. He will accomplish the work that He wants to work within them and He will heal them and restore to them what He allowed the Devil to take from them. God’s word is unchanging:

Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord-that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful. James 5:11
